Oxnead Hall is an award-winning wedding and events venue situated in the stunning Norfolk countryside, just a few miles southwest of Aylsham. This privately owned and operated Grade II listed estate is a terrestrial paradise comprising an impressive Tudor hall, a large barn, an orangery, a medieval church, two cottages, and 15 acres of stunning gardens and grounds. The grounds have remained virtually unchanged since the 1600s. Boxy edges and mazes of shrubbery give way to gravel paths leading to statement water features, and in the distance, luxuriant plants line the edges of Oxnead Hall’s private lake. Facilities and Capacity
Oxnead Hall hosts religious and civil ceremonies for parties of up to 200 people. St Michael and All Angels is a secluded medieval church surrounded by trees and accessed via the ancient walled gardens. Its stained glass windows, old oak pews, and chandeliers give the place an aspect of quiet majesty. The Orangery is a tranquil oasis, perfect for intimate civil ceremonies of up to 50 people. Once upon a time, the air here was heavy with the sweet scent of fresh fruit. Today, the large windows of this pretty building make the lighting just right for professional-quality photographs. The Great Barn is just a short walk away from the Orangery. This grand and spacious reception area is ideal for a vibrant party. You can enjoy a delicious sit-down dinner and live entertainment and then escape to the adjoining Fountain Room, where you will find comfy sofas and plenty of games to keep your family and friends entertained. Oxnead Hall provides luxurious overnight accommodation for up to 32 guests.

Simply amazing
We initially found Oxnead Hall during lockdown and arranged a virtual viewing with the lovely Katie. Immediately, we knew we'd love to work with her. She is charming, attentive, a good listener, an adviser, and overall a wonderful person who radiates positive energy - exactly what you need. When we eventually came for a physical viewing of the venue, we were tied between Oxnead Hall and another venue. But what sold it to us was Katie - she was the only one we wanted to work with.
From then on, we spent just over a year planning the rest of the wedding. The couples tasting event was a great opportunity to taste the food and see the grounds again and start imagining what the day could be like. It was the first time we met some of the other lovely staff and we were blown away by just how truly amazing they all are.
The thing I like most about these people is that despite the fact that they do several weddings a week, they make you feel like you're the only couple they work with.
The food was also amazing. The guests kept complimenting how hot and fresh everything was, as well as how tasty it was!
Katie looked after us throughout the day and literally took care of everything. She was like my maid of honour! For the night shift, she passed over to Sam, who was equally charming and wonderful.
There was nothing we could fault. If you're thinking about getting married at Oxnead Hall, don't hesitate. You will not regret it.
The most perfect wedding venue ran by an incredible team
The venue itself is absolutely stunning, meticulously maintained and it was clear that every detail was managed with precision. The day ran like a military operation, but in the best possible way. Everything flowed seamlessly, and it felt effortless on our end, even though we knew a lot was happening behind the scenes. The staff were extraordinary— so many guests commented on how amazing and attentive they were. They were always one step ahead, ensuring that everything was perfect without us even noticing.
The food was insane—every dish was a masterpiece, and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. The atmosphere was magical, and the vibes throughout the day were immaculate. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing.
