About
Nestled in the heart of the picturesque village of Hurley, Berkshire, Monks' Barn is a unique medieval-style barn venue that hosts weddings and other special events. The renowned space dates back to when monks used it to store their produce; hence, it was given its name for its deep-rooted history.
Facilities and Capacity
Monks' Barn has both an indoor and outdoor event space to choose from. The barn has grand doors that open out onto the beautiful lawn for the use of the two simultaneously. Different seating arrangements can be made inside The Great Hall, including long tables for 120 guests and round tables for up to 150. It boasts beautiful flagstone flooring, wooden panelling under an a-framed roof, and exposed brick walls for the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern sophistication. Drapery and lighting, including lamps, uplighting, and twinkling fairy lights, can be hung from the ceiling to match the style and theme of the wedding. A separate dance floor space is also available in the adjoining Monks' Bar and Dance Hall, so tables and chairs won't have to be moved after dining. The Monks' Barn Lawn is the perfect place to host entertainment such as music, bars, outdoor games and photo booths.
