Civil ceremonies are held in the candlelit Medieval Great Hall at the very top of the Castle with views across to France.

If you opt for a religious ceremony, this can take place inside the Chapel of St George or at an outside altar at the heart of the Castle

Enjoy drinks with your guests at the de Carteret Garden, the Middle Ward or the Grand Battery and enjoy the views across the bay and fishing village of Gorey.

Wedding receptions can be held in a marquee in the Lower Ward of the Castle or in a choice of impressive rooms inside.

Mont Orgueil Castle, (or Gorey Castle) is an amazing place with over 800 years of history this Castle is a symbol of Jersey’s identity. Its history is a story of the Norman conquest, French invasion and Jersey’s long standing connection to the English crown.

Both civil ceremonies and religious ceremonies can be held on-site, with dedicated spaces for both. A heartfelt civil ceremony can take place by candlelight within the Medieval Great Hall. Located at the very top of the castle, this room boasts magnificent views across the coast that can serve as a wonderful ceremony backdrop. Religious ceremonies can be held within the castle’s chapel or at the outside altar which is located in the heart of the castle. There are a number of beautiful areas that can be utilised for your drinks reception, such as the Grand Battery. This space offers a verdant outdoor platform for up to 150 attendees. While your guests take in the views, you and your beloved can enjoy the ample wedding photography locations here, like the 17th-century formal garden. The Lower Ward features a wedding marquee that can comfortably accommodate up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast and evening reception. This space offers beautiful views of the natural landscape to serve as a spectacular backdrop for your occasion. A get-ready room is also provided on the property, which allows the wedding party to comfortably and conveniently prepare for their event. There is also limited parking available at this venue.
