So pleased to have chosen this incredible venue!
The team at Grand Villa Heights have been absolutely amazing. From the early days of us planning our wedding they have been super responsive, helpful and have gone the extra mile in making our day special, right through to executing everything perfectly on the day. We couldn’t have wished for a smoother operation! Their experience shone in that nothing was too much for them and everything was carried out with ease, which meant we could enjoy our day without any stress. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The venue itself is absolutely stunning - it has such a magical feel you don’t find anywhere else and the views across the rolling hills and north sea are absolutely beautiful. There is lots of space within the hotel and on it’s grounds and it has a very relaxed feel, while still being special of course. It’s perfect for any wedding large or small and we highly recommend it. We would have our wedding day all over again if we could!

Outdoor Sea View Weddind Day
From start to finish the staff and the hotel were wonderful. Gemma originally took us around the venue to show us how beautiful the wedding areas were. Ben then took over the wedding planning, and managed to organise the perfect day for us which was then executed perfectly by John and all of the staff on the day. You can tell everyone who works at the hotel loves their jobs, as they will go above and beyond to make your stay just that little bit more memorable.
On the day, we had breakfast brought to the bridal suite (lodge), followed by some of the pre wedding brunch bites. The weather turned sunny the hour before the wedding, we couldn’t believe our luck! What great views to look out onto whilst you say your “I do’s”
Post wedding drinks reception was orchestrated so well with all our guests saying how amazing the food was.
The wedding breakfast was served very quickly, my grandma (97) said everything was “very hot and tasty”. The other guests said how lovely the beef was and the vegetable wellington was delicious and very different from the usual risotto vegetarian option. I loved the fact we had HUGE Yorkshire puddings and silverskins in the gravy, yum!
The transition into day and evening shift was seamless as we held our evening reception in the “chapel”. This was decked out ready for the guests after the meal. Guests couldn’t the dance floor, chat at tables or relax in the private bar. Some guests with children even started to play big jenga in another room of the hotel away from the noise.
We had a perfect day and have absolutely no regrets thanks to the venue and all its wonderful staff!
We will hopefully revisit on our anniversary next year!

Superb and very professional.
A wonderful venue that all our guests thoroughly enjoyed. Some have even been back since.
One guest had a two month old, their room wasn't due to be ready until after our wedding ceremony but the venue got their room ready before so that they could enjoy the day with a base for their little one.
We were made to feel like royalty throughout the entire day. They are magnificent.

Our day was so dreamy and perfect at Raven Hall Hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, whilst being discreet throughout the day’s events. Guests commented on the high quality of food, for both the three course meal and the evening buffet. Not to mention the views that money just can’t buy!

We can't recommend Raven Hall enough - what a venue! The views speak for themselves but the venue itself but the food and the service were exceptional! We got married in June 2023 Gemma, Amy and Ben in the run up to the wedding were amazing very professional and even managed to order in some special beer for our wedding which was really important to us. John and the team looked after us on the day. We had a disabled guest and John inpartcular went above and beyond to ensure they were looked after when it came the ceremony, meal and photos. The team are well versed in weddings and it showed but we still felt like the experience was personalised to us, for us it was the little touches - it took a lot of stress out of the day.
I woudn't have any hesitation booking a wedding or special event with them, all our guests said how amazing the venue was and the food was superb! Can't wait to go back and stay again.

Exceeded all Expectations
From our very first interaction, Raven Hall’s staff were incredible. Communication was always clear and I never had to worry that I would be left hanging and not get a response. Gemma lead the way in the early stages. She was so knowledgable about the whole process and made us feel very at home and comfortable. She tirelessly answered all emails and pointed me in the right direction when the answer to my question was in someone else’s domain. Ben helped us to finalise our plans and chatted us through the 12 week pre-wedding appointment. He was always happy to answer my questions via phone call or email and ensured we had everything we needed on the morning of the wedding before handing us across to John who was our Master of Ceremonies for the day. John was lovely, kind and organised. I never felt like we were rushed but we were guided through the day by his leadership and I never got to thank him on the day but I really appreciated his calm and cheerful demeanour. Amy helped to finalise all the financial details including our final bill and paying for the extra night of our room. We only spoke via email but her emails were always clear and timely. Alin was the only other staff member we got the name of and he set up our beautiful banquet style tables the night before our big day. He was very friendly, listened to all our instructions and even decorated our tables with the home made decorations we had brought with us which took a huge weight off my mind so a big thank you to Alin. All staff members who took care of us on our wedding day were dedicated, professional and polite. The staff member who served us breakfast even rearranged the dining room the morning after our wedding so that our guests could sit together which was lovely and much appreciated! Unfortunately I didn’t catch his name. The whole process felt positive and calm which is exactly what we had wanted. I was also very impressed with how dedicated the catering staff were as we had many dietary requirements and all requirements were catered for including specific vegan and lactose free plates for guests at the evening buffet. They loved that little personal touch. There is so much I could say about this venue to extol its virtues but what stood out to me most was the staff and how dedicated they were to making our experience memorable.

Raving review for Raven Hall
Me and my Husband were married here on 19th November 2022 and had the most magical day. The hotel sits upon a clifftop and honestly gives you the most stunning backdrop for wedding photos even in November!
For the wedding itself we had use of a separate ceremony room (the Great Hall) which had a barn type feel and came with complimentary fairy lights and garlands which enhanced the room beautifully. Our wedding breakfast was held in George III room and comfortably fit our 80 guests. The food quality was exceptional and they were able to cater to meat eaters, vegan, vegetarian and also for my young nephew who has coeliac disease. For the evening do we went back into the Great Hall and danced the night away with our chosen DJ. Within the Great Hall there is a private bar for wedding guest use only.
The communication I had with the venue was mainly via email and some face to face visits, the staff were very professional, friendly and quick to respond to any queries.
The lodge rooms in which we stayed were spectacular with stunning views and a great place for bridal/grooms party to get ready.
Please note that the hotel allows exclusive use for one wedding only per day however there may be pre-booked non wedding guests staying there. For example we booked our Saturday November 2022 wedding in May 2022 and the hotel already had 14 rooms taken by non-wedding guests.
Final note - if I was to do it all over again I would still choose this venue!!

The best day
We could not have asked for a more perfect day. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for any of them, especially Ben and John who went out of their way to make sure that everything was how we wanted it to be. We could not have asked for a more amazing day, I had my heart set on an outdoor ceremony and we got what I wanted. The setting is absolutely out of this world and the weather was stunning.
The only negative is that our special day went too quickly.

Incredible wedding venue
Craig and I want to say a HUGE thank you to all at Raven Hall Hotel for making our wedding day so special (03.06.22).
The venue itself is absolutely out of this world with the most breath taking views! The perfect backdrop for photographs.
All the staff are polite, friendly and hard working. They each ensured our wedding day was stress free and ran smoothly.
The food was out of this world, both in the main restaurant and on the day of our wedding!
Overall, we had the most magical day and I cannot thank all at Raven Hall enough, but a special mention to Ben, Gemma and Amy who from the point of enquiry, to booking and to overseeing the day, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We had a day to remember and can’t wait to come back each year to celebrate our anniversary’s!

Truly the best day of my life!
We finally had our wedding at the beautiful Raven Hall Hotel, after being engaged for almost 19 years! The venue was an absolute no-brainer: we had moved to Scarborough a few years before from the Midlands, and realised how beautiful Raven Hall was from the first time we visited. With the amazing view of Robin Hood’s Bay, overlooked by the green rolling hills leading to the top of the cliffs, where the horizon greets the sun, we thought it was an idyllic venue to get married. Not to mention the grounds, where you can have so many different photo backgrounds and space for yourselves and guests to get some fresh air. The venue rooms themselves are full of character and beautiful decor that add to the mood. From meeting Gemma for the very first time, right through to the bookings with Amy, and then Ben managing the finalisations and the flow of the day, we were in the right hands. It was clear that the staff were very experienced, friendly and professional. They put us at ease and responded to any queries in a timely and informative manner. The staff on the day also made it very special for us, going out of there way to ensure everything was perfect, and even keeping all of our belongings together and safe for us to take home the following day. Just before I went to get married, I had some photographs taken on the stairwell with my father and of my dress. One of the cleaners was about to pass and when she looked up at me she had wore a huge smile and even shed a few tears of joy. This made me feel very beautiful and I just wanted to hug her. When we ordered drinks at the bar, the staff would have time to chat, everyone seemed really happy. It just gave the day an extra buzz. Everything was all ready and waiting at each part of the day, drinks and the meal were served very elegantly. The food was delicious, even though unfortunately I didn’t get to finish all of mine as my adrenalin was pumping through me and I felt the need to go around and speak with our guests. The food was divine and tasted as such, and we have also received many comments from our guests stating as such. The venue were also extremely helpful in allowing us to decorate the hall ourselves and also our supplier on the previous evening. As I am a control freak, this stabilised my nerves as I knew everything was in place ready for the big day. All of this along with competitive prices, great, large, clean rooms overlooking the sea was more than enough to say yes to. It was our dream day, and we can’t wait to go back for our anniversary! Thank you to everyone at Raven Hall. It meant so much to us. Xx

The most magical day
Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. Raven Hall was the most amazing venue for our day and the photos truly capture how beautiful the setting is, our guests wondered why we were getting married so far from home...until they saw the view. Everyone commented on how wonderful the place is, both in the stunning views and the very attentative staff. The team at Raven Hall were absolutely amazing right from our first visit, to the finishing touches on the morning of the wedding, nothing was too much to ask and the team put us at ease with their knowledge and advice on timings of the day and confidence that everything would be perfect. The team of staff who helped us on the day really went the extra mile, with a particular shout out to Ben who made sure everything was running smoothly and was always available to help.

Perfect from first visit to end of our wedding day.
Driving up to Raven Hall just blew us away. The view and setting is unreal. The venue is gorgeous and you truly have to see it to appreciate it. From the minute we drove down the road to see the gorgeous venue we knew it was the right place for us. The staff especially Gemma and Amy have been unbelievable the whole time no matter how much I emailed and asked questions they always had time to help. All the staff where lovely on the day and made it a perfect wedding. I couldn't imagine a better place for our wedding. There is honestly just no words to describe the beauty of the venue and the genuine care of the staff. Thank you everyone at Raven Hall for making it a perfect day.
