The Reigate Hill Golf Club venue (and team!!) were absolutely a dream come true, and I could not have imagined that our wedding would have been as perfect as it was without them. We booked 15 months out, and Lauren + her team have been on hand to help, support and guide us all the way through - from food tasting, to timetabling, to project managing and being totally invisible on the day making everything perfect for us! The fact this venue package includes the ceremony, wedding breakfast, entertainment, LOADS of decoration as well as evening dining and a bar is simply unbelievable and is a must for any couple not wanting to break the bank account - while also looking and feeling as though you have! I wish I could relive the day a million times over, but instead will settle for the beautiful photography in which Reigate Hill will always feature as one of the main characters when it comes to remembering our perfect wedding day 💖

We would like to start by saying our wedding day was amazing & the coordinator Anastasia really did an amazing job of organising the day, everything ran smoothly & us and our family had a fantastic day!
This being said there were a few issues along the way, the communication with the venue wasn’t the easiest on the months before the wedding, we were only assigned Anastasia a couple of months before the wedding date so before that we were just kind of contacting anyone available from the team and this was often quite difficult as communication would get mixed up.
We also felt like we could have been contacted a little more often.
There was a mess up with payment which was quite stressful to sort out.
And unfortunately a few issues with our decorations
On the day. Although the venue looked lovely, there were lots of little things that weren’t done properly, floral arrangements not set up properly, some decor left in the bags and not used at all, we had little food signs to tell our guests what the evening buffet food was and these were not put out causing some of our guests to come and complain to us that they didn’t know what the food was! And I had tried to avoid this by making signs so I was a little annoyed by this,
Our card and gift table looked a bit thrown together and lots of the little personal touches were missing! I had made instructions about the decor to help the staff but a lot of these were not followed.
So I would really suggest hiring your own styling company if you used this venue as it was important to me that the decorations were set up right and small things like that can really bother you after you look back at the pictures.
Also the speed at which the ceremony area was cleared was a little disappointing, we had hoped to go back outside to see this and take pictures and 15 minutes after the ceremony it has already been ripped down. So we were a little upset about that.

The venue did provide a lot of helpful free decor, eg the giant led letters. Sweet cart, Prosecco wall, flower wall etc these were all an amazing part of the venue and the reason we booked in the first place.
Value for money this venue is great, you get so many perks with your booking! And the venue is very flexible on things like if your guests don’t drink wine for dinner they will swap to soft drinks Which we really appreciated.
I think the venue could benefit from a catalog of the decor they have available for guests to use. So they it’s clear how many of each thing they have and it’s more organised! Pictures would be fantastic too.

Not everyone at our wedding was offered a canapé my mum was giving nothing and quite upset to find they had finished before she was even offered one? It was supposed to be 3 per person and it definitely didn’t work out that way.
Outside could have better lighting for the evening / night as guests wanted to sit outside but it was very dark.
The windows inside the venue need to be painted white as they look a bit odd now that the doors are all white.
When packing away the couple’s decorations, a lot of items were damaged or not given back, this needs to be taken care of better as we had planned to sell some of our decorations and outdoor games and the games are all missing the balls, bean bags and ring toss ropes.
Our zip tires and scissors were not returned
Some of our flowers were missing or damaged.
And lots of the name signs legs were missing or broken.
We would prefer to be honest with our review so future couples know what to expect.

This venue is amazing, with glorious views, a wedding coordinating team that are amazing and great value for money. I had the best day for my son's wedding and my family and friends could not sing the praises of everything enough.

We had a totally wonderful experience and are so glad we chose to have our wedding at Reigate Hill Golf Club. From start to finish, Lucy was an incredible wedding organiser. She guided us through the whole process and was so professional, kind and helpful. The venue is beautiful inside and out. We had hoped for an outdoor service as the lakeside setting is amazing, however the rain on the day meant that wasn't possible - incredibly that really didn't matter. All the staff made the inside service area so beautiful, that changing it last minute did not negatively impact the day at all. We loved our day and wouldn't change a thing. We had so many compliments and positive comments from our guests about the venue - We would highly recommend Reigate Hill as a wedding location.

Our wedding day dream came true we had an amazing day from start to finish! The food went down a treat and everyone had a great time! Lauren was brilliant and made our day extra special! And the lady who helped us on the wedding morning and for the breakfast the next morning was so lovely thank you! (Sorry I can’t remember her name now)

We cannot recommend this venue enough and our wedding co ordinater Lauren...who was brilliant from start of our wedding journey ...it is a lovely picturesque setting and the staff made us feel like the most important people in the world on our day...the bride is the Queen for the day and Lauren made sure of that...

Lauren and the team were so helpful from the planning to the day itself. The day was perfect. All staff were attentive and made sure the day run smoothly. Food was amazing and the grounds are so beautiful. Competitively priced too. Highly recommend.

I’m so glad to have used Reigate Hill for both my ceremony and reception. Having one venue has huge benefits for both the bridal party and guests. Fabulous views for photographs. The getting ready room was very convenient, so glad the air con worked, drinks and breakfast supplied were much appreciated and delicious. The food the venue provided was all wonderful, both taste and presentation. All staff encountered were friendly and helpful. Spacious bedrooms with aircon and nice views from the master suite.
Lucy was our contact and I honestly couldn’t have asked for someone better. She was very responsive to emails, always helpful and flexible, great at giving guidance but no pressure to make decisions. It has been a delight to work with Lucy since she joined the Reigate Hill team.

We had our wedding at Reigate hill golf club on 01.09.23 and it was an amazing day. From meeting with Emily to look around and book what we wanted, to having meetings with Lauren and Lucy the staff couldn’t do enough to help you. However you imagine your day they will help you create it, nothing is too much for them. We didn’t have the biggest budget but wanted an outdoor wedding and this was the perfect choice! The outside area is so beautiful next to the lake, you have a great entrance as a bride. We chose bbq food and had a great taster session. The bar prices are reasonable and not as expensive as some venues. The DJ is lovely as are all the staff who work in the kitchen and golf club. The getting ready room is lovely, the accommodation upstairs is perfect for the groom to get ready in and handy throughout your day as well as the evening for the newlyweds. Definitely book your wedding here, it will be a perfect day and you will feel supported throughout the whole planning process ❤️ huge thank you for all your help and support, we really did have the best day ever! We had our wedding here 10/06/23. Overall it was a beautiful day, and there were lots of positives but we’re not convinced we would recommend the venue as a wedding choice.

The positives are the venue itself, it’s beautiful and maintained well. The sunset on our day was incredible for a June wedding.
The new getting ready room is stunning and managed to fit 12 people getting ready plus 5 stylists/ MUA so huge!

The value for money was a huge positive as it was a great package. There are a lot of added extras such as the rooms to stay on the night of, Mr&Mrs and LOVE LED lights, donut wall, sweet cart, floral décor, table numbers, mirrors and easels and A LOT more! Brilliant to have all included.

The canapés, meals and desert were all great. They also set up a beautiful plant-based charcuterie table. All dietary needs considered and there were no issues which is great.

Our previous coordinator Ellie was a star, and was part of the reason we went for the venue and were put at ease in the lead up. We then had Lauren once Ellie left. Lauren was great and on the day worked very hard to help things run smoothly.

The venue allow for a lot of flexibility on the vendors that you have. A lot of creative freedom for couples.

Negatives:
The biggest let down on our day was being massively understaffed. We shared our concerns (being in the industry ourselves) beforehand that there wasn’t enough staff for a wedding the size of ours (180). The response was that there’d never been a complaint before and was reassured. On the day not only were they short staffed but we’d been promised 6 people behind the bar and on no occasion was there more than 2/3 people. The room took almost 2 hours to be turned around after we were told it was going to be one. Evening guests waited 2 hours before any of the evening food. There was no one around cleaning up glasses. Glasses accumulated everywhere so our parents had to tidy things up, and a lot of glass was broken (because no one was cleaning up!).
At least one more coordinator and other event assistants are needed. It was quite clear just how stretched thin our coordinator was in the months and weeks leading up to the day. Things also went wrong on the day (e.g. one of our guests needed medical attention). There simply needs to be more people on hand who know what they’re doing, and others that can manage the other moving parts of a wedding/ event.

The room in the morning was not ready until 30 minutes after they said it would be so the bride didn’t get those critical extra moments for photos with bridesmaids and delayed the photographer and videographer to go to the church off site and get pre-ceremony shots at the church.

Communication
Phone lines rarely answered in our experience. The last thing you want as a stressed out couple leading up to a wedding is no one to answer calls.

Rude bar staff
Some of the bar staff were incredibly rude. We didn’t know this until after the fact and were horrified by the experience several of our guests had shared. We’ve complained to management about this so I hope that that proper action has been taken to ensure no other guest has bad experiences!

Lost Decor
We’d bought LED candles - pricier to have them more realistic. Only 1 box was used out of 5 (don’t know why) and one of the boxes were lost which is more strange considering they weren’t used.

We’ve shared the concerns from the day and have had a reasonable response from management - albeit communication and resolution was again delayed and we had to chase.

All of these things, in our view, are fixable and/ or avoidable. These issues were deeply disappointing and marred what could have been a flawless wedding experience. We hope that our feedback will be taken seriously, and improvements will be made to enhance future experiences for couples and their guests at Reigate Hill.

Even after having our coordinator changed a 3rd time (due to the Ellie sadly leaving and Lauren having too many weddings to deal with on her own) and being assigned to us last minute, we cannot express how truly pleased and grateful we are with Lucy and how perfect everything turned out!

She is such a friendly, happy, helpful and professional young lady! From planning, the leading up to and also on the actual day she was there every step of way to make sure everything went smoothly. We are glad to say we had such a beautiful and most perfect day of our lives. The sun was shining and it is one day that we will never forget. Thank you to the exquisite venue and the incredible staff for going above and beyond, making every moment of our day special!

From booking to planning to celebrating our day we could not have asked for anything else from Reigate hill. The communication from everybody was amazing and made us feel at ease throughout. On our day it was raining and Reigate hill were amazing with moving everything inside at the last minute which we were very grateful for. Lucy, our coordinator, was amazing making sure we were happy with everything & the day ran so smoothly. Couldn’t recommend them as a venue anymore 🙌🏼

We had our wedding at Reigate Hill on 03.06.2023. From the get go of requesting a tour of the venue, Emily was so friendly and helpful with all our questions. We returned 2 more times with the parents before agreeing to the venue and this was never a problem for the team.

We had Lauren as our event planner and she was incredibly responsive and so flexible. Everything we asked for or about was never a no. Compared to other venues who can be strict with decor, Reigate are so laid back. They also include basically everything you could ever want in their wedding package like LED 'love' 'Mr & Mrs' signs, the dj, chair sashes etc. We didn't really have to buy much at all for the day and they set up absolutely everything for us, including the flowers we bought for the tables which other venues would not do! They also include plenty of food & drink in the package which was a big priority for our day.

All of the staff here are so incredibly friendly and make you feel so welcome. We had smoke bombs so the bar staff got on a golf cart to take us to an area to set them off, we were so appreciative of this and it was so kind of them to do.

We had so many guests comment on how amazing the venue looked and how beautiful the outdoor ceremony area was. If we could do our day all over again, we would choose reigate hill again and again.

We got married on Valentine’s Day 23 we had the most amazing day. The staff and venue was absolutely perfect. the moment we booked it the staff was amazing and always on hand if we had any questions. Would do it all over again if u could and I wouldn’t change a thing.

We had an incredible experience getting married here! Ellie the coordinator was so helpful and made sure our day was seamless. It had such a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and would 100% use this venue again for future events.
