Here at Maidens Barn we have the space and facilities to cater for your entire wedding day – from your preparation in the morning to a delicious locally sourced breakfast with your guests the following morning. We are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies inside the stunning Oak Barn and of course, for outdoor weddings in the garden underneath the flowering wedding arbour.
You would start your morning in the Granary getting ready with your closest friends & family, we also have a 2nd prep room within the Elm Barn where your partner can get ready. The stunning Oak Barn provides the perfect setting for both intimate weddings as well as larger wedding celebrations, seating up to 200 people if necessary. Chairs can be arranged with 6 on each side of the aisle in a traditional format or in a more relaxed curve if you prefer.
The stunningly simple space within the Oak Barn has a high, beamed roof and picture window offers a magnificent space for wedding ceremonies. The numerous French doors open out onto the courtyard allowing the outside, in! Again, this space can be adapted perfectly for intimate weddings or larger wedding ceremonies – the choice is yours. Guests can be seated facing the picture windows in various configurations (depending on your numbers) and all looking out onto the ancient Oak Tree.
We have 14 bedrooms in the Hayloft Barn which sleeps up to 29 adults, as well the Honeymoon Cottage for the newlyweds.
This is a warm and intimate wedding venue, providing a blank canvas for you to decorate. Rustic arches and terracotta flower pots work well within this space but so do white aisle runners and modern pedestals.
This family-run business is led by a small & dedicated team who are known for going above and beyond for soon-to-be newlyweds. With everyone working hard to ensure that your day is perfect, you can feel at ease and savour every moment with your loved ones. s. Maiden Barn offers various wedding packages that include:

Our wedding day
Absolutely fantastic wedding day, we absolutely loved the venue from the day we viewed it. From start to finish the team were so incredibly helpful. They helped through the entire process and our many emails. We couldn’t fault anything and the entire process was so smooth and effortless. The Food was delicious and we were delighted with how everything went. Big thanks to the entire team who made our day so special and couldn’t reccomend it more.

Made our wedding dreams come to reality!
As soon as we stepped into Maidens we knew we wanted to get married there. They have thought about every little detail that is important for a perfect day!
The layout is perfect for guest experience with the accommodation, dance floor, bar, ceremony areas and outside all within close proximity.
The staff all the way from the coordinators, catering, bar and anything in between all went above in beyond in helping us create the most magical day.
We had so many comments about how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was!

The wedding of our dreams
We knew from our first viewing we wanted to have our special day at Maidens barn. From that day Mercedes and the team have been nothing but excellent, friendly and always on hand to answer questions and help us.
Our wedding went so smoothly, and that is all down to Mercades, Elliot and the rest of the lovely team.
We didn't have to worry about a single thing the team had thought of everything and had everything in hand!
We have received endless comments from our guests about how beautiful the barn looked, how delicious the food was and how kind all the staff are.
We had the wedding of our dreams, we cannot thank everyone at the barn enough!

The most perfect day we could have ever wished for
We got married at Maidens Barn on the 31st August 2024 and we are so glad that we chose this incredible venue to host our wedding. The team at Maidens Barn are nothing short of incredible and helped to make sure our day ran perfectly so that we could truly have the most magical experience possible. The team were so helpful from our very first interaction and following our booking were so responsive with every question that we had - which was quite a few! The day was simply everything that we dreamed of and more and all of our guests could not praise the venue and the staff more highly ... fantastic food, fantastic service (especially on the drink top ups!!) - no task was too much for the team.
Would highly recommend booking your wedding here if you are looking for the perfect countryside barn venue to host your wedding !

The venue is absolutely stunning, with its charming barn setting creating the perfect atmosphere for a rustic yet elegant wedding.

The best day ever!
The staff at Maidens Barn are what makes this gorgeous venue absolutely outstanding. They were so lovely and attentive throughout both the planning process and on the wedding day, nothing ever felt like too much to ask and no question ever silly.
The day was absolutely amazing and we had multiple guests complimenting the stunning venue as well as saying the food and drink on offer was one of the best they had ever seen at a wedding - it felt like we could really make it the day that we wanted because of the various different options we had besides just the normal sit down meals and evening buffets. We just wish we could do the whole day again!!

The absolute best day ever
Just got married at Maiden’s Barn, as soon as we viewed the venue we knew it was perfect for us, it is stunning. The day went smoothly with no hiccups and everyone has been so helpful throughout the process. A special thank you to Sam, Mercedes and Elliott for being there on our special day. The best day ever.

Best day of my life
I think its safe to say that it was one of the best days of our lives. The venue was beautiful, the staff were so lovely, kind and very cooperative and most importantly, my wife loved every minute of it. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone and I cannot thank them enough for making our day so special

Our Wedding - 15.03.24
We had an absolutely amazing wedding at Maidens Barn. The team at the venue were fantastic from start to finish, helping us with all the preparations in the run up to the day and being on hand for absolutely everything during the day itself.
The venue itself was perfect. We were lucky with the weather and able to make use of the outdoor courtyard area for our post ceremony drinks reception and photos, which was ideal.
The ceremony room was the ideal size and looked amazing. The barn for our wedding reception was also spot on, with a great area for the DJ / dance floor, and plenty of space for tables and people to catch up with each other.
The food provided by Host Catering was excellent. The canapés and drinks on hand were very generous, and the afternoon tea option we went for went down really well with our guests.
We stayed in the Honeymoon Cottage, which was a lovely place to stay after the day had finished. It would have been nice for the grooms party to be able to get ready in there, but the room available for them in the venue itself is really good too.
The area for the bridal party to get ready was also really good, with a kitchen, toilet and mirrors / chairs for all bridesmaids.
Some of our guests stayed in the hotel rooms on site. After speaking with them, they feel the check in process could have been smoother, and that a better breakfast could have been provided for the price paid. Rooms cost just shy of £150 and breakfast was self service.
From our perspective though, we can’t fault anything about our wedding itself. We would throughly recommend Maidens Barn to anybody else looking to get married and are so happy with how everything came together. The staff, the location, the atmosphere were excellent.

The best day of our lives at the most amazing venue
We booked maidens barn 2 years ago and the minute we looked around we completely fell in love with it! It is the most amazing venue with the most incredible staff! On our wedding day we were looked after by Natalia, Sam, Mercedes and Elliot and they couldn’t have done more for us they’re a real credit to the team at maidens! All our guests have not stopped talking about what an amazing venue maidens it and how incredible and lovely all the staff were! Thank you so so much for making our day amazing I honestly can’t thank everyone at maidens enough for everything they’ve done for us over the past couple of years! I highly recommend booking your wedding at maidens barn!

The most perfect day we could have ever wished for!
All the staff at Maidens barn are nothing but incredible! From initially coming to view we were greeted by Mercedes who was so helpful and we instantly fell in love with the venue! During the lead up to the day, all the staff were always on hand to answer any questions we had and made us feel so at ease as we approached the day.
We would especially like to give a massive thank you for everything Natalia & Elliot did on the day, they made it run so smoothly. All the guests have said how friendly and helpful they were.
We’ve had nothing but compliments from all our guests on the venue, food and all the staff. The venue itself was absolutely perfect and is so well kept! The accommodation on site was perfect for our guests!
We would 100% recommend this place for anyone looking to get married!

Amazing wedding at Maidens Barn
We had a wonderful February 2024 wedding at Maidens Barn right from the beginning of just looking around the venue, to booking our wedding date and then having our special day - the team at Maiden’s Barn were amazing. The team were attentive to us throughout the day, were at hand to answer any questions and they helped organise things flawlessly. No ask was too great and no question was too silly! The team had a good balance of checking in but giving privacy and space to enjoy the time with our guests. The venue is stunning and we really feel the staff (shout out to Mercedes, Alex, Elliot and Natalia) made our day all that much more special. Food was very good and our guests all particularly enjoyed the canapés. I would recommend Maidens Barn to anyone! We wish we could experience it all over again!

The best day ever
100% reccommend Maidens Barn Wedding Venue, they were just brilliant from our first viewing to the day of the wedding. Mercedes and the team were so responsive to any questions we had, and on the day they were just excellent. The venue, food and staff were all superb and if we were to do the day again we would certainlay pick maidens Maidens Barn Wedding Venue Essex all over again! Amazing Venue & Team
We first saw Maidens Barn at an Open Day in September 2022, and promptly booked our wedding for August 2023 on the day! The venue is absolutely lovely, including a lot of accommodation on-site. Mercedes and Natalia organising everything are superb, any questions or requests were answered very promptly and made us very relaxed in the build up to the big day. On the day itself, the entire team were absolutely incredible, they left very little for the best men or ushers to do! Nothing was too much trouble and meant we had the most perfect day - thank you so much and would recommend Maidens Barn to anyone and everyone! Love from Laura and Mike x

Where do we even start - our wedding was absolutely incredible and we both had the best day. Alex, Mercedes, Natalia, Lucy, Elliot and all the team, we owe you a huge thank you!
