Moor Hall provides a tranquil setting located in the heart of Berkshire along the River Thames in Maidenhead. Cookham provides a picturesque country village feel with Moor Hall set within 9 acres of beautifully manicured grounds providing an idyllic backdrop for your day and all-important wedding photos.

Facilities and Capacity

The 19th-century Moor Hall is steeped in history, holding a beautiful ceremony room for you and your partner to marry in a truly spectacular room. Entering through the large, original Manor house doors offers a feeling of grandeur and occasion to your wedding day. The Bray Room is full of outstanding Edwardian features, ornately decorated high ceilings, and grand French windows which provide views across the grounds. The space is licensed for civil ceremonies with up to 50 guests. The expansive, manicured lawns of Moor Hall provide a great location for guests to congregate and mingle while enjoying a perfectly chilled glass of Champagne. The Japanese-inspired Koi carp ponds and blossoming hanging baskets provide a delightful photo backdrop. The manicured lawns provide a perfect space for kids to explore safely and enjoy the host of garden games. Following your ceremony, you can choose between an intimate wedding breakfast in the dining suite and a grand feast in the main dining room with up to 120 guests. Alternatively, the grounds offer the perfect place for a marquee to enjoy your wedding celebrations in the summer sunshine.

These comfortable modern rooms have recently been refurbished to include a relaxing rainfall shower and modern I-pod docking stations. The venue's dedicated wedding coordinators will be on hand throughout the preparations to ensure that your day is perfect. They will work closely with you to tailor every detail to your specific requirements and ideas. They offer a bespoke wedding consultation to create the perfect day for you and your partner, allowing you to include everything you could need to help create a truly wonderful wedding day.

Absolute hidden gem! Fantastic staff!

We cannot recommend Moor Hall enough!! We got married at long last in April after two postponements due to COVID and the team were incredibly flexible to make sure we could still have an amazing day. Molly has been fantastic throughout and kept frequent contact with us, provided some great ideas and been so accomodating to us and our young girls and sharing our excitement! The manor house itself is stunning and the grounds are beautiful, it was a picturesque backdrop for photos and a gorgeous area for our outdoor ceremony and for guests to chill out with a drink afterwards. On the day everything was seemless and the technical team were also super lovely and helpful. We felt truly listened to and valued throughout, it was an absolute delight to have our wedding here, every detail was taken into consideration. We can't wait for our follow-up celebration here next year!

Our perfect Wedding

From our first visit to view the venue until checking out of Moor Hall the morning afterwards, the whole team were fantastic. We had to postpone once due to COVID and Molly and the team made the whole process so easy and stress free, we were able to have the day we wanted and the day was just perfect.
The venue is beautiful and all of our guests commented on the amazing buildings and gardens. The wedding breakfast was superb and enjoyed by all and compared to other venues that we initially looked at, was great value for money and so suitable for the wedding we had in mind.
The accommodation for both us and our guests was great, plenty of staff around to cater to our every need and Molly was at hand throughout the day to ensure we had everything we needed and the plans we made were kept on track.
We would both thoroughly recommend Moor Hall to anyone who is planning a wedding and the venue can cater for small and intimate weddings to big and flamboyant!

Really responsive and excellent service

The experience was really good. Molly was very responsive and helpful. I couldn't have asked for more for my civil ceremony. Molly checked that we had everything we required.

Perfect Wedding

From start to eventual finish (COVID got in the way), Moor Hall were helpful, efficient, informative and caring about our wedding, which went from an evening wedding with party to meal for 15 to just a wedding then back to our our original plan which worked so well for us. Venue is beautiful, food exceptional value for a BBQ. Would highly recommend. Even helped out when the Groom had forgotten his trousers, not sure what the guy on reception was wearing!!!

We were truly looked after!

The venue were absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to make our day spectacular!

Covid and restrictions could have made the day feel very stressful, but Daniel (our co-ordinator) made sure that the day ran smoothly, so the planning before the day felt very easy.

The lawn is the perfect place for a perfect day.

The staff were all so friendly and we got so many compliments from our guests on a great choice of venue.

A brilliant slightly hidden gem

Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us on the day and it rained for large parts of the day but the reason I bring this up is that Moor Hall's wet weather plan was fantastic and we all had a fantastic day and night. Lauren (our coordinator) was fantastic and very accommodating in the build up and the day - she really did make it special. The rest of the staff were also fantastic and very friendly. Thank you Lauren and Moor Hall for a wonderful wedding! xxxx

What an amazing time the Wedding Party had

Obviously the weather was great! But what made it special was the attention to detail and organisation that had gone into the planning and then delivery on the day. A huge thanks to Jack and his team who made us so welcome. All the guests commented on what a superb wedding venue Moor Hall is.

Everything was perfect and flowed so smoothly

You are all true professionals, everyone was so attentive, and undertook any requests efficiently. The wedding party were in awe of the venue, service and food, breakfast was plentiful with a vast selection, wonderful.

We can not Thank everyone at Moor hall enough

All the staff throughout the day were brilliant. From the waiting staff to the bar staff and the managers. They were always smiling and were really helpful. A special thanks to Lauren, every idea we put to her was implemented in our day. The only down side was the day went by quickly, we would love to do it all again.

Where can I start...!

We are just totally blown away by Moor Hall and all of the fantastic staff who made our wedding day what it was, perfect from start to finish and more special than we could ever have imagined. It certainly wouldn't have been half the day it was if it wasn't for Moor Hall and all involved.

We don't have words to thank you all and wonderful Moor Hall for giving us the best wedding day possible. Every one of you went out of your way to make this a special day for us and we were so very lucky to have found you. Moor Hall couldn't be faulted or recommended highly enough.

A huge thank you!

Our day was absolutely wonderful thank you. The sun shone and everyone has said what a great day it was in a lovely location. I've got hundreds of photos haha! Aside from the professional ones which of course we haven't seen yet. I would be happy to meet up for a de-brief if you would like. There were only 3 minor 'negatives' amongst the hundreds of positives which you may or may not want to know about for future reference but otherwise everything was super and Jack did a fabulous job. Your support throughout was first class and I would recommend you and Moor Hall to everyone :) I dare say I will be there again soon at some RBWM event but won't be able to look at the place without remembering our special day. We cannot thank you enough Sam.

Please say a big thank you to everyone...

Please say a big thank you to everyone at Moor Hall who was involved with our wedding. Our Best Man said it was the happiest wedding he’d ever been too, and our Shared Best Person said it was the best wedding she’d been to. We were really pleased with the relaxed atmosphere at Moor Hall so that everyone was mixing and enjoying themselves, it was like the best of parties where you don’t have to worry because all your guests are relaxed and happy. Malcolm’s aunt, who is in a similar line of business, was impressed with the way you facilitated the event, and all the staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely to share breakfast the next morning and then go off to church with two of our guests. We really appreciated the help we had beforehand with decorating the room, and thanks for those who took it down and neatly packed it for us at the end of the day. It was great that we didn’t see the card box until the reception and the bridal party didn’t see the gifts until the last minute. Also that our wedding gifts were looked after until we could take them. Carol and Malcolm

The day itself was fantastic

Thank you both so much for all your help in organising our wedding day, you bent over backwards and put up with my endless questions , you couldn't have helped us more and for that we are truly grateful. Daniel thank you for putting up with me and for your time and patience on the Friday afternoon I really did appreciate it and you were brilliant. The day itself was fantastic we had the most amazing day.
