    Excellent Wedding Venue

    Perfect wedding venue

    We knew as soon as we walked into Berts that this was where we wanted to get married, it has such a beautiful feel to the place.Lydia was amazing and took care of absolutely everything for us,it was all so easy.The bedrooms are beautiful a lot of our guests stayed in them. The food was delicious and of such top quality. But the icing on the cake was how Lydia and her team made our day run so smoothly, they really know how to orchestrate a perfect wedding. The whole place has a relaxed beautiful family feel to it. Fabulous wedding venue and team.

    Perfect wedding venue

    We had our wedding at the black horse inn and it was the most perfect day!

    From the very first meeting with Lydia to weeks after the wedding, we have had great communication. The venue itself is beautiful it has so much character, the rooms are all modern but In keeping with the buildings original age and style.

    We had a lot of family staying at the venue and everyone only had good things to say. The food is delightful we ate three times, each time everyone was more than happy with their food.

    Nothing is to much trouble for Lydia and her team and every single one of their staff were great, including the housekeeping who helped me move my wedding decor in the morning.

    Lydia made me feel so at ease I didn’t have to worry about anything on the day, she had total control of everything happening. Myself and my husband just got to spend the day enjoying it!

    I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the black horse inn to anyone.

    Amazing! 💜

    I could never run out amazing things to say about the venue, the food, the staff and most importantly Lydia!

    Our Wedding went perfectly, not a single thing wrong or out of place! The staff were so friendly and helpful.

    In the planning of the wedding Lydia was phenomenal! She had an answer and a plan for every question and strange idea. Most of the time making it even better than before, she communicated everything really well and made wedding planning seem easy!

    We would not have had our perfect day without her!

    The venue is stunning for photos and they put alot of effort into making sure everything is placed perfectly!

    The food was top tier and they adapted the menu specifically us!

    It was so romantic, intimate and perfect for us!

    Autumn October Wedding

    We had such an amazing time at Bert's for our little Autumn wedding. On the build up to the day Lydia was incredibly helpful and accommodating, she made it so straightforward to organise (thank you so much)!

    All of the staff on the actual day were all totally on the ball and friendly, we felt well looked after.

    The food was excellent, very impressed. All of our friends and family had a wonderful time, they kept saying how lovely it was.

    Bert's is a great venue for a small(ish) wedding we're both so glad we chose it. We actually maxed out the numbers but it didn't feel too much, particularly with the other rooms and courtyard to break out into.

    Aw found it really convenient for people with mobility issues and families with children to have the option of staying at the venue (the bedrooms were really lovely too), there's also two hotels very close by and other accommodation.

    We're looking forward to visiting again, just fab, highly recommend!

    Wedding Day

    Every element of our day was perfect, from start to finish. Lydia was always on hand and was so flexible to our needs which ended up being completely different to what we had initially planned, nothing was too much and on the day Lydia was accommodating and helped us get the wedding photos we wanted. The venue itself is beautiful and the rooms are outstanding….not to mention the food! Everything was truly perfect. The venue is small and intimate and just what we wanted. We cannot recommend this venue and Lydia any more highly, we wouldn’t change a thing, and can’t think of a single negative!

    Outstanding!

    The Black Horse is a beautiful , historic building, perfect for a wedding venue. We took full advantage of booking sole use of the exterior and having a couple of drinks in the sunshine surrounded by the beautiful flowers in the Courtyard was wonderful after the wedding ceremony.

    Lydia (who is in charge of evens such as weddings) was so professional, meticulously planned and organised and she communicated brilliantly from our first enquiry, right through to after the wedding.

    She had some fantastic ideas and recommendations and she totally took the pain and stress out of planning a wedding.

    The venue, including the dining tables looked wonderfully adorned and the food was delicious. We paid extra and upgraded our menu and provided our guests with a choice for each course. The chefs are brilliant and all our guests commented on how amazing the food was. The head chef met with us beforehand to help us menu plan and we were offered a tasting. The hog roast in the evening was also an absolute triumph.

    The Black Horse go way above and beyond and Lydia scheduled the timeline and
    navigated the ceremony officials, family members and guests, live band and DJ on the wedding day brilliantly.

    As a bride, it was so nice to relax and enjoy the magic of the day without having to stress or worry .


    The whole team were fantastic and the day just flowed faultlessly. We feel our day was perfect. Thank you to the entire team at The Black Horse!

    Wedding Venue

    We had our wedding at the Black Horse Berts events venue in May this year. Lydia was amazing and nothing was too much trouble, the day was flawless. Many of our guests stayed overnight and again the service was fantastic.
    We would definitely recommend them as a wedding venue.

    Wedding Celebration

    What an amazing day we had and we can’t recommend highly enough, we decided to celebrate our wedding due to other reviews I had read and we were so pleased with our decision. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble . A special thanks to Lydia who helped plan the whole thing.
