Notley Tythe Barn is a stunning 12th-century wedding venue near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, flush with an ancient and spiritual ambience. Set in 500 acres of rolling pastureland, this historic barn found a new lease of life in 1991 under the careful hands of owners Nick and Denise Reynolds. Today the structure remains a magnetic emblem of the rural landscape that surrounds it, instilling every celebration with timeless tradition and elegance.

Facilities and Capacity

Home to soaring beam rafters and exposed stone, Notley Tythe Barn can seat up to 140 guests within its whitewashed hall. Fully licensed for civil ceremonies, there is every opportunity to host your entire wedding day here, letting each stage unfold across the pastoral property. Larger occasions can even extend in to our adjoining Granary Bar, which boasts additional room for 60. The barn is beautifully suited for relaxed mingling, its large doors opening out directly onto the landscaped garden, which overlooks the distant Chiltern Hills. On finer days, you and yours can soak in the sun on the cocktail and canapé lawn while children play on the nearby recreational green. The area can also accommodate a large marquee for up to 250 guests for a truly lavish affair.

The Reynolds can lend support for anything from seating and music to food and drinks. Their on-site chef, Petr, can cook everything from scratch backed by top-of-the-line Rationale ovens. What's more, many of the ingredients are sourced locally, with all the eggs used being free range and their homegrown Notley lamb being a particular house speciality.
