  Perfect wedding venue

  Bassmead truly is the most enchanting venue for a wedding. We couldn't have wished for a more ideal backdrop for our special day. The barns, exquisite interiors, breathtaking gardens, and even the peacock all contribute to the venue's charm.
  From the moment we toured the venue, we were struck by the kindness and friendliness of the entire Bassmead team. They are incredibly dedicated and go above and beyond to make your day as memorable as possible.
  We were incredibly lucky to have Ally as our wedding manager, and she was nothing short of amazing! She consistently exceeded our expectations to help us realize our vision. No request was too great for Ally; she was always available via phone or email throughout the planning stages. Her expertise and knowledge were evident in how she meticulously organized every detail. The setup on our wedding day was flawless and matched our vision perfectly.
  The wedding food was outstanding! Many of our guests commented on how delicious the wedding breakfast was. They took great care to accommodate all allergies and dietary restrictions, and the presentation was exquisite.
  The dedicated team at Bassmead played a crucial role in ensuring we had the most incredible day of our lives. Thank you Bassmead!

  Perfect venue

  From the moment Julie showed us around Bassmead, I was head over heels in love. There was never a doubt in my mind that I had found the dream venue for the day I had been planning my whole life. The passion the Bassmead team have for their job and their venue is inspiring and infectious, and although they have hundreds of weddings a year, we felt as if we were the only people to ever marry there. The attention to detail and excitement from Julie, Leah and Jade, as well as the rest of the team for our special day made it perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and the day exceeded our expectations. From getting ready in the boudoir, to our ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast, evening reception and our loved ones staying in Appletree Cottage, everything was faultless. We had a lovely nights sleep in Dove Cottage and a special breakfast with family back in Appletree cottage before we went home. All of our guests were in love with the venue. The support and communication from Leah once she was allocated to us was amazing and everything was handled with efficiency and excitement for us.

  Perfect venue

  We are so glad we picked Bassmead for our venue. It’s such a beautiful place in a lovely setting and was perfect for us. We loved the boudoir for getting ready too. Special thank you to Leah, our event manager, who was very patient and helpful through the planning stage and was amazing on the day. The food and drinks are high quality and you know you don’t have to worry about a thing on the day, the staff are fabulous

  The most magical wedding venue

  We got married at Bassmead Manor Barns last week and it was an absolutely perfect day. We cannot speak highly enough of Bassmead. The venue is stunning, rustic, warm, cosy, and so pretty with all the fairy lights. It is the perfect place to get married and have your reception all in one place. The Rickety Barn is beautiful and as soon as we saw it on a show-round we knew that was the place we wanted to get married. But Bassmead would not be the same without the staff - Annette, our co-ordinator, we cannot ever thank you enough. You have been an absolute pleasure to have planned our wedding with, from giving us advice, helping us with suppliers, keeping us organised and on track and helping us think of things we would never have thought of ourselves. On the day you were the one to ensure everything ran smoothly, from the minute me, my mum and bridesmaids arrived to get ready until the end of the night. You are an amazing person and helped keep our wedding day stress free and running smoothly. We are so grateful that you were our co-ordinator and you played a huge part in our day. Everything at Bassmead was incredible - the food, the staff and the venue itself including Dove cottage and Appletree Cottage so that our family could stay the night and have a delicious breakfast the next day. We didn't want to leave the morning after our wedding and Bassmead will have a very special place in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

  The best day ever

  My son had his wedding here this week. It was incredible, a 10 out of 10 from start to finish. Everything was so chilled and ran like clock work. The staff were excellent and we found the whole site to be very children friendly. We had 11 kids who absolutely loved the entire day. We had the crazy golf which kept them busy in the afternoon and had a kids corner with a tipi and books and toys in the main barn for the dinner tine which they moved to the back of the room for the evening .There was not a single parent that was stressed. The pizza in the evening is a definite must. It was delicious and again the kids loved it ♥️

  The perfect venue to get married

  Bassmead is the most beautiful venue imaginable: the bridge, the barns, and Bernard the Peacock are all stunning. Everyone who works at Bassmead are absolutely brilliant at what they do. We had Ally as our event coordinator and she was amazing. She made the process before the day so easy and was always quick to answer any questions we had with clear and detailed answers. On the day, she ensured that everything went seamlessly. It takes so much skill and knowledge to make such a complex day seem so effortless. We felt so looked after throughout the day and loved how Ally, as well as other staff members, were truly excited for our day too.
  
  One thing we had to consider when looking at venues was food as my partner is dairy intolerant and I am coeliac, and we also had many guests with differing dietary requirements too. None of this was a problem for Bassmead, their catering team made everything with care and precision, and it tasted amazing. We were so relieved that we didn't have to worry about this as this is usually a stress in every day life when eating away from home. Bassmead also offer a tasting day - this just made us even more excited for our day as everything we tried was delicious and it proved how much they look after guests with allergens. If you have dietary requirements, you can be sure you will have peace of mind whilst eating your wedding breakfast at Bassmead.

  A perfect day!

  Our wedding day at Bassmead Manor Barn was absolutely perfect, and a large part of that was due to the amazing venue and staff. From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was spot on, with everyone commenting on the quality of every aspect of the day.
  
  The food was outstanding, with one of our guests even saying, "That was the best chicken I've ever had." Bassmead truly made it look special, taking our theme and materials and transforming them into something that took our breath away.
  
  A special mention goes to Ally, our wedding manager, who did a brilliant job both in the lead-up to the wedding and on the day itself. She was on top of everything, ensuring that every detail was perfect. Jess, the bar manager, was also fantastic throughout, making sure everything ran smoothly and that our guests were well taken care of.
  
  The venue is in such a lovely setting, with plenty of areas for guests to explore and relax throughout the day. The accommodation on site was a great bonus, and we took full advantage of it, with our family staying there and loving the convenience and comfort.
  
  We had around 90 guests during the day and 110 for the evening, and the space felt just right. It was spacious without being too sparse—a perfect balance that ensured all our guests had a good time. The dance floor was also the perfect size, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves without feeling cramped.
  
  Above all, it just felt like Bassmead had everything under control. Their thorough planning and preparation ensured we could enjoy our day without any worries. We can't recommend Bassmead highly enough. They put so much thought and effort into making sure it's the day you want, and we were just carried along, enjoying every moment.

  The best venue

  I don’t think we could recommend this venue any more if we tried. From the first show round in March 2022 to our wedding in June 2024 we never once questioned our decision. On the day our event manager Zak was amazing, kept us informed, helped us with everything we needed even giving my wife a big hug when she was emotional. All the staff made us feel so special and they knew what they were doing inside out. If you’re considering this venue DO IT! You won’t regret it
