Our perfect wedding day - 29/8/24
We got married here end of August 2024, firstly the venue is absolutely beautiful, amazing views and grounds. The ballroom is lovely, beautiful fairy lights and well spacious. We stayed in a studio room with a golf view, on arrival it was spotless and all made up ready for us with the sofa bed as requested. Lovely big room with soft clean towels all ready for us.
Our wedding planning was easy, we had so much help and was like planning more with a friend - Jules was helpful and friendly. She gave us ideas and answered all our questions. Emails were answered quickly and all our appointments were flexible. Everything went as planned. We also had help from Lauren who was also amazing!
Our actual wedding day went perfect. All our guests had an amazing time and the day flowed. Our food was complimented on by everyone. It was served quickly and tasted amazing. The presentation was also great!
We would like to thank Suzanne and Myles on the big day! They were both pleasant to have helping with our day and so so lovely. Also a big thanks to Jules for it all running as planned - we couldn’t have done it without you all! Thankyou so so much.
No faults at all with the place and we would recommend to anyone! Especially someone who didn’t have a clue what they were doing with planning a wedding - (us!)

Best Wedding day we could have wished for!
In the build up to the day:
How did you find the planning process? It was straight forward and easy to contact the event team with any questions or queries.
Did anyone in particular make the process easier or more enjoyable for you? Jules an Lauren were really helpful and supportive.
Was there anything that we could improve on? Email responses were delayed at times which I appreciate at particularly busy times of the year- maybe a receipt email so people can either call or know you have received the email.
On the day itself:
What was the best part of your day? Not sure there was just one part, but it went so well just how we had hoped.
Was there anyone in particular that made your day extra special? Lauren was great the registrars were amazing and made it so easy to relax and enjoy the day. Also a big thank you to Raj he was lovely and very attentive.
Was there anything that we could improve on? No I think everyone worked really hard.

What made you book our venue? We loved the venue from the moment we walked in the Amara ball room. The setting is amazing and there is everything in one place making the process so much easier on the day especially for family and friends.

Amazing from start to finish!!!
Planning process was very smooth sailing! We booked our wedding around 18 months in advance and from that day onwards we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable with the team around us! We had always heard how weddings are stressful to plan and organise, but with Cotswolds hotel and spa it was made as easy as possible for us!
Lauren was excellent through the entire process! She was always there at the end of the phone, no matter how many times I called her to ask even just a small question, she was always so happy to help and we are so grateful to her for and all she has done for us !
There is honestly nothing that they could improve on, they made the planning process and the actual day so stress free it was wonderful!
On the day itself:
The best part of our day was having everything go so seamlessly! We were worried as it rained on the actual day, but the team made everything so easy and did an amazing job at organising an alternative for the day instead of going outside! They made special effort for us to be able to go on the golf buggy’s for photos as this was an important part for us and they made it possible with no drama !
Suzanne was incredible on the day and kept our rowdy family in check whilst still being respectful! She was so organised and thorough that I really did not have to worry about anything!
The day was honestly so perfect despite the weather and I cannot fault them at all!
The venue:
We had attended a wedding a year or two prior and had said we should look, so around a week after we got engaged, we had a look and instantly fell in love with the place! We knew it was our wedding venue!
We love the fairy lights and chandeliers in the Amara ballroom, they gave a really lovely look! We also really loved that we could go on the golf buggy’s and that there was a bar which is just for the wedding guests! This made it feel very personal and wholesome!
Everyone on the day and the lead up, from the events team, to the bar staff, to the MC, everyone was so lovely and were happy for us to take creative control when we wanted to and did not make us feel judged or like anything was silly or too much to ask! We are so grateful and cannot thank everyone enough for the amazing effort that went into making our day so special!

Perfect wedding day!
I picked this venue as everything was included and oh my god did that take so much stress off!! I felt like I didn’t really need to do much!! Everything was seamless and they knew what they were doing!! Food was amazing, everyone commented on it!!
I spilled some food down my dress and I got upset as I hadn’t done my couple photos yet, however Jeta (apologies if spelt wrong) got STRAIGHT on it, she went and got a vanish bar and literally got the whole mark out! She kept me calm too and was assuring me she’d get the mark out which she did!! Disaster avoided :) thank you so much!
Dj was from the venue too (we had Ian) he was brilliant!! Mixed our first dance song perfectly! And played what we wanted, my guests commented on how great he was and played loads of request!

In the build up to the day: How did you find the planning process? The planning process was fairly easy to be fair. Any questions we had were answered quickly and any issues were sorted out swiftly. Even though we knew there were other weddings around the same time as ours, it felt like we were the only ones because of how well we were looked after.

We had 30 family and friends staying with us at the venue the night before our Wedding and the meal we had that evening was so good, Raj and his team in the bar were great. Our Wedding day was just perfect, I was expecting at least one thing to go wrong but, nothing did.

Initially we thought the reception area could maybe be better but to be honest on the day it was perfectly ok. The venue: What made you book our venue? We spent a whole weekend looking at venues and yours was the first one we looked at, that should tell you all you need to know. The whole venue impressed us, the guest rooms were much better than other venues we looked at, we had so many people staying overnight, it was important to us that our guests would be comfortable. Again, even though the venue is a Golf and Spa, it felt like we were the only people there and we felt very special.

Enjoyable Whirlwind wedding

A Remarkable Cotswolds Wedding Experience

Every member of the team played their part flawlessly in making our wedding day nothing less than a fairytale. However, I must give special mention to Miles, Suzanne, and Jules. Each one of them spruced up our big day, serving not just us but also our guests with remarkable attention that made everyone feel special.
Miles was like a spine to the entire event, ensuring everything was meticulously organized and ran smoothly; Suzanne, with her graceful charm and proficiency, soothed any stress and made the day float seamlessly; Jules, with her knowledge and attention, ensured every part of our wedding leading up the day itself was planned for.
Now, let's talk about the food! It was nothing short of exceptional. As a food enthusiast myself, and with many guests who are notable "foodies" attending our wedding day, the culinary experience was an integral part of our festivities. Winter Wedding 2022
What an amazing venue, its lush especially in the winter months and priced well before everything has risen!
However, I do think the communication between vendor and client should be noted on, it takes a while to respond to emails and you only hear from them when an invoice is normally due.
We didn't realise there was an event on the same evening as our wedding until the day, and we had people kept coming into our room which was rather annoying.
We did have a few hick-ups through out the day but I didn't know about these until later on in the evening when guests or bridal party had told me, but amongst them it was resolved efficiently.
The food was good, the apple crumble was far too sweet however and I feel the range of food could have been better organised in terms of more options for those fussiest or elder generations for example which they offered but ofcourse at extra cost.
The day went pretty well, I wasn't that impressed with the music offered by the DJ but we did have an open ask for the songs, so maybe that was my fault..
Altogether, food was alright, nice venue and everything happened the way it should have so can't really say too much negatives, and all the negatives are really small things which me and my husband both agreed on could have been done differently!
In the summer, I believe a marriage or event here would be so much nicer with a hog roast or something but we had a winter wedding at my request and nice hearty food, so not complaining!
We had the sit down package, used our starter for canapés and had a main and dessert. 55 people, and 10 children roughly. We also had the apartments the night before and night of which we all loved, so positive! I did feel a but defaulted the next time, we had to rush to be out the apartments and gather all the belongings from the room that had been put away by staff thay evening, we ended up loosing a few items or leaving them behind and because so much was going on we never got round to going back to collect them but again, they didn't ring us back when they told us they would. We are delighted to read you had a wonderful wedding and that our venue was “amazing”. It was a pleasure for us to be part of your wedding day. Our dedicated Events team were and are always available on every step of your wedding journey, including afterwards. We do of course have set times for meetings and payments, but outside of this we are always contactable and understand what a busy and overwhelming experience planning a wedding can be.
As you mentioned at the start, our pricing is competitive. We can offer competitive pricing by having packages individually tailored to each couple’s needs and budgetary requirements.
As a Hotel we are unable to offer exclusive use of our venue, there will therefore always be other guests at the property during any wedding. We are aware that on your wedding date we had another evening function at the hotel which coincidentally shared the same ‘Superhero’ theme as your wedding. We are also aware that this coincidence led to members of your bridal party joining in on the other function and in turn inviting some of the guests back to your wedding. We do want to note, this was not within our control, however, our events manager did inform Josh (the groom) of the situation.
We were disappointed by the rating you gave us despite all the positives mentioned and would like to open up a conversation with you regarding this. Please do let us know if you would like to discuss and we wish you all the best for our future.

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for everything you did during the run up to our wedding as well as on the day itself. As a wedding planner, my only worry was not being able to switch off and enjoy the day like a 'normal' bride. You took this worry away from me so easily, I was just able to enjoy my day and not even think about anything else. I will honestly be forever grateful for this, I cannot even put it into words. It was such a pleasure to meet someone with as much passion for weddings as myself.
Your venue is truly beautiful. From the moment we both walked through the door, we knew this was where we were going to get married. Even though it was 2yrs away! Everything was finished with the highest standard, you can really tell that you and your team know what you are doing when it comes to weddings. We felt safe in your hands. You worked with our suppliers and helped create a truly magical day. Your attention to detail was perfect and wonderfully in-line with my own OCD levels..!
The wedding breakfast was absolutely lovely. I especially loved my gravy jug just for me. please pass on our thanks to chef for all the food we had the privilege of eating on our wedding day. It was all truly spectacular and every single person in the room enjoyed it!
All in all, you were a pleasure to work with and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are amazing at what you do and I cannot recommend you enough. Anybody getting married with you needn't worry about a single thing - you got this!
