Dodmoor House recently hosted our wedding and we could not have wished for a better experience from the first visit right the way through to the end of our big day!
When we first saw the venue, we instantly fell in love with it. The beautiful barns, glorious grounds, a courtyard for mingling and a wonderful bridal/ honeymoon suite had us sold!
The booking process was very easy and Mark and his team immediately set about helping us with our planning. The suppliers who Dodmoor work with are all first class and open evenings provided a great opportunity to discuss the finer details.
As our wedding got closer, we were introduced to our coordinator - the amazing Eleanor. She talked through every aspect of our wedding and put together a detailed plan which took away all of the stress. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very well looked after!
On to the day itself - the venue was dressed beautifully and looked amazing. Glorious by day, enchanting by night!
Eleanor was on hand all day - keeping things flowing but in a completely non-intrusive manner.
Our ceremony in the beautiful Courtyard Barn was perfect. Big enough to accommodate all of our guests, but small enough to feel intimate and unique.
For our drinks reception in the courtyard, we were lucky enough to enjoy brilliant weather while we chilled out to some live music and enjoyed the drinks package which Dodmoor House provided (the Ruby package - fantastic choice of drinks and value!)
We were whisked off by our photographer and were again amazed at all the great locations for those all important photos, before rejoining our guests.
Our wedding breakfast in the Catesby Barn followed and flowed so well, with Eleanor on hand to oversee everything. We were introduced from the mezzanine which gave a real sense of occasion!
After the meal and speeches, the Dodmoor Elves did their work and set the room up ready for the evening reception, while guests enjoyed a coffee/ tea (or something a bit stronger!) in the courtyard barn.
For the evening reception, the room looked amazing and flowed from a chilled first dance venue to a full on party venue!
At the end of the evening, the Dodmoor team were once again on hand to help ensure that everyone got to their transport, which was provided to a nearby hotel.
The following day, we woke to a great breakfast which was delivered by the team to the honeymoon suite. Warm pastries and a delicious selection of cold products with fresh coffee!
We were sad to leave Dodmoor House as the entire experience - from booking to our perfect wedding day, had been so special.
We cannot praise the staff enough and would wholeheartedly recommend Dodmoor House to anyone. Our guests, aged 12 to 80, all commented on what a perfect venue it is.

Our wedding on August 24th, 2024, at Dodmoor House was absolutely perfect! The entire day ran so smoothly, and we couldn’t have asked for a more seamless experience. The venue was stunning, creating a magical atmosphere that made our celebration even more special. Every detail was beautifully taken care of, and the team at Dodmoor House ensured everything went off without a hitch, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment. We’re so grateful to everyone involved for making our day truly unforgettable—it was everything we had dreamed of and more!

We first came to Dodmoor house as wedding guests in 2019 and loved it from then on, it has such a beautiful setting, the wedding we attended ran smoothly and felt like a story of the day, it was perfect and so enjoyable as guests. Move forward to January 2023 when my now husband proposed to me, a week later we went for a viewing of Dodmoor house, I did have my heart set on it but we also viewed about 6 other venues in the area (wanted to be sure) every venue just got compared to Dodmoor and didn’t tick all the boxes in comparison.
February 2023 we booked our autumn October wedding for 2024 and the planning began!
We attended numerous open evenings throughout our wedding planning which was so nice to be able to keep in touch with the team, meet recommended suppliers and see their setup ideas and taste the lovely drinks menu and decide on options, it’s a brilliant idea and really keeps up the excitement of the planning and seeing your venue often.
We had our planning meeting in July with our fabulous wedding co-ordinator ✨ Kara ✨ she was so enthusiastic about our wedding day plans, scheme and decor and was giving us ideas of different options of styling our DIY’s with the venue. The meeting is so in depth and thorough, we both left feeling soo excited for our day and relaxed as every detail was touched on!
Kara kept in touch with us and our suppliers leading up to our day, nothing I asked was too much trouble and she was so reassuring every step of the way.
The day before our wedding we dropped off our bits (there was a lot) Kara was on hand and had already started setting up for our wedding in the wedding breakfast room, her energy made us feel so excited and calm and it was great to have that final talk through before we left!
Our wedding day was just an absolute dream, from start to finish it went so smoothly, every guest had the best time and complemented the venue as well as all the hard work that Kara and her team had put in throughout the day so that it flowed so seamlessly. We are forever grateful and Dodmoor holds a special place in our hearts.

Wow I don’t even know where to start!!
We simply had the most magical Christmas wedding!
Dodmoor house team were insanely amazing, they went above and beyond honestly couldn’t have asked for a better team or venue!
Eleanor our wedding co ordinator was honestly amazing!! Nothing was ever too much!! She was incredible.
The bar team amazing! You didn’t stop and I loved how well you all worked together!
The amazing lady in the morning that helped us pack everything up! You were so lovely! It was the middle of the storm and you put your jacket on and helped even though you didn’t need to! You my darling are an angel!
Honestly if your thinking of booking this venue look no further! We would choose this place over and over again with no doubt in our head!!!!

We have our special day here this December and it was honestly amazing. We booked in 2022 and Dodmoor were there throughout the whole planning process. Every detail was thoroughly thought about and nothing was missed. It is a beautiful venue and we loved the breakfast the following day. 10/10 venue with 10/10 staff. You will not be disappointed. -

There aren't enough words to describe Dodmoor House. Having worked here for several years, it was never a question that we were going to get married here. Mark and Louise together with their team have created the most beautiful and picturesque wedding venue situated in the countryside. From the very first conversation right through to even after the wedding, the communication with your wedding coordinator and the rest of the team is brilliant, and they are always there for any questions, silly or not, and they appreciate that for the couple it is the biggest day of your life so will do everything they can to help and be as accommodating as possible. Dodmoor offers a level of service which you don't get at other venues, and they are on hand right from the moment the bride turns up to get ready the morning of the wedding, through to breakfast and getting all of you wedding items packed away the following morning. On the day, they are working away both front of house and in the background, and no ask is ever too big - the amount of comments we got on the day complimenting the feel and look of the venue and how 'us' it felt says it all. The Gibsons magical day ✨
We got married last month and our day was magical from start to finish. We changed our initial vision and date to something different and the team were very accommodating and nothing seemed too much to ask. We discussed with Mark our new thoughts and he was super helpful with ideas to make the day flow beautifully.
We fell in love with the venue at our first viewing; it’s gorgeous, beautifully rustic and with the twinkly lights it really creates a stunning mood. Any subsequent viewings were thorough and left no questions or doubt.
Communication was always excellent, even if our coordinator wasn’t available we always had a response to keep us in the loop.
Our incredible coordinator, Eleanor, was on hand for every aspect leading upto the day and was super attentive throughout the day and evening its self.
We couldn’t have asked for a better team, I wish we could do it all over again! Thanks so much Dodmoor 🫶🏻
