The dream venue! We got married by a Registrar on the terrace overlooking the Suspension Bridge and it was perfect and utterly dreamy. The venue coordinator was extremely helpful and everything went very smoothly. Surely this is the best venue is Bristol?! We felt like we were flying in the sky and we were surrounded by nature, while also being in the middle of Bristol. Guests also get free access to the Giants Cave and Camera Obsecura, which is a fun extra. We had our reception at Avon Gorge Hotel as we had too many guests to fit in the Observatory so all our guests walked in a procession through the Down and over the road (10 min walk) with a marching Brass Band...perfecto!

Inspite of constant restrictions and uncertainty regarding if and how our wedding would take place, Ross and his amazing events team Inc catering and Planetarium staff went well beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Attentive, responsive, patient and creative team having to manage change right upto the week before the wedding. Always positive and solution focused. Highly recommend.

A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love, support, help and kindness that you have shown us both. From the first visit to Smedmore Julie has been unbelievably welcoming and it is fair to say that she, as well as the house, were the reasons we chose to have our special day here. Everyone has commented on the breath-taking views, the beautiful house and gardens. The house is absolutely exceptional with a vibrancy and character that is so unique. Keep doing what you are doing; its just fantastic here! We will never forget this weekend; the best day of our lives! Thank you so much

Ah what can I say.... how to sum up our wedding weekend in a few words! It was just perfect! We can’t thank you enough for the hard work, patience and kindness you showed us throughout the whole process and over the weekend. You are all so lovely, approachable and nothing was too much trouble! Every single guest was amazed at the venue, how beautiful and well-kept it was. The ceremony was stunning and the grounds meant we hardly needed to do anything to bring out the estate’s beauty. We are still beaming from ear to ear! Howard and Ed were fantastic throughout the whole weekend and the run up to it, so please thank them for us. You are such a wonderful family and we will be eternally grateful to you for making our wedding one that we will remember forever.

We had the most fantastic day, everything went brilliantly. In the run up to our wedding we can honestly say that Abbie was fantastic, always on the end of the phone or an email answering all questions and giving great advice. I had looked just about everywhere in Cheshire but when I stumbled upon The Orangery at Mount Edgcumbe country park I instantly fell in love. We had 80+ guests travel to Cornwall (most of us had a holiday there before) and then it was the wedding day. We couldn't have askedfor a More picturesque location with gardens and looks out over the Plymouth sound. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were exceptional. The food was incredible and such a reasonable cost, especially as it was fresh local produce and tasted amazing. The band were incredible and all of our guests have fallen in love with this place as much as us. Many are already looking to return for holidays. You will not be disappointed. Forever grateful to have chosen this venue

The location is absolutely wonderful, especially when it goes dark. The food was very good but took a long time to serve. Be warned that it is a fair walk if you are in heels, although the return golf cart direct to the car was excellent. Also the dance area is a concrete base, which is hard on the feet so be warned about your shoes again! The venue was so romantic, truly unique. However, I felt that the organisation could have been better. There were no signs telling the bridal party where to go as we got off the bus from the car park and we waited a while to get the train to go the venue. At the end we could also have done with a sign telling us where to exit from, as it was not at all obvious and some of the guests had to wander around. Just little things but the organisation could so easily have been improved with a little more thought.

The impact of our day on the Pier has created such a stir with all the guests, everyone saying what an amazing venue it was and to that end we are now hoping to organize our works Christmas party on one of your Christmas Part nights in December

Please pass on our thanks to all the staff especially the kitchen staff, for producing such a delicious meal. Everyone enjoyed the day - particularly the bride and groom!
