  Totally recommend Danby Castle for your Wedding

  We recently got married at Danby Castle, what a perfect venue. Everything was brilliant, the planning was easy, and the day went so well. All the staff were brilliant and the service was great. The food throughout the day was excellent, and commented on by our guests. The team at Danby made the day go perfectly from setting up to clearing away at the end of the night. Everything was on time and as requested. The location is amazing and the venue is very well looked after. Would recommend Danby Castle as the perfect place to get married.

  The staff at Danby Castle Barn are incredibly attentive and professional, ensuring that every detail of your special day is meticulously planned and executed. The venue provides exclusive use.
  The barn itself is beautifully restored, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere for your wedding breakfast and evening reception. With stunning views of the surrounding countryside, it creates a stunning picturesque backdrop for your wedding photos.
  Whether you're looking for an intimate indoor ceremony in the historic Court Room or an outdoor celebration on the lawn, Danby Castle Barn caters to all your needs.
  I lost count of the number of guests who asked me where I had found the beautiful venue and that it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten!
  Overall, Danby Castle Barn is a fantastic venue that combines natural beauty, historic charm, and exceptional service to create the wedding of your dreams.

  Mostly positive. Odd niggle

  The venue itself is amazing. The views are breath taking from every angle and in all seasons. Theres no accomadation on site but there are numerous pubs/air b&bs within 15min drive. The food was lovely. The nibbles did not seem to get round all the guests and the pimms didnt taste right which was a shame. Staff were very friendly and helpful and can accomadate most requests. Great for children in the family to play and explore.

  Outstanding

  Staff were amazing from booking the venue, right till the wedding day. Couldn’t fault anything. Made us both feel so at ease and excited! Food was amazing too!

  Wedding of dreams

  Absolutely stunning venue with the most Incredible views of north yorkshire. The staff couldn't do enough to make our day run just as we wanted it to. I'm so glad we chose danby castle and would choose them 100 times over! We're so lucky!

  Amazing place amazingly organised

  This place is stunning would definitely recommend if your looking for something secluded this is the place. Also Jack and Jill coaching house 15 minutes away is amazing great hospitality

  Right from the start to the finish I can't thank these guys enough, we'd booked this venue 2 years in advanced and was the only venue we went to look at. We fell in love with its character and charm, all the staff are lovely, welcoming and can't do enough for you. There's several areas you can choose to get married all within one venue and the veiws are amazing, they also allow dogs to join you celebrate your special day. If you're an outdoors loving couple with a passion for old buildings and ruins with a twist of modern you will definitely love it here! We loved our time here, the day went perfectly, my only problem is the day went by so quickly!. Thank you all so so much ♡

  Such a magical day 🤍

  We got married at Danby Castle just over a week ago and we had such an incredible day.
  
  Despite a couple of small hiccups with 2 of the old wedding co-ordinators around communication and what was offered to us, when Leah took over everything ran smoothly. Leah was always on hand to make sure our day ran smoothly.
  
  The venue is incredible, we were bless with lovely weather for our games, ice cream van and singer but I could imagine it could be quite difficult if there weather goes the other way. We were also blessed to be able to have our first dance in the ruins which was so magical and special! If you are getting married in the summer and the weather allows, I would 100% recommend this.
  
  Danby has the most amazing natural backdrops for photos and really allowed our guests to unwind. The food was incredible, the portion sizes were great and our guests were all very happy!! We also opted for the Fish and Chip van at night and again, it was insane!! Top Notch!!
  
  The only negative is not having accommodation on site which was promised to us at the time of booking but we booked Guisborough Hall for our wedding party which was only 20 minutes away and allowed most of the guests to stay together.
  
  If you are looking for a stunning venue with incredible views where your guests can unwind then Danby is your venue!! 🤍 Massive thank you to Leah again! Highly recommend.

  Wow, such a stunning venue to hold our wedding. The staff were very kind and helpful from beginning to end and nothing was too much trouble. All our guests commented on how unique and interesting the venue was, especially the old ruins, the views were unreal and created such a nice backdrop for photos. Our coordinator Leah was fab and kept the day running smoothly, Brittany took over on the evening and was just as professional, thanks very much for your hard work. Also, all the food was amazing, canapés were spot on, everyone loved them.

  Wow! I don't know how to put it into words. Danby Castle made it so easy. Before we even visited I knew it was 'the one'. The venue and view speaks for itself, the staff are amazing at what they do and very efficient, nothing is too much trouble, the food was absolutely delicious on the day, and the whole wedding was better than I ever imagined. It really is thanks to the team for just knowing what they're doing! It was smooth, beautiful and we had the most fun day. A special thank you to Ruby who really was on hand whenever a small question popped into my head and she made sure the day was faultless. We absolutely loved our day and would recommend this wedding venue in a heartbeat.
