  Overall a disappointing experience

  Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience with Dorfold. Don't get me wrong, the venue itself is stunning which is why we picked it in the first place. It has the potential of being an all-round great venue, having such beautiful buildings and gardens. However, we were let down by the inflexibility, lack of clear information and at times poor communication from the Dorfold staff. For example, there was no wedding the day before ours and when booking the venue, we were told that we would be able to get early access if this was the case. Our wedding was at 2pm and the staff wouldn't let us check-in earlier in order for family to simply drop their overnight bags into the room to avoid having to do this during the wedding, which seemed unfair to us. Not only this, but one of the wedding coordinators had informed my parents that they could get access to the room but then later changed her position shortly before the ceremony was starting. My mum was left waiting outside the room for 15 mins right before the ceremony was due to start, panicking and stressing about what to do. This is not how my mum had envisaged the start to the wedding and I was deeply disappointed when I learnt of this.
  
  We had sadly experienced another incident of miscommunication by the Dorfold staff the day before the wedding. We had been told that a wedding coordinator would meet us at the venue the day before when we were scheduled to drop off various items for the wedding day set-up. However, when we arrived, we were told that the wedding coordinator wasn’t working that day and wasn't available to help us which seemed very odd. We then bumped into her at the venue showing another potential couple around. She was clearly embarrassed that we had seen her however no apology or explanation was offered. This was far from the high-quality service we expected when choosing Dorfold as our venue.
  
  If you are choosing this venue, I would highly recommend you go around the venue and take photos of everything. They took our security deposit for extremely trivial things, with very high prices for replacements. We disputed these but were rudely told that they simply disagreed with our position and didn’t provide evidence for the high-cost replacements. I’m going to leave it here as it makes me upset writing this. To all those getting married, our wedding day was great, don’t worry too much about the small or material things, we still had a great day because all our family and friends made it so special. I just wanted to write this to let potential couples aware of our experience at this venue. Love wins xxx

  When you enter the grounds of Dorfold Hall and you begin the journey up the long driveway with the perfectly manicured grounds, you are immediately blown away by its beauty and all it has to offer. You are then treated to a tour of the amazing grounds and the hall itself. Every room is steeped in history and impeccably decorated whilst managing to keep with the original theme and feel of the hall.
  Once you book your wedding at Dorfold Hall, you are made to feel truly special. Through their constant communications, the little touches of sending you a card at Christmas, right the way through to keeping you up to date and involved in all of the preparations. The whole team are incredibly thoughtful and will go above and beyond always offering their advice and expertise to help guide you. There is an immense eye for detail gone into the design of the newly opened L’Ecurie which is just the most spectacular venue you could ever wish for. Hosting your wedding at Dorfold Hall will blow you and all of your guests away.

  Gorgeous Cheshire Venue with fabulous event spaces

  I planned a wedding at Dorfold Hall last summer for a couple who wished to marry in Cheshire in a venue with a beautiful outdoor setting. I am a wedding planner and it was clear to me that Dorfold would tick all of my couple's boxes. A gorgeous historic property with newly built modern, contemporary event spaces, spectacular gardens and stunning views. It was the first venue I visited with my couple and they booked!
  From then on the planning journey - working with the event team at Dorfold - was a dream. They could not have been more helpful, professional and lovely to work with.
  Now, I just can't wait to go back there to plan another wedding.

  Breathtaking venue and amazing staff

  I’ve had the pleasure of attending a number of weddings at Dorfold. The warmth and hospitality of the team are second to none. They can’t do enough for you, and treat every wedding with such personal and individual attention to detail.
  The grounds are just breathtaking, with so many areas to explore. One of the personal highlights is the gorgeous purpose designed ‘dressing room’ for the bridal party. It’s absolutely perfect for getting the bridal party ready, whilst over looking the grounds.
  I cannot recommend enough

  Absolutely fabulous!

  Dorfold Hall is the most fabulous venue with the most incredible team, We could not have asked for a better setting for our wedding day, every part of Dorforld is sublime and gives you the feels as soon as you drive down the beautifully grand, long driveway. Apart from the obvious beauty of the venue, they have perfectly combined the classic with the modern which really made it our first choice. The team are what make this venue head and shoulders above the rest though, Candice, Jen and Ceri could not have done more for us leading up to the big day and on the day itself, they made the whole day run effortlessly and all with beaming smiles, nothing was too much trouble and they made our wedding feel like the most special day in the world (although they do a million weddings it was like ours was the only one!). Thank you all so, so much!
