Pratis Barns is a rustic wedding venue located near the town of Leven in Fife, Scotland. Nestled on 30 acres of lush grounds, this 18th-century cattle court has been carefully renovated to host a variety of life-changing events. The ceremony barn, walled garden, and on-site accommodations are some of the many details they offer to give couples a one-of-a-kind wedding weekend.
Facilities and Capacity
Ideal for couples seeking a tranquil place to exchange their vows away from the fast-paced city life, Pratis Barns acts as a blank canvas to accommodate a variety of event themes. Multiple six-bay barns are present in the heart of the venue, each with a versatile floor plan to support various seating arrangements. You and your guests will be surrounded by the original stone walls, large wooden doors, and open windows for plenty of natural light. Also present is a romantic ceremony barn, making for an easy transition from ceremony to reception. If you prefer to say your vows under the sun, the grounds feature open fields surrounded by picturesque garden walls to give you a memorable backdrop. In addition, up to 15 guests can enjoy an overnight stay in the Pratis House, which features cosy bedrooms, a full kitchen and dining rooms, and an open lounge area. Car parking is available onsite, with wheelchair accessibility to ensure everyone arrives at the venue with ease.

Amazing barn style venue in Fife
We recently got married at Pratis Barns and I can't praise the staff & the venue enough! Our co-oridnator Louise was an absolute dream to work with in planning but also during the day - she kept us both calm, kept the day running smoothly and was such a vibe to be around! The food was also amazing - we had so many compliments from our guests saying that it was the best food they have had at a wedding! Huge thanks to Patrick & the team! The staff working on the day were all so lovely too. The venue itself is just incredible, a really good option for a barn style wedding without too much DIY involved - there is even a prop room to help you decorate! We stayed onsite at Pratis House for two nights and it is exceptional! You can tell that lots of time, effort and attention to detail has gone into the house and the venue. Thanks again to all the staff - we had the most incredible wedding at Pratis Barns and can't thank you enough for making it the perfect day! xx

Our Perfect Pratis Wedding
We had the most amazing wedding at Pratis Barns. Louise was unbelievable all day as our coordinator. She suited us so well as a couple and even got involved in the laughter with our friends. It felt like she was a guest and I wouldn’t have had it any other way! The food was incredible, guests are still raving about it! Pratis House just made the weekend for us and we truly felt like the venue was ours for that full weekend. I couldn’t recommend Pratis and the team enough. It truly was the most wonderful day all thanks to them.

Happy Pratis Barns Couple
We had an amazing wedding at Pratis Barns on 4th May 2024. Prior to the wedding the planning was smooth and it was easy to get in contact with the venue for any questions. The tasting day in January was such a fun day with our parents and we got to try some of the menu choices available for 2024 weddings. On our wedding weekend we opted to stay Friday - Monday so it was a full weekend of fun for us. Louise went above and beyond over the wedding weekend. The wedding day ran smoothly and everyone complimented the venue and food. We opted to do a Pizza and ice cream event in the main venue on the Sunday which was extremely fun also. It was such a great experience and I would recommend Pratis Barns to any engaged couples.

Perfect venue
When we picked Pratis it was a building site but we could still tell how amazing it would be and it exceeded all our expectations. They have their own on site catering with Patrick and his team so it takes away the stress of trying to find a caterer that knows the venue. The food is incredible and all our guests with allergies were well taken care of. There’s enough do it yourself to make it your own but the team are there to help you bring it to life. The wonder room is full of amazing props and decorations which means you don’t have to go around sourcing decorations yourself.
Nicola led the day for us and preempted everything - always ready to answer questions, had canapés kept to the side for us and herded our guests in the correct direction!
Pratis house was beautiful and really allowed us to relax the night before the wedding.

The Dream Wedding Venue
We had our wedding on 08.08.2024 at Pratis Barns.
We booked our wedding over 4 years ago and we fell in love with Pratis Barns instantly as it has everything you could want and more for a barn venue.
From day 1, Nicola and Patrick have been amazing and super helpful during the wedding planning. Louise was our wedding coordinator and what an absolute angel she is! From answering all my emails and being in constant communication with us to being an absolute star on the wedding day and making it run so smoothly, we have been so lucky!
Having Pratis House to start off your wedding in is the absolute dream! Our wedding party didn't want to leave! The house was great for us all to have a chilled evening the night before then perfect for the madness of getting prepped the day of.
Pratis Barns is simply stunning! Having free reign to decorate the place for your wedding day is amazing and the venue is that stunning that you really don't need to do too much to have it looking amazing! The Pratis team are super helpful during the set up day and give such great advice!
The day itself was our dream wedding day! Everything ran so smoothly and it's all down to Louise and the great team! Patrick is an absolute star at what he does and all our guests have told us numerous times just how great his food was - from the canapés, to dinner to the evening pizza from the pizza truck - it was outstanding.

Pratis Rocks!
What can I say, our wedding was the best day ever! Nicola, Patrick and team are unbelievable! They made the whole process, from start to finish, so easy and smooth. After a huge family tragedy, a couple of months before our wedding, we felt so supported by Nicola and Patrick even though we were terrified it would affect our big day. Every one of our guests commented on how well executed the day was, how fantastic the food was and how beautiful the venue is.
We couldn’t have done it without the Pratis team, they made sure everything was just perfect! 100/10 recommend!

Perfect Wedding Venue
Louise is amazing in her role as wedding co ordinator, Louise is very passionate and committed to making your wedding the best day, Louise balances giving her own guidance and suggestions with respecting your own decisions and choices and allows you to make your day unique to you. Our guests commented on how the team were all so approachable, very attentive and responsive throughout the day. The food and service was amazing, the day just flowed and this was due to the expertise and professionalism of Louise and her team.

Best wedding venue ever!
I cannot thank the staff at Pratis enough, particularly Louise, Nicola, Patrick & Callum. Their professionalism and expertise is impeccable. They are so friendly, flexible and accommodating and I cannot recommend them enough!
The food is outstanding and so many of our guests said its been the best food they've ever had at a wedding!!

The best wedding venue!!!!
I cannot recommend Pratis Barns enough.. Our wedding was an absolute dream, more than we could have ever imagined! The venue is just incredible! Patrick & Callum, you nailed our menu!! We were honestly blown away by the food! Everyone commented on it, it was absolutely delicious! We've had so many people say the evening food was the best buffet they have ever tasted! The day ran so smoothy, everything we had asked for was delivered & we cannot thank you enough. Louise our coordinator was just a complete superstar throughout!!! The whole team at Pratis are all so friendly & helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble, genuinely couldn't have wished for anything else!! Pratis house was the icing on the cake, what an amazing place!! We will honestly never get over our wedding day! Patrick & Nicola what a place you have created! Just wow!!

I had my wedding at Pratis in June 2024
This was honestly the best day of my life the scenery, the venue, staff, food everything was absolutely perfect!! Planning with pratis was the easiest process and the wonder room was great to decorate, plenty space and areas for everyone. My guests are still talking about the wedding with most saying it was the best one they’ve been too and it was all thanks to pratis. We also hired pratis house and it made the whole weekend so much better having everything I needed two seconds from the venue was great especially with having a baby and dog. I can’t fault pratis at all the day was perfect, ran smoothly and it was exactly what I wanted.

Beautiful venue run by an amazing team
We couldn’t have asked for a better day at Pratis for our wedding. The venue is stunning with such variety of different photo opportunities. The team are all so welcoming and helpful throughout the planning process and setting up for the day. Louise did a fantastic job coordinating on the day, giving amazing guidance, advice and just in general being the calm and bubbly person you need through it all. Our day ran smoothly and everyone loved the food thanks to Patrick and his team.

Family run with excellent communication
We couldn't recommend Pratis Barns more highly. They were very quick to answer all our questions and kept us in the loop with what we had to do and when. They gave us guidance on all things wedding and the food was incredible.
