From the moment we viewed Fairbank we knew it was the venue for us! Fairbank really speaks for itself and the flexibility to DIY and choose your own suppliers according to your needs and vision is super. You can’t predict the weather in the Lakes but Fairbank is well prepared having multiple stunning indoor and outdoor spaces all for your exclusive use. In the months running up to the day we attended an open day for booked couples where we could measure up spaces, show family & friends (you could even bring your wedding planner if you had one) and sit in on an extensive Q&A. Our wedding was in May 2024 on a beautifully sunny weekend - we held our wedding in the ceremony barn followed by confetti, drinks, canapés, games and photos on the lawn. Our wedding breakfast and evening party was in the reception barn with guests free to relax in the gardens whilst we snuck off to the tarn for some epic couple’s photos. The farmhouse was the perfect base to relax in the run-up and post event; we booked an extra night so we had more time to spend with family. The rooms are clean and tidy, the kitchen well equipped (the extra fridge was welcome as it safely stored our wedding cake) and the bridal suite is pure luxury! Owner and wedding coordinator extraordinaire Clare is amazing! She really put us at ease, was friendly, down-to-Earth, attentive and worked tirelessly behind the scenes with her team and our chosen suppliers to ensure our day ran smoothly. We had our wedding in July 24 after booking the venue in the April. Kate was fantastic throughout, from initial viewings (I went twice each with a different bridesmaid) through to the morning after. She made sure the day was perfect and even better than what we could have imagined. We had a smaller wedding for during the day (45a 10c) (we didn't hold the ceremony at the venue as this had been booked elsewhere previously) and the room was set up for the breakfast perfectly for us, enclosing part of the room to allow a secondary entrance for us (and a place for the kids to let off some steam during the speeches with the adults needing to worry about them running off as they were still within the room), the room change over was managed perfectly so once we returned form our couples photos, taken on the grounds, the party was already underway. Kate was very communicative and tailored the package to suit our wants, even on the morning of the wedding when my husband decided to add elements to the package. The food was amazing. We opted for the melon, chicken dinner and cheesecake for the wedding breakfast and everyone commented on how nice the food was, the chicken was lovely and juicy and flavoured perfectly. We unfortunately missed the evening buffet but have been told how lovely this was too, we did have pizzas the night before and loved the selection available. We were also so fortunate to be one of the first wedding to utilise the 'Bridal Dressing Room' which was available for us from the evening before through to the morning after (I stayed the night before with both bridesmaids, their families and my MIL) meaning we could ensure all the dresses were wedding day ready with plenty of space for us all to get made up and our hair done and it also gave us newly weds a space to quickly freshen up once arriving back from the ceremony prior to checking into the complimentary bridal suite later in the evening. All the staff were so accommodating and welcoming, especially Kate, and we would say, hand on heart, our day could not have been in better hands and honestly do not think our day could have gone as smoothly or as well anywhere else.

We truly had the wedding weekend of our dreams and it's all thanks to Fran, Jonathan and their incredible staff. We wanted a relaxed, fun filled weekend with family and friends, in a beautiful setting, with great food, wine l, and a lively party to end the night - and they delivered it all perfectly. We kicked things off on Friday evening with an informal gathering. Fran prepared a delightful Mediterranean feast while Jonathan handled the bar and entertainment. It was the perfect warm up, allowing people to get to know each other and reunite before the big day. Our wedding day itself was flawless. Breakfast was a feast, and our guests were looked after with great care. We got married at St Helens in Waddington, and upon returning to the venue, Fran and Jonathan once agatook care of everything seamlessly. We hired our own caterers, who were easily accommodated in The Red Pump kitchen, allowing us to have the food exactly as we wanted. For music, we indulged - a solo artist performed when we arrived from.vhuech, followed by a band and disco in the evening. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how perfect everything was, how well they were taken care of, and how stunning the venue and accommodation were. It truly was an unforgettable weekend!

Our wedding day at The Lion & Swan was perfect from start to finish, we wish we could relive the day all over again. Our wedding co-ordinator Hess communicated with us through the whole process and made it very easy and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and jess was always happy to assist with any requests from choosing our package and tweaking things to accommodate us. We created our own menu with the knowledge and advice from the chef who produced a delicious meal which all of our friends and family enjoyed. The addition of canapés to our package was the perfect add to our drinks reception, we were able to choose from a wide selection and also request our own additions. The squid ink and crab arancini is a must! Jess and the team made sure the day ran smoothly and were happy to help at any point, all the staff are so friendly and we’re happy to make our day special. We chose the terrace for our ceremony and drinks reception, Leone for our wedding breakfast and a section of the lounge area was roped off for our break before the evening guests arrived. Our evening celebration was held in Radley & co which was the perfect setting to get the party started, the stage area was set up for our band Double Lively and then followed by Jorge Martin as DJ organised by the venue. We highly recommend this venue for your wedding if you are looking for a relaxed well organised stress free day this is the prefect place for your celebration.

My husband and I got married at Swanley Meadows this summer and it could not have been more perfect. We were lucky with the weather and had the ceremony outside under the huge beech tree, which as nature lovers was really special. The tipis were gorgeous and Jenny was amazing from start to finish and went above and beyond to help curate the perfect day for us. We went into the day feeling relaxed, knowing everything was taken care of.

We recently had our wedding at Oakmere, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The setting was absolutely perfect, with a beautiful tipi by the pond, surrounded by peaceful countryside. We were so lucky with the weather which made it even better! Kerry, Margot and the team were incredibly helpful and ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Our guests have been full of compliments, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Oakmere provided the perfect backdrop for our special day, and we highly recommend it to anyone.

I can’t put into words how amazing the place is and the lovely people that run it and make your wedding day perfect. Mark & Deb are lovely, helpful and very caring people that went above and beyond to make our wedding so special. They made us feel so welcome and I couldn’t recommend the venue enough. All our guests having been raving about how amazing the place and the people are. I want to do it all over again already. Thanks so much Mark, Deb, Chantelle and all the stables staff 🫶🏻 xxx
