Nicky and the Pangdean staff were outstanding. They had a solution for every question we could think of and made the day stress free. They went above and beyond to make the day perfect, we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. The venue is an ideal backdrop and we are still receiving compliments from our guests about the food. I cannot recommend this venue enough. The barn is absolutely stunning. We used the barn for our ceremony, wedding breakfast and dance party after and it looked beautiful for each occasion. The staff were flawless from start to finish. There was nothing that was too much trouble and they put us at ease throughout the entire process. All of our guests complimented how friendly and wonderful the staff were throughout the whole day. The food was delicious from the tasty canapés, to the yummy main meal and dessert to the best pizza we have ever had! We had the most incredible day of our lives and would give anything to do it again! Trust us when we say…visit and book! You won’t regret it!

We are beyond grateful for everything Pangdean did for us on our special day. The attentiveness of the staff was truly commendable, and we received numerous compliments from our guests about their exceptional service. From accommodating our various requests, such as using the 2nd field and even going the extra mile to prepare the cricket match area, to taking us to the fields for sunset photos, cooking a delicious Indian meal that received high praise, crafting amazing Espresso martinis, and seamlessly coordinating our Saxophonist, Violinist, and friend's performance - the list of their contributions goes on!

Pangdean Wedding, 7th July 2024

We had our wedding for 120 people, including 27 children at Pangdean and I cannot recommend them enough. I had very high expectations from the attentive and thoughtful conversations we had about how we could entertain the kids and other thoughtful little details we could do, and they surpassed every single one of them. If you want somewhere relaxed where all your guests feel looked after and thought about this place is spot on. Particularly if you are inviting children - they said they were 'yes people' and I was blown away by how accommodating they were. A main draw for us was how much was included as standard, and we really weren't let down - 90% of the decorations were included, a load of garden games, including go karts and mini ride-on slide, they threw in a visit from a resident pony for the children and when I said i was ordering a photo booth, a frame and a hamper for hats appeared. We wouldnt have been able to get anywhere close to those 'little extras' if we did it ourselves and they really made the wedding standout and everyone had a lot of fun. Coming here, was such a great decision

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I can't begin to describe how incredible Nicky, Bryony and the whole Pangdean team were. It's a gorgeous location and we were very lucky with the weather, but it's the service they provided that made the wedding day the joy it was. Throughout the whole planning process they were responsive, friendly, flexible and willing to do whatever it took to make the day what they wanted. They clearly know exactly what they're doing thanks to years of experience, but it never feels like something churned out of a wedding factory. Even our guests commented on how lovely they all were. And the food was PHENOMENAL. I keep dreaming of eating our wedding meal again. I'm so glad that we're moving down to Brighton soon so we can still pop in for Taste of Pangdean evenings

As wedding photographers, we have visited many venues, but Pangdean Old Barn is our all-time favourite. The venue is located in Pyecombe, East Sussex, and is situated in the South Downs National Park. This has proved a stunning venue for our photography and film with the beautiful backdrops.

The staff at Pangdean Old Barn are known for their outstanding service and beautiful food. Every single member of staff does their job with a massive smile on their face, and they are so welcoming and helpful. We would like to give a special shoutout to Nikky, the manager, and Bryony, the wedding coordinator. They both go above and beyond to make sure we as suppliers are comfortable during our work day so this does not go unnoticed.

Pangdean Old Barn is in a beautiful setting and the venue is stunning. But there are lots of stunning venues. What really made it for us was the people that run the venue.

Every couple is different and so is their wedding. We were so happy to choose a venue with a hands on team and amazing catering who were happy to bring our DIY festival style wedding to life.

The team were never too busy in the run up to our wedding. They listened to our dreams and really made them into a reality.

On the day they thought of everything, including a snack basket for my hungry toddler during the ceremony, sun cream for the unexpectedly hottest day of spring, playlists played at the right time, puffing my dress before I walked down the isle, hanging the frames in the blossom filled trees. Mowing a heart shaped made from blossom in the lawn. Adjusting the schedule when things ran over, and Running my best people home at the end of the night.

Our only biggest regret is that we won’t ever be able to have another wedding there… but we have plans to definitely be back for our 10 year anniversary!

We just wanted to say how AMAZING our wedding day was. We always knew we had picked a special venue, that was miles ahead of everywhere else. However, we couldn’t have imagined just how wonderful the day would turn out to be.

Our guests haven’t stopped raving about the day, Jamie gets a particular mention every time! The food was outstanding and there was so much of it! All of our guests have also praised the food, and there are a few ex chefs amongst them! Not only was the food amazing, the waiting staff even offered top ups of sauce etc, the sticky toffee sauce was out of this world! Even our Photographer was wowed by her meal - and she visits a lot of venues!

During the drinks reception, the canapés were presented brilliantly and the quality and quantity was excellent. Our guests commented on how attentive all of the staff were, one noted that she had barely a mouthful of Prosecco before being offered a top up - this is the kind of service we like!! Another mentioned that they couldn’t believe how many canapés they actually got to eat, as they had been to many weddings where they’d only got one or two of each, at Pangdean, three at a time was encouraged… and irresistible!

Hannah would like to give a particular mention to Crissia because she made me feel at ease as soon as she met me from the car and reassured me the barn was looking beautiful (although there wasn’t a doubt in my mind!). Jamie put Joe at ease just as instantly and ensured he knew what to do before the ceremony etc. Every single member of staff did their job with a massive smile on their face, and were so welcoming and helpful.

Despite visiting Pangdean on many occasions whilst planning, I was still blown away by how absolutely jaw dropping and stunning it was! Your team are absolutely brilliant at venue styling and it turned out to be everything I imagined - and more!

Literally everything is thought of and executed to perfection at Pangdean, we couldn’t have imagined a day running more smoothly, or our guests being any more impressed…. with everything!!

Our only regret is that we might not be able to return unless we get invited to a wedding at Pangdean - we will be looking out for one of your supper club evenings as we are desperate to return and take in all of the beauty Pangdean offers!

Finally, we’d like to mention Gill and Nicky for their help in all of the planning of our wedding, everything we asked for was accomodated and even when we changed the date three times due to Covid, they couldn’t have been more helpful or understanding.

Everyone who works at Pangdean is warm hearted and does everything they can to ensure perfection, it is truly the most wonderful venue.

Choosing Pangdean as our venue was the best decision we made among so many we had to make for our wedding.

At a time of so much uncertainty due to Covid 19, we needed people we could trust, but we got so much more than that: attention, care, dedication, professionalism and engagement.

We got a beautiful venue (we were lucky with the weather so got married in the garden) and amazing food but it was the staff that really made it special. They were all so calm and reassuring and we could see that they were genuinely sharing our excitement!

Ayisha, who was waiting, was really looking after me (the bride) - making sure I'd eaten enough, following me around in the garden to bring my favourite starters!

Gill and Krizya were incredibly helpful and professional, always available to answer our questions (even the silliest ones!) and were super flexible.

And last but definitely not least, big thanks to Jamie, who looked after logistics on the day. What a pro. My family couldn't come from Brazil because of Covid19 and so he helped us set up a live stream for them to watch proceedings over a YouTube channel. He set up the cameras and sound for the ceremony outside, and then later in the barn. He was also kind enough to follow us around with the camera during the drinks reception, so that those watching remotely could feel like they were a part of it. Finally he was great with the kids, entertaining them at their tables in the barn, and helping our seven-year-old master of ceremonies with the announcement of speeches!

Pangdean is the most beautiful wedding venue! We had so many compliments from our guests about the venue, staff and food. Being able to get married outside in the garden, in such a beautiful location, made our day extra special. It was a gorgeous day and so having the drinks reception in the garden with lawn games was perfect. The barn is beautifully lit with fairy lights which was one of the things that we loved when we first walked into the barn and instantly I knew it was our wedding venue. The food was fantastic and I couldn’t fault it at all! The thing I will remember the most about our wedding day was the staff. I had always heard great things about Pangdean but the staff were incredible and honestly go above and beyond to make you feel special on the day. Thank you so much to Pangdean - the venue will always be a special place to my husband and I!

We got married at Pangdean a couple of months ago, and couldn't have wished for a more perfect day! The team were great at helping us organise everything in the lead up to the wedding (despite only having 6 months) - we didn't need a wedding planner. The venue had lots of space both outdoors and indoors for all the guests and the food was divine! Pangdean were amazing at accommodating any of our requirements, nothing was too big an ask and they were super flexible with our chosen setup/timings for the day. Some of our close family members have food allergies and everyone at pangdean went out of their way to accommodate everything. Many of the guests also commented on how well organised, friendly and helpful the staff were on the day. We booked Pangdean Barn for our wedding in summer 2024 and the staff were outstanding.

The main reasons we booked Pangdean were the food options and the versatility of the space at the venue.

I have food allergies and so it was important to us to find a venue where we could have a menu that was safe from cross-contamination and inclusive, rather than the Bride having to have a different meal option to everyone else. Pangdean does not have a set menu, only recommended options, and Nikki and the Chef went out of their way to create a menu that suited us.

We loved that the barn is a real barn and decorated with fairy lights in the roof. The garden is large and well maintained and was ideal for our welcome drinks. There were also plenty of outdoor and indoor areas for every part of our wedding.

We were able to visit on multiple occasions after booking to look around again and plan how we wanted our wedding venue to look, and we were greeted as friends.

We had planned a lot of personal decorations, from bunting to photo displays, but nothing was too much trouble for them. The Groom baked the wedding cake and they even agreed to stack the tiers for us on the day. We had also packed a lot into our schedule, from special dances and sparklers, and they were happy to advise us on everything to make it all work. Pangdean set-up all our decorations the morning of the wedding and when we turned up everything was perfect.

On arrival we were greeted with champagne and treated like VIPs the whole day. Even when they couldn’t access our playlist before we arrived (not their fault and quickly resolved) we didn’t notice because they had compiled a new playlist based on their knowledge of what we liked, despite our preferences not being ‘mainstream’ chart music.

We loved the unique experience of being driven up to a local field for sunset photos with our photographer. We also really valued having a dedicated and locked Bride’s toilet for getting changed and freshening up.

A bonus of booking Pangdean meant we didn’t need to purchase additional suppliers for the food, outdoor games or decorations (e.g. some venues require you to pay for additional drapes). They had different options for small items such as easels and card boxes too so that you can personalise your event without having to buy extra items. Our only additional suppliers were a florist (although they do offer this as an additional service), our photographer and a dance floor (not usually required but we wanted one for line dancing!). You won’t need a Wedding Planner either - they are experts in weddings!
