Amazing December Wedding!

We had our big day in December. It was perfect from start to finish. I knew when I we first looked around this was the venue for us. Exclusive but intimate and space for our guests to stay over. Lydia's planning was second to none I cant thank her enuogh. The food was delicious and the day ran like clockwork (just went far too quickly!).

Fit for a princess!

We had the most perfect day on 02 Novemeber and it was down to all the amazing work Lydia and her team do. Nothing was too much, even when I changed things a week out from the wedding. The setting, the people. It gave me the best day of my life with the most beautiful photos! All the guest have said how amazing the food was, which was a high priority for us! The beds that night also super comfortable and plenty of room for the guests!
Thank you doesn't seem to cut it enough for all the amazing work Lydia has done! 100% would recommend to everyone. ✨️🩷

We had the most perfect day on 02 Novemeber and it was down to all the amazing work Lydia and her team do. Nothing was too much, even when I changed things a week out from the wedding. Amazing from start to finish!

We had our wedding here last month. We wanted somewhere nice and intimate, child friendly, with bedrooms for all our guests to stay over. We found more than that! The venue is amazing, its 17th century and so quaint. The reception room and hotel rooms are amazing!! Our day ran perfectly thank you to Lydia and all the team. Would recommend again and again.

Perfect wedding venue

We knew as soon as we walked into Berts that this was where we wanted to get married, it has such a beautiful feel to the place.Lydia was amazing and took care of absolutely everything for us,it was all so easy.The bedrooms are beautiful a lot of our guests stayed in them. The food was delicious and of such top quality. But the icing on the cake was how Lydia and her team made our day run so smoothly, they really know how to orchestrate a perfect wedding. The whole place has a relaxed beautiful family feel to it. Fabulous wedding venue and team.

Perfect wedding venue

We had our wedding at the black horse inn and it was the most perfect day!

From the very first meeting with Lydia to weeks after the wedding, we have had great communication. The venue itself is beautiful it has so much character, the rooms are all modern but In keeping with the buildings original age and style.

We had a lot of family staying at the venue and everyone only had good things to say. The food is delightful we ate three times, each time everyone was more than happy with their food.

Nothing is to much trouble for Lydia and her team and every single one of their staff were great, including the housekeeping who helped me move my wedding decor in the morning.

Lydia made me feel so at ease I didn’t have to worry about anything on the day, she had total control of everything happening. Myself and my husband just got to spend the day enjoying it!

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the black horse inn to anyone.

I could never run out amazing things to say about the venue, the food, the staff and most importantly Lydia!

Our Wedding went perfectly, not a single thing wrong or out of place! The staff were so friendly and helpful.

In the planning of the wedding Lydia was phenomenal! She had an answer and a plan for every question and strange idea. Most of the time making it even better than before, she communicated everything really well and made wedding planning seem easy!

We would not have had our perfect day without her!

The venue is stunning for photos and they put alot of effort into making sure everything is placed perfectly!

Autumn October Wedding

We had such an amazing time at Bert's for our little Autumn wedding. On the build up to the day Lydia was incredibly helpful and accommodating, she made it so straightforward to organise (thank you so much)!

All of the staff on the actual day were all totally on the ball and friendly, we felt well looked after.

The food was excellent, very impressed. All of our friends and family had a wonderful time, they kept saying how lovely it was.

Bert's is a great venue for a small(ish) wedding we're both so glad we chose it. We actually maxed out the numbers but it didn't feel too much, particularly with the other...

Aw found it really convenient for people with mobility issues and families with children to have the option of staying at the venue (the bedrooms were really lovely too), there's also two hotels very close by and other accommodation.

We're looking forward to visiting again, just fab, highly recommend!

Wedding Day

Every element of our day was perfect, from start to finish. Lydia was always on hand and was so flexible to our needs which ended up being completely different to what we had initially planned, nothing was too much and on the day Lydia was accommodating and helped us get the wedding photos we wanted. The venue itself is beautiful and the rooms are outstanding….not to mention the food! Everything was truly perfect. The venue is small and intimate and just what we wanted. We cannot recommend this venue and Lydia any more highly, we wouldn’t change a thing, and can’t think of a single negative!
