Welcome to Northcote Manor, the perfect stage for an unforgettable wedding celebration. Weddings here at the Manor take precedent and enjoy run of the house. Whatever you choose, the dedicated wedding co-ordinators are there to make it happen.

When you host your Devon wedding at Northcote, the Manor is exclusively yours. Everything you see from the cosy lounges to the picture-perfect gardens and the sixteen bedrooms are yours to enjoy. Your dedicated Wedding Planner will take your dreams and ideas, helping you to make the most of this much-loved country house wedding venue.

Weddings at Northcote Manor offer:

Choice of 3 licensed venues for your civil ceremony (space for up to 90 guests)
Two AA Rosette dining for up to 60 daytime and 180 evening guests
Accommodation for 32 guests in 16 gorgeous bedrooms/suites
Woodlands and views over the River Taw and surrounding valleys
House flowers and elegant ‘Cheltenham’ chairs
Run of the Manor, including lounges and gardens
Dedicated, experienced wedding planner to assist

Civil Ceremonies

If you make Northcote Manor your Devon wedding venue of choice, you can select from three licensed wedding venues. The Sanctuary is a beautiful Victorian-style summerhouse set in the manicured gardens - perfect for outdoor weddings. The Oak Room, on the other hand, offers you the chance to say “I do” in the beautiful bay window of the grand, vintage-chic drawing room. Last but by no means least, The Conservatory is a spacious light-filled venue with sweeping views across the countryside.

The Sanctuary: up to 30 guests for a seated outdoor ceremony (space for more guests if standing)
The Oak Room: up to 60 guests (seated)
The Conservatory: up to 60 guests (seated)

The Manor can comfortably accommodate up to 180 guests for your evening celebrations.

An Unforgettable Occasion

We really wanted to thank you and all the staff at the Northcote Manor for making Tim & Lara’s wedding day such a special and memorable occasion. Throughout the weekend your efforts went above and beyond what we had expected. There was always a positive response to every request however large or small whether it be from us or our guests. Having never had the experience of a civil ceremony at a venue, we were amazed at the intimacy of the Oak Room and the tears that were brought to many an eye. We thought the meal was excellent and served efficiently without any fuss or delay. Please pass our thanks to the chefs in the kitchen, and the waiting staff at the front of house for your hospitality and hard work in making Tim & Lara’s wedding such an unforgettable occasion for us all. Absolutely 1st Class

I write to express my gratitude for the wonderful time I had last weekend whilst staying at Northcote Manor. My friends had a superb time for their wedding and my role as best man was made so much easier by the help of your staff. From the moment of arrival, everything was done in such a welcoming and friendly manner. I would make very special mention to Briony and Mitchell who were absolutely 1st class. They were so professional as nothing phased them in any way, fully calm and collected showing experience in spades at all times. I have a career which gives insight to hospitality at the very highest level and I could see that Northcote Manor works with the self and same attention to detail. From the moment we arrived at Northcote we were completely blown away. Set away from the world, surrounded by outstanding scenery and lovely gardens the hotel is very welcoming. The moment you walk in the door you feel welcomed and at home.
The wedding coordinator Briony is very organised and nothing is too much trouble. She helped with every step of planning the day. They catered for various dietary requirements and even some non dietary ones (amending breakfast menu for morning after to include baked beans and hash browns).
There are so many options available, you can choose your own menu, drinks, who stays in which bedroom, where you have each element of the day. They accommodate all their options and more if you want something in particular. None of this seems daunting as its all easily explained and you are expertly guided.
On the day itself we were left to enjoy the day as Briony knew what was happening and when. She coordinated the whole day without having to interrupt our day once. Allowing us to throughly enjoy the day with our guests.
The food was just amazing, everyone was very complimentary. It was served quickly and with grace. It was so well timed that there was no wait between the end of the speeches and the starter.
The late night bar for residences was a lovely way to unwind after a very fast day. The bar man made sure myself and my husband had some water to go with our late drink which eat very welcome after all the dancing and chatting.
I can't recommend the venue and team at Northcote enough. they're all a huge asset to the natural beauty of this venue.

Big Day

You want your Big Day to be perfect but you have to trust numerous third parties to deliver on promises. We are so glad we placed our trust in Northcote Manor. We knew as soon as we walked in that this is where we wanted our wedding and from that initial chat and tour through the preparations up to and on the day itself, all the team at Northcote were fantastic. I wish i had the space to mention specific people too who really went the extra mile in the service they provided us all. The venue was perfect for us as it effortlessly combines a sense of grandeur with (crucially) comfortable surroundings. Like a very wealthy relative with a great taste has invited you to a really friendly party at their country retreat. Large enough to have a real sense of occasion, small enough to generate real atmosphere and of course scenery and a setting that's hard to beat

5 Star!

What can we say really. You guys made our day the most perfect we could imagine. Everything went so smoothly, the food was absolutely fantastic and everyone said so. Every guest commented on the beauty of your venue & how well it all went. Nothing was too much trouble or strange especially accommodating our ferrety guests :-) Briony & Lisa are a credit to you all organising so much even Briony checking i was alright before i went down to the ceremony, everything was so personal we felt so at home. Centre pieces being used to decorate after the meal too what a stroke of genius. All we can say really is a big THANKYOU SO MUCH for everything. You deserve a 5 star rating! I only wish we could do more to thank you all for being so fabulous. Lots of Love Jordan & John Cummins & the Ferrets! x

Special Day

Dear Lisa,

John and I just wanted to say thank you to you and all the other members of staff at Northcote Manor for making our wedding day on June 20th so special and making all our family and friends feel comfortable and well looked after.
Several of our friends have mentioned how beautiful their rooms were and they really enjoyed the food!

The Perfect Wedding

Dear Briony,
Having now come back down to earth after the excitement of our double wedding last Saturday, I am writing to express our gratitude for everything you have done to make our daughters' day so very special. From the time they decided to hold the wedding at Northcote Manor, right up to the day, you have played a distinctive role in smoothing the path with your invaluable advice and acquiescence to their particular requirements. It has been a delightful experience from start to finish and the memory of the day itself will hold a very special place in our hearts for many reasons, not least the professional and unobtrusive service of all your staff, the superb cuisine and the delightful setting of the reception. Please pass on our grateful thanks to all who participated in the event. Even the weather didn't detract from the beauty of the venue.

Please pass on our special thanks to Richie for the excellent menu. Many guests commented on how delicious the food was.

Great Hotel for a romantic weekend away

I haven't been to a wedding here but I have stayed in this hotel. The food is fantastic and the service is attentive. The rooms are spacious, well equipped with lot's of nice little touches. Perfect for a romantic weekend away so would probably make a great wedding venue.
