We knew from the moment we saw Merriscourt, and met Emily, that it was the venue we wanted to use to get married in.

The venue itself has everything you could need to make your day special. The grounds are spectacular, we were fortunate that we had sunshine on our wedding day, but the views over the Cotswolds are stunning on even an overcast or rainy day with the outdoor spaces perfect for an outdoors ceremony, reception or even just photos. The barns have everything you need, and the team are incredibly knowledgeable with great suggestions on what to do with each space, but also flexible enough to allow you to customise your wedding and really make it your own. We really appreciated that they gave us access to the venue a few days early to set up, it really took the stress away and just made us feel even more welcome.

The cottages on site are perfect for allowing your close friends and family to be close to you throughout the wedding, every detail was catered for, down to leaving food in the fridge for breakfast so that we did not have to think about bringing it with us. All of our family and friends remarked on how nice the cottages were, and how lovely it was to give them a space to get together before the wedding, as that was the first time many of them had met.

We cannot thank the staff enough for how kind and helpful they were during our wedding day, and afterwards. But we must single out Paige, Eva, and most importantly Emily for all the guidance and support they gave us from the moment we came to see Merriscourt to even after we left. They have been so accommodating and understanding of all the little things that we wanted to incorporate into our wedding to make it special, it would not have been such a special day without them and we cannot thank them enough.

If you want an unforgettable wedding that you’ll treasure for the rest of your life, we cannot recommend Merriscourt enough!

We got married at Merriscourt on 23.10.24 and it was the most amazing day. Such a beautiful venue and we can’t thank Emily and Paige enough! The whole team at Merriscourt were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us on the lead up to the wedding and the day of. The day ran so smoothly and the food was amazing!

We fell in love with Merriscourt the first time we drove down the beautiful drive and into the grounds. For us, the venue was exactly what we were looking for, you can have everything inc. the legal wedding in one place, accommodation for all of our bridal/groomsmen party and closest family on site, not too far from London which is where most of our guests are from and lastly the most amazing views and spectacular looking venue. We booked it on our first wedding venue viewing and couldn’t have been happier with our decision!
We used a lot of Merriscourt’s recommended suppliers who were also amazing! Flowers by Kirsty has been to the venue numerous times so could send through an almost shopping list of what others have had which was so great when you don’t know what you are looking for. They made both rooms look incredible and we would highly recommend having one floral hoop as really bought the white barn to life. Cake by Rachel did the most amazing cake and looked so great. Cotswold Wedding co. did the beautiful drapes which made the ceremony room fit with the colour scheme. Twenty-One events definitely brought the party and had everyone on the dance floor until the bitter end! You do have to use the caters from Merriscourt but they were so great as we had a private dining session and you get to work with the chef on perfecting the menu on the day. The food was excellent and there was not an empty plate at any course! We had the duck starter and crispy pork which went down so so well. All the guests are still talking about the food!
Lastly, Emily and the team were absolutely incredible throughout the whole process. They made everything feel stress free and helped to support us as it can sometimes feel very overwhelming when you are at the start of wedding planning. On the day itself, Emily was so great at reading the room and adapted the timings to the day itself which made the day for us amazing and seamless and perfect! Whenever anything came up she would never come to you with a problem but always came with a solution which meant we could fully relax. We can’t thank you all enough for making it a day we and our guests will forever remember!

We held our winter wedding at Merriscourt, it was absolutely fantastic in every way. There are lots of options to extend your wedding weekend like organising a formal brunch the next day and staying in the fabulous on site accommodation, which we were so so glad we did! No idea that you have for your wedding day seems too much trouble, and the staff worked so hard to make our day perfect and easy! The staff were just outstanding, the food was amazing and overall we would highly recommend. Our guests thought the venue was fabulous and we had so many rave reviews on the food, decor and little touches that Merriscourt helped us sort. It really was the most perfect Cotswolds wedding!

We had an absolutely perfect wedding at Merriscourt, with everything made so easy for us by the incredible team. Nothing was too much trouble and we loved having the venue to ourselves for the whole weekend. It meant we could settle in the day before, set everything up and have a run through of the ceremony which meant that the big day felt so calm and went so smoothly. The whole Merriscourt team were amazing at listening to what we wanted and making it happen - nothing was too much trouble and they brought our vision to life. Special thanks to Eva, Artur and Emily who welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home so we could have our perfect wedding. We had an April wedding so had planned for all weather eventualities but in the end we had glorious sunshine which meant we could hold our drinks reception outside. Everyone commented on how incredible the food was, it was so delicious and perfectly presented. We would recommend Merriscourt to anyone, we wish we could do it all over again!

We honestly can’t thank the team at Merriscourt enough for the most special wedding weekend! Paige and Emily always went above and beyond since the very beginnings of planning our wedding day. They were on hand to help with any questions we had, and we really appreciated the regular catch up meetings and laughs along the way! Such a beautiful venue in a beautiful part of the country. Everything ran so smoothly thanks to the hard work of Emily and her team. So lovely to have everything all in one place.

Wow what a venue. When we first went to look around we were blown away, and then when we had the actual weekend it went far beyond our expectations. Alot of this is down to Eva and Emily who are friendly, relaxed and yet fully on it - making everything feel so smooth. Their communication beforehand and during was really informative and useful - and they were so helpful the day before in helping us to set up.

We loved the fact you can have the venue for the full weekend and not just on the day like some places (e.g. set up in the morning etc.). Instead we got to set up on the Friday and then relax before our big day. The accommodation on site meant both of our close families and wedding party were able to stay over the weekend - and enjoy a full Cotswolds weekend which people loved. It is also such a picturesque venue, which makes it such a beautiful setting to get married - even in spring.

On top of this, the food on the day was so impressive. We had the roast chicken and everyone loved it! I can imagine it must be tough catering for big numbers and making each one tasty (and not dry etc.) but they absolutely smashed it.

We would 1000% recommend having your wedding at Merriscourt and have a million great things to say about it! Thank you Emily and Eva!

We would definitely recommend Merriscourt as a wedding venue! It is an absolutely stunning venue and was perfect for our March wedding, with not knowing what the weather would be like it was ideal for us to have a venue that could all be inside if need be, although we were lucky enough on the day to make use of the courtyard and grounds for our drinks reception and photos!

The onsite accommodation is perfect for hosting the wedding party, it was brilliant to stay the night before with bridesmaids and then all be there ready on site in the morning for hair and makeup to start. We also had brunch the morning after our wedding with people staying over on the wedding night which was a great way to spread the celebrations over more than a day.

Eva and Emily were a delight to work with throughout the whole process and on the wedding day itself. The planning meetings we had were really helpful and both Eva and Emily were always quick to answer emails with any follow up questions we had. On the day Eva was amazing, ensuring everyone remained calm, liaising with all the suppliers, and making sure the day ran smoothly, we couldn't have asked for more.

The food was delicious, we had lots of compliments from guests all throughout the day, and the team catered so well for any allergies/intolerances our guests had so everyone could enjoy the food without worry.

Merriscourt is a truly stunning venue and was perfect for our winter wedding on NYE as they can host everything inside in the three barns with no need to go outside. The lovely accommodation is perfect for hosting the wedding party and means you can spread the celebrations over more than a day.

Eva and Emily were a delight to work with and made planning soooo much easier. The planning meetings we had were so helpful and on the day Eva was amazing, ensuring everyone remained calm, and the day ran without a hitch. It is also worth noting that we found Merriscourt to be much more flexible, e.g. on decoration and corkage etc, than other wedding venues we looked at.

The food was exceptional (we had lots of compliments from guests) and we hired their lovely Bentley which we would highly recommend.

Booking Merriscourt for our wedding was the best decision we could have made! Not only is the venue stunning (we fell in love with the stone barn the moment we saw it!), but the whole experience - from our first visit to the big day itself - exceeded all expectations.

The team there are incredible and supported us every step of the way, with excellent communication and advice from the start. We always felt like we were in very safe hands! A special shout out to Eva who did such a fantastic job managing the day itself. She was such a warm and reassuring person to have around and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The service on the day was immaculate and everything ran like clockwork.

The food was incredible! We went for a sharing menu and had a lot of fun choosing what to include (we were even able to include some tailor-made choices). It was the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding and several of our guests have said the same to me. Everyone went home very well fed!

The accommodation was gorgeous and it was so special to be able to stay there the night before with our family and bridal party.

We really did have the perfect day and cannot recommend Merriscourt enough!
