  The perfect venue

  We chose Escrick Park Estate to get married in July this year after looking at several venues around the North Yorkshire area. This place has many standout qualities if you're wanting to make your day relaxed and personal; from the large open space that is quiet and private, to the beautiful woodland area for the ceremony. We decided that we wanted the day to be relaxed, accommodating and to "set the pace/rules" ourselves. With this venue, you can choose all your own suppliers and the venue manager Diane couldn't have been any more helpful leading up to; and on the day!
  If you're after an outdoor wedding, I could recommend this place 100%.

  Exceptional Venue

  We had a beautiful marriage within Escrick Park Estate, and couldn't have chosen a better location.
  The ceremony was held beneath ancient oaks, and was truly magical.
  The site itself is vast, with plenty of space for marquees, camping, parking and activities.
  The staff are very friendly and responsive, and catered to all our requests (Thanks Diane).

  Relaxed, peaceful and flower-filled garden for our June wedding

  We were searching for a relaxed garden wedding venue near York and were so happy to have found Skipwith Hall Gardens - immediately after our first viewing I knew it was the one for us and there would be nothing better! Skipwith did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations, with the venue including not just the gorgeous walled garden filled with veggies and flowers (and a beautiful lean-to glasshouse) but also full wildflower meadows, an italian garden, and ample space for a marquee to be set up. There were so many corners to explore and different backgrounds for photos. The location is also lovely with views across the surrounding fields; it feels rural and peaceful but is still close to the A19 for easy access from York/Selby. There is guest parking available on site and it is wheelchair/old folk friendly. Only the land itself is provided (along with a water supply), so if you are looking for flexibility and freedom for a DIY wedding - as we were - then Skipwith was perfect. Diane at Escrick Estate was friendly, helpful and responsive and made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. The family of Skipwith Hall were also very welcoming and friendly. Despite being an active garden attached to the Hall, it still felt private and special and we always felt very comfortable. The warden was also on hand during the day in case we had any problems. The venue allows live music too which was an important requirement for us. Overall we couldn't recommend Skipwith Hall Gardens more, it gave us the best backdrop to a perfect day.

  September '23 Wedding

  We got married at Escrick Park in September 2023, and had the most enjoyable experience! We had to postpone our wedding for a year, and the team were happy and eager to help us with the adjustment. We had a lovely walk-through with the team to view the estate, and the grounds and woodland venue were what sold it to us. We were blessed with the most amazing weather - scorching hot through the afternoon and then amazing thunder and lightning during the evening! Throughout our event the team were always on hand and attentive to our questions and needs, and we are so grateful to Pete and Diane and all involved - thank you!

  Woodland Wedding

  We would highly recommend Escrick Park Estate for an outdoor wedding. We loved the freedom they allowed us to create our special day from hiring our own suppliers to being able to stay onsite with family and friends,

  Ideal Location

  Escrick Park is such an ideal location & made our day magical. It really is the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding including been able to do what we wished with the outdoor space & also chose our own suppliers.

  What a beautiful place.

  We hired the Woodland and Parkland for our wedding. Helen and her team were fantastic to communicate with to arrange the day, answering all sorts of questions! The woodland area is so perfect for wedding ceremonies (even if it did pour with rain for us). Our guests commented on what a beautiful place it was. Thank you!

  The perfect place for a blank canvas wedding.

  We loved every minute of our special day in this gorgeous setting.
  So private and the rainbow at the end completed our day. Not sure how they arranged that for us, but amazing.
