September 2024 Micro-wedding

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Compton Verney. The whole wedding/events team that were both involved on the day and throughout the planning stages were fantastic! Hannah and the team were so accommodating and flexible (especially considering our quick turnaround). Samantha was our co-ordinator on the day and did an amazing job, going above and beyond her duties. It was a pleasure having her as part of our day, and many of our guests commented on how friendly and professional the whole team were.

We highly recommend both the venue and events team, and look forward to returning in the future!

Perfect venue for a perfect day!

We felt privileged to get married at Compton Verney, it is a truly amazing location that will make our wedding memorable not just for us but our guests. The team were exceptional from the planning and setup through to the finest details being handled on the day, they made the experience all the more perfect.

The perfect day!

We couldn’t have chosen a more stunning and memorable venue for our wedding than Compton Verney. Having grown up visiting Compton Verney as a child and with an interest in its incredible artwork, it was always a dream wedding venue!

Hannah and the team were incredibly helpful and professional, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. They truly went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. Throughout the planning process, Hannah was so attentive and flexible, catering to our requests with ease.

Thank you, Compton Verney, for helping to create such an unforgettable day. We would recommend this venue to anyone!!!

Unique venue with the wow factor!

Upon looking for a wedding venue, we only visited Compton Verney as we were being very selective and there were very few beautiful buildings with light and bright interiors.

We fell in love instantly. The Chapel was a real selling point as it had a very Italian romantic ceremony feel and combining the use of the outside grounds, the courtyard and Adams Hall made Compton Verney an easy choice for our special day.

The venue is STUNNING!! It’s hard to find a wedding venue that compares but it does come with some restrictions with it being a listed building,
There were a few elements we really wanted but were not able to go ahead...

There were a few elements we really wanted but were not able to go ahead with due to this.. we didn’t actually take this into consideration when booking. I must add, Compton Verney did always offer alternative ideas.

Hannah, the Events Coordinator was honestly so helpful. She helped us throughout every process, including communicating with all suppliers etc, bringing our special day together seamlessly. Hannah also suggested ideas and helped us to make them reality.

The day itself was just PERFECT. All the little things we worried about were just a waste of time. The staff working on the wedding day went above and beyond. Everything ran so smoothly.

We want to say a huge thank you to Hannah and the whole team. Our day was an absolute dream… everything we wished for and more!

Can we do it again please!!!?? :)

We had an incredible day... but it was a huge ammount of work

We had a wonderful day, the venue is gorgeous and things may be different this year but I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone unless they are also hiring a separate events team & planner. We planned everything ourselves and organised multiple individual suppliers for each element, including external catering (no use of CV kitchens allowed at the time), hiring a bar, hiring bar staff, additiona serving staff, people to set up and clear away the venue. The timescales are tight, for a Saturday wedding the venue needs to be clear and cleaned (by you) before 10am the following day and can only be set up from 9am on the day of the wedding. As a bride I had to personally help take down tables, clear rubbish and load vans a midnight on my wedding night as CV do not have any form of internal events team. We hired staff to assist but CV doesn't provide an events manager to be there to organise and oversee this process so I had to do this (although the couple of staff who were on hand were incredibly helpful at the time). Even a wedding planner wouldn't have been sufficient as the set up began at 9am and clear up began at Midnight so two managers would be needed if you weren't doing this yourself. We had an amazing day, but only becuase we did a huge ammount of planning and organising to ensure we had plans and back up plans! CV only really privided the empty venue and absolutely nothing else. If we hadn't been able to stay at the coach house next door (separately organised, for £350/night) things would/could have been very different!

The best day of our lives

The staff at CV are fantastic at their job. We had the type of wedding that required multiple settings and a tight schedule. They were very professional and accommodating at every step. Since they are a functioning art gallery, they will always have a temperature-controlled rainy day plan. The Capability Brown landscape is absolutely breathtaking; people couldn't stop talking about it. All in all: such a perfect venue that you can keep visiting year after year with family and friends.

The staff at CV are fantastic at their job. We had the type of wedding that required multiple settings and a tight schedule. They were very professional and accommodating at every step. Since they are a functioning art gallery, they will always have a temperature-controlled rainy day plan. So much flexibility

From start to finish the Compton Verney team took care of all our needs and the day itself was brilliantly managed. To have such a beautiful venue available and with so much flexibility about it's use, we could not be happier.

Achieved everything we asked of them and more

The events team were outstanding in every way. Friendly and relaxed planning, everything thought of in advance and all our questions answered. The day ran like clockwork, the team were incredible - so efficient and professional! We didn't have a single criticism of Compton Verney - they achieved everything we asked of them and more!
