Friendly Place is a beautiful converted warehouse venue. It was built in the 1930s as a spice warehouse and retains numerous attractive original features. Its 7,500 square feet are arranged over four floors, with multiple spaces that can be used to suit the individual event.
The venue is set on its own private road and includes a 1500-square-foot rooftop terrace. It has a wealth of industrial chic backdrops and includes a large kitchen area, a charming conservatory, a dressing room and several large studio spaces. There are many quirky and stylish furniture pieces and art props, including numerous sofas that can be utilised. The building also boasts full-height roller shutter access, toilets on each floor, ample parking and a cosy garden space. The big, open, attractive commercial kitchen can be used for event catering.

A very unique venue......truly a hidden gem!
From the get-go I don't think we could have received a more personable, accommodating and responsive support from venue. Steph, the manager (& our main point of contact) was fabulous and understood our needs from the outset. We were allowed to visit the venue on multiple occasions prior to the event and received invaluable guidance when organising the staff, catering and entertainment (which is a big undertaking for the uninitiated). Also, importantly, we were given the time and scope to create the right set-up on the day of the party. The venue staff were extremely helpful (Rash in particular) and not at all precious, allowing us to re-arrange furniture add decor to create the right setting appropriate for our party. This accommodation carried through into the evening with the provision of friendly, unobtrusive security staff, allowing us to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Last but not least, the venue itself is totally unique. An old Victorian warehouse spread over multiple floors with an eclectic collection of vintage furniture and props, providing a distinctive charm and allowing a creative mind to have a field-day in setting up for a party.
What really sealed it for us was the positive feedback we received from many of our friends after the party. All of them complimented us on the extraordinary venue, many of whom lived locally and didn't know it existed. Truly a hidden gem.

Excellent from start to finish.
Venue very accommodating on access both before and on the day. Provided good list of local contacts for stuff like catering, lighting etc.
Space for dance floor is plentiful.
