Old Down Estate offers exclusive venue hire for the wedding with a capacity for 120 guests during the day and 200 for an evening soiree. The home is licensed for civil ceremonies in the Orangery, Bernays Room, and Atrium. A sweeping staircase and vaulted glass ceiling create a romantic ambience synonymous with a scene from the epic "Gone With the Wind." The wedding breakfast is hosted in the beautiful Orangery, overlooking the charming Victorian rose garden and the breath-taking panorama beyond. Take advantage of the gorgeous vistas and bring your photographer to the lakeside and woodland areas for incredible wedding photos. The evening reception commences in the Bernays room, with the bar open on a cash and card basis until 12.30 am. If you wish to continue the festivities beyond this, the Cellar Bar is available to hire and has an extended license for a 3.00 am finish. After an evening of dinner and dancing, you and your partner can retire to the wedding suite. The suite is adorned with crystal chandeliers and an eclectic mix of modern and exquisite antique furniture for a perfect end to a perfect day.
