Milwards House is a family run grade 11 listed wedding venue which you have exclusive use, located near Lewes in East Sussex with close proximity to Brighton Uckfield Hailsham and Eastbourne.

The stunning countryside estate dates back to the 16c. Surrounded by 150 acres of organic grass meadows and woodland, natural gardens, large rose bed, and picturesque lake.

This tranquil and relaxed setting is perfect for country and animal lovers alike with resident horses, sheep, dogs and cats.

Facilities and Capacity

Milwards is licensed in three different areas.

The Milwards Coach House

If you prefer the vintage charm of old buildings the Coach House can accommodate up to 66 guests.

Its volted ceilings and exposed beams make for a rustic barn style setting. The Coach House leads on to the terrace (perfect for confetti photos) with far reaching views of the lake and South Downs.

Lake Side Ceremony

Our large bespoke entwined wooden arch compliments a natural setting for an outside ceremony over looking the picturesque lake a haven for wildlife and our pet ducks.

Marquee Ceremony

Our marquee is licensed for indoor ceremonies with panoramic views of the lake. We would suggest up to 150 guests to seat comfortably for your wedding breakfast.

Gardens

There is plenty of outdoor space for your guests to enjoy at Milwards. With large gardens that wrap around the terrace and avenue of popular trees and other native trees and shrubs. A large rose bed, rose arbour, pretty white bridge and swing seats.
