OPS Wines is an independently owned wine & tapas bar, located in trendy Bermondsey in South East London.
Located in a railway arch along the well-known Bermondsey Beer Mile, the venue is just a few minutes’ walk from Tower Bridge, and easily accessible via Bermondsey or London Bridge stations, as well as many bus routes.
Renting the whole space gives private access to both indoor areas, with an indoor capacity of up to 150 people:
The ground floor
The ground floor of OPS Wines is a stylish, spacious environment fit for multiple purposes. Finished with exposed Victorian brickwork and boasting a ceiling of 30 feet, the space is light, bright and inviting: the floor-to-ceiling glass frontage introduces an abundance of natural light.
Enter further in - towards the venue’s main bar, custom built and finished with a white granite top - and the space is cosy and inviting, with a comfy sofa area and small tables next to racks of fine wine.
The sky is the limit on how you can use the space: whether it’s a drinks reception with a finger buffet, a seated main meal, or clearing out the tables to create an incredibly atmospheric dance floor with ample space for a DJ
The Mezzanine
The Mezzanine - the upper floor of the wine bar - is a warm and airy space neutrally decorated with pale colours, easily adaptable to all wedding colour palettes. This attractive space boasts a beautiful handmade upcycled wooden floors, and lovely airy views of the space below, out of our all-glass frontage.
The space is large and highly versatile, easily adapted to the needs of your event. With space for up to 100 guests seated, it's perfect for drinks receptions and allowing your guests to socialise, as well as sit down meals or a buffet style service.
Outside space
Our outside space, which is surrounded by large pots filled with natural foliage, has seating for 40 and is the perfect place to cool down during a party! Heaters and canopies can also be arranged, making this space usable all year round.
The menu
OPS Wines offers a range of wines imported directly from Portugal, as well as cocktails and Portuguese beers. The unique food menu offers sharing platters and small plates - many of the dishes are made from ingredients sourced from other local small businesses. Outside catering is also allowed, to give maximum flexibility to your event

As a privately owned venue, Pedro's Wine Bar is proud to offer a highly flexible service, and can customise your wedding day package to suit your individual needs. You will be welcome to hire your own suppliers, such as entertainment, caterers, and photographers, allowing you to customize your day in a way that suits your needs.

A lovely, intimate venue with excellent food and service!
My wife and I loved it so much that we decided to host our wedding by renting out the entire venue. Pedro and his team were professional, polite and made the entire day special for us both and our families. The price was very reasonable, and we were able to cater to a crowd of 120 comfortably with all diets covered and plenty of space to dance, relax and talk to friends and family present.
Try the Gambas, the beef T-bone and the pork tomahawk! They are exceptional!
I would rate this venue 10/10, and am so glad I live nearby so my wife and I can visit once a month, at a minimum!

Perfect Wedding Venue - Highly Recommend
The planning process was thorough, with Pedro on hand to answer any and all questions about logistics so the day could be planned accordingly. From liaising with our florist, Bloom East, to arranging set-up with our DJ, from table arrangements to menu tasting, Pedro worked with clarity, good humour and the utmost professionalism to ensure the day went as planned.
On the day itself, Pedro and the team worked to ensure every element of the wedding worked seamlessly. They were respectful during the ceremony, attentive to all guests, and highly conscientious during service. The food served was uniformly excellent with vegans and vegetarians well-catered for. Starters of cod fritters, burrata and tomato salad, grilled prawns, vegetarian fritters and vegetable tempura were followed by sea bass, roast beef and a mushroom risotto tailored for vegans or vegetarians. The Portuguese wine list at Pedro’s is extensive and innovative, and those served during the reception were perfectly paired with the canapés and meal.
The decor at Pedro’s is industrial in architecture but rustic in furnishing, and this contrast paired brilliantly with the floral arrangement provided by Bloom East. The setting was versatile enough that each stage of the wedding felt unique, but it was the work of the team that enabled this distinction.
We are so grateful for the hard work, respectfulness and diligence of Pedro and the team. From the extensive planning to our communications on the day, we felt that the event was a collaboration. Many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they’d ever attended. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the venue for a wedding or event, and would also fully recommend it for a quieter meal out!

The venue itsself is absolutely stunning. And offers the perfect setting, the food was delicious and served with care to all of our guests requirements, the staff were kind and attentive and we cannot fault them.
You can tell that Perdo’s heart is in his business. as it really shows.

Amazing professionalism beginning to end
So we decided upon Pedro's after visiting a few others. We paid a deposit and had a sparkling wine and canapes arrival with a meal to follow for 75 guests. Pedro accommodated our cake and cheese requirements. We had a breakout area for the kids and we were able to have a ceilidh band in the evening. We ended up hiring the place for the day and had a steampunk theme. It was an amazing day and the staff were completely welcoming in accepting us as a couple and our amazing friends and family.
