There is nothing ordinary about Penton Park; it’s a house full of stories, full of light, life, and magic

Its story began in the late 18th century, but it was Sir William Cubitt, who devoted himself to enhancing both the house and grounds in the 19th century, that helped create the Penton of today. From a convalescent house in WWII for American soldiers to the romantic rebellion of the students of St. Benedict’s Convent school, who, according to legend, used a hidden tunnel underneath Penton to sneak out and meet potential suitors.

Penton isn’t just a venue, it isn’t just a glorious Georgian Manor, it’s the first step on your new journey into married life, waiting patiently in the Hampshire countryside to add its magic to your own story.

Penton is not a hotel; its timeless charm is not to be rushed and neither will you be.

The time leading up to the event can feel incredibly frantic and we will always offer you ample time you need to set up with your friends and family ensuring your day everything you dreamed of. Our dedicated team will be on hand at every stage with our head of Events, Billy meticulously overseeing every detail so you can relax and savour those fleeting moments.

We let you tailor the wedding you want, from the timescales and the food to the type, location, and size of the ceremony. Our hire fee includes access to the house the day before your wedding, should you need to set anything up and we won’t chase you out the morning after. You, and any guests you have staying at the house, can enjoy a leisurely breakfast whilst you chat through the previous days festivities and pack up any items you need to take home.

At Penton we only ever do one wedding per weekend, whilst most couples choose to book for just the one night, longer hire periods can be arranged.
