About
Dating back to 1872, Reading Town Hall offers couples an enchanting wedding venue for their celebration in Berkshire. Designed by the architect Alfred Waterhouse, this stunning Grade II-listed building is brimming with Victorian and Gothic charm.
Facilities and Capacity
The Town Hall is the home of the Reading Register Office and offers you a professional and official legal ceremony in one of its five approved ceremony rooms. The Register Office can accommodate you and two witnesses, or you can opt for the official Ceremony Room for 47 loved ones. The venue has three alternative ceremony spaces: The Waterhouse Chamber, The Victoria Hall, and The Grand Concert Hall, which can seat up to 700 guests. Adorned with grand décor, gorgeous chandeliers, and intricate stained glass windows, each room makes a romantic setting for your 'I dos'. Each setting can be transformed for a memorable reception and evening meal. The room layout and table plan will be discussed with you in the run-up to your day, and the team can help with place names, favors, and other table features.
Services Offered
Reading Town Hall has a selection of menus designed for specific budgets, or the chef can create a bespoke menu to suit your needs. Each dish is freshly prepared on-site by the esteemed culinary team. They source ingredients from local suppliers wherever possible and use free-range eggs and fair-trade teas and coffees. There's also an extensive wine list and a range of soft drinks for cash or tab bar. The venue's team of registrars and event coordinators will be more than happy to discuss your vision and can't wait to begin planning your momentous occasion.
