  Actual Magic

  We had our wedding here and we couldn't have picked a better venue at all, such a wonderful hotel with incredibly accommodating staff and exceptional service.
  
  We'd like to give a special mention to Hanna and Christine who made the whole day run smoothly and not a single thing could have made it any more perfect.
  
  The rooms are fantastic with everything you need and the 'Garden View' rooms are absolutely stunning. We ate in the restaurant and at Alexanders, the onsite pub, and both have excellent food and service.
  
  This place has become somewhere very special to us and we can't wait to come and stay again.

  Amazing from start to finish!

  We had our wedding here on 14th September 2024. We had a fantastic experience the whole way through. Hanna was absolutely brilliant with helping us plan the whole day and making sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. We had Anne as our wedding host on the day. It was her first solo wedding and she honestly could not have done a better job. All of our guests mentioned how amazing she was, she really made the day what she was we couldn't have asked for a better host!

  Wonderful day, great atmosphere, everything was perfect!

  Great organisation from the beginning. Very flexible to do things exactly the way my daughter wanted, really listened to her. Calm, friendly and a real ‘ can do’ attitude. Lovely outside ceremony, then meal in a lovely room with a large outside balcony area. Beautiful gardens for photos. Food was good, particularly the build a burger in the evening. Then evening easy transformation into area for the band. Everything was perfect and the atmosphere was great.

  Wedding day

  I got married here on the 25th May 2024 and after viewing a few different venues nothing compared to this hotel and the staff! We could not fault our whole process the two years of planning was easy and stress free nothing was too much every detail was perfect. The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to make sure everything is right for you and your guests. Highly recommended!!

  What an amazing wedding day my husband and I had at Castle Green! From the friendliness and helpfulness of staff to the cleanliness and comfort of our rooms-everything was spot on! The Kendal suite is a perfect venue for a wedding reception we thoroughly enjoyed the views from the adjoining balcony whilst having sparklers and dancing the night away with our family and friends . All guests commented on how kind and attentive staff where throughout the whole day. A special thanks to Nicola and Christine.

  Cannot recommend it enough, despite power cut!

  After picking castle green as the place for my wedding I was so excited. Heavily pregnant I didn’t want much fuss straight away till I had my little girl which they were so understanding about. My dad payed the deposit and the they let me enjoy having my little girl. Once I was more focused emails were exchanged and things were well on there way. They couldn’t of done more. 6 months before the wedding my husband to be broke his leg really bad and was in hospital for a week even when they needed 50% if the costs they were still understanding about what was happening. The big day came and the room was perfect! Kids table set up and nothing was a problem. My little girl was asleep when her food was meant to come out so they waited till she was ready. Which she was very ready once she woke up! Our food was just perfect and everyone said how filling it was. Start of the night do come and the electric had gone out in all of Kendal. They sorted tea lights and still able to use the bar on a cash only but that wasn’t a problem. They made it so that the dj could still play music and food would be ready as soon as it could. Which was still the time as planned. For the problem they put more wine on the table to keep guests happy (more so the ones with out cash but everyone was happy) couldn’t of done more for us! Just a big thank you to everyone who made it the day it was. Can’t recommend it enough! Nicola and her team are just fab!

  Absolutely Fantastic!

  If you are planning a wedding in the near future look no further than the Castle Green Hotel - absolutely fantastic. My son and his beautiful bride had their wedding here on Good Friday 2018. We had the most wonderful day ever. From meeting Nicola (who recently won wedding coordinator of the year) over a year ago whose planning was meticulous to the actual day looked after by the wonderful Christine everything ran smoothly, nothing was to much trouble. All staff were amazing, friendly & very helpful. I especially must mention the chefs - the food be it in the hotel restaurant, Alexander’s and definitely for the wedding breakfast was superb. We have been to this hotel many times and have always been impressed with the level of service received. There is refurbishment of some of the bedrooms at present but our rooms were beautiful. The scenery is stunning and we were delighted after a forecast for rain it didn’t happen and although cool the sun did shine. We all had a wonderful time, have got lots of fantastic memories & pictures - would definitely recommend this great hotel.

  Had my whole wedding day there on the 23rd of may and I'm still in awe of the day thank you so much it was perfect the staff were awesome and my wedding planners and Christine I can't fault anything
