All of our guests commented on how lovely the Town Hall was - the best thing they had ever been to! We could not have wished for a more professional and caring person to look after us. We had an absolutely wonderful day, thank you!

Getting married at Chester Zoo was a dream come true for us! But we had no idea just how magical it would all be. We were completely blown away by the beauty of the Oakfield - especially at Christmas! The building just seemed to come alive! Everywhere was so perfectly decorated and every little detail was thought about. From the minute we started planning we were put so at ease by the team who were there to help us every step of the way; we cannot thank them enough. The Oakfield staff made our day so relaxed and were there to cater for everyone’s needs all through the day; nothing was ever too much. Our wedding was everything we ever wanted and more, we wouldn't have changed a single thing and I cannot recommend Chester Zoo & The Oakfield enough. A truly magical day we will never forget. We look forward to returning to The Oakfield in the years to come to relive the perfect memories we made on our special day!

We found Whitworth Hall by accident. I was actually looking for another venue on line and the University of Manchester link came up. We fell in love with the neo-gothic Hall and the old science library that is now Christie’s Bistro, straight away. Rebecca and Adam made the planning experience so easy, enjoyable and uncomplicated which lead to the most perfect wedding day. We had an August wedding and it poured down with rain….. But it didn’t matter one bit. The Hall was so spacious and there was plenty of room downstairs to wander without needing to be outside. We got the whole place to ourselves – the ceremony and breakfast was in the hall and we had the reception in Christie’s Bistro next door which was open all day and night for us. All our guests were so complementary of the venue, it is in such a convenient location with a variety of accommodation and train stations within a mile of the hall. Yet, for the whole day, it felt secluded, quiet and ‘ours’. The breakfast was delicious and the wine was incredible (We had many grateful comments regarding the wine!) We can’t thank the staff enough for the most incredible of wedding days. What a perfect venue, what kind, generous staff and what a location. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a relaxed feel yet enjoys architecture, books, history and fancies a little bit of ‘wow factor’ on their day. Thank you all who were involved, Lou and Mike

A special Thank you to the Mill at Conder Green Team for hosting our perfect wedding on 3rd August. Neither us nor our guests are from the Lancaster area and so the venue was a surprise for everyone, with our guests commenting on how lovely a setting it was for a Wedding. We chose the Mill because it had a laid back feel, however the reception room is bright and modern and really suited the kind of feel we wanted for our day. We ate at the restaurant many times in the lead up to the big day on our trips over to visit and the food was always delicious (special mention for the Duck Lollipops which are incredible, we had these as canapés also for our wedding, but sadly I didn’t get to try any as I was too busy mingling!). On the day the food also received many compliments, with all the guests saying how delicious their wedding breakfast was along with the best sausage sandwich I have ever tasted in the evening. A huge thank you also has to go to Laura who has only recently joined the team, however is a total star and a true credit to the Mill and I can say I wouldn’t have felt as comfortable and our day wouldn’t have gone as well without her. Laura really knows her stuff and put us at ease before the big day as well as working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly and was on time. Thank you all for making our day perfect.

The venue was absolutely stunning, great for pictures and such a unique and fun place to have our ceremony and reception. The events team (Debbie and Victoria especially) were brilliant: they were friendly, answered all of our questions, were very quick to respond to emails, looked into special requests for us, and were very accommodating and professional. Debbie helped us coordinate on the day and made sure everything went smoothly, which was such a great help. The food was fantastic - we got great feedback from our guests - and the catering team gave great service and was really great in answering our queries and being flexible on requests like evening snacks etc. The ceremony room was all set up and ready before the guests arrived, then the setup of the gallery for the cocktail hour was also well-timed and organized, and the atrium for dinner was simply stunning. I would 100% recommend the venue to anyone looking for a beautiful and unique place to celebrate their wedding.

My husband and I waited 17 years to make our vows so we wanted something personal, unique and reflective of our relationship and personalities. We saw hotels, wedding venues where we would be one of several couples in a weekend and we're losing heart that we would find somewhere different. Then we contacted Dorfold Hall. What a decision!! We were invited to visit, where we were met by the owners!! I knew straight away nothing would compare. There is so much to see and unlimited possibilities. We had so many ideas and questions and each one was met with positivity, enthusiasm and further suggestions from Mr and Mrs Roundell. We set a date and booked the ceremony at the beautiful 12th century church next door. We held our wedding on 3Rd September 2016 and it was even more magical than we could have hoped for, even though it was raining. We had so many comments about the venue my husband and I cannot recommend Dorfold Hall highly enough if you are looking for a dream wedding. And if you do read this and book your wedding there, please invite us so we can visit and relive it's magic again!!!!

My sister had her wedding reception here 21st July and I can honestly say Kate and the team were absolutely brilliant, I can't fault a thing about the whole team! Everyone was just great, always smiling and making sure everything was just perfect! Kate made sure everything was in place and made sure my sister and brother in law had the day they dreamed it would be! Kate is just the best and so so lovely! Thank you for making it the most perfect and memorable day for us all, I want to go back and do it all over again! xx

I am writing as we just want to say a big big thank you for making it all so smooth for us! You have been absolutley brilliant with us and made us feel fully reassured that we can make our wedding day to suit us completely. You have been so natural about everything and made us feel really at ease! We are both massively giddy about the day now and working with the venue to make it our perfect day!

The Lowry was a beautiful modern venue for our wedding. The views outside the Compass Room were amazing. All the staff were incredibly helpful from the planning stage, right through to the actual day. It was a wonderful day, and I would definitely recommend it as a slightly different venue to the normal hotels and country clubs.
