The best wedding venue

We recently held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Greenbank hotel. We were so happy with everything about our day. Alisha and Matt made sure everything ran perfectly. Everyone in attendance had nothing but positive things to say about the venue, food, and staff. Eddie, the chef, produced the most incredible wedding breakfast, which we can not complement enough. Natalie and all the other evening staff really looked after us throughout the evening reception too. Thank you to everyone involved in helping us have the best wedding we could imagine! We would recommend the Greenbank to anyone considering it for their own wedding.

Amazing wedding despite Covid

We got married at the Greenbank hotel in October during the covid restrictions, obviously we had initially planned and booked the wedding the year before prior to any Covid knowledge.
When we first went to look around the Greenbank hotel we were greeted by the wedding planner Jane, Jane has a reputation around Cornwall for being an amazing wedding planner, and someone who knows everyone and knows exactly how to orchestrate the perfect wedding, in fact her reputation spanned as far as a couple of our vendors in Plymouth! This reputation turned out to be an undersell, Jane was absolutely amazing to us from start to finish, despite a dramatic drop in guest numbers Jane worked to reassure...

When we first went to look around the Greenbank hotel we were greeted by the wedding planner Jane, Jane has a reputation around Cornwall for being an amazing wedding planner, and someone who knows everyone and knows exactly how to orchestrate the perfect wedding, in fact her reputation spanned as far as a couple of our vendors in Plymouth! This reputation turned out to be an undersell, Jane was absolutely amazing to us from start to finish, despite a dramatic drop in guest numbers Jane worked to reassure us and come up with ways our wedding could still go ahead and be special, giving us recommendations of the best suppliers, allowing us to tailor key aspects. The wedding simply could not have gone ahead without Jane and the rest of the Greenbanks team help.
We went in for the menu tasting back in Feb time I believe, and we were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and the quantity, we were slightly worried that it wouldn’t be replicated on the day but we were wrong, the food on the actual wedding day was absolutely fantastic, every single person at the wedding commented how great the food was (and there were some fussy eaters!) our favourites were the fish cakes, pork and sticky toffee pud! The kitchen really outdid themselves and the food all came out quickly and promptly.
The Greenbank hotel team made the wedding so stress free, Matt G the assistant manager spent ages with us before the wedding going through the details and the art of the possible giving us advice, so that on the day he completely took over, setting up and dressing the room, moving the tables exactly how we liked it and running the music playlists for the entrance/exit/reception music. He was absolutely an incredible host and a really nice person as well who was so kind in wishing us well.
The lookout suite was fantastic as well, it had so much room in that gave our son a lot of room to burn off his energy!
Overall we loved our wedding and wouldn’t have had it anywhere else, thankyou to the whole team at the Greenbank!

Wedding Day perfection - as always

My family and I go to The Greenbank for many occasions, birthdays, Christmas Day, for afternoon tea and lunch so it was only natural that it would be the place we held our Wedding.
We love the hotel and from the start we knew that it would be a perfect day, nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff, Jane the wedding & events manager is brilliant, her attention to detail is spot on and a special mention to Laurence who is the politest, kindest barman.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone, it is the best hotel in Falmouth, the service is always 10/10, the décor, rooms, food, staff, EVERYTHING is brilliant.
I can't express enough how much we love The Greenbank.
We will of course go back again and again - our favourite hotel that holds so many special memories.

The Perfect Wedding

Despite the 300+mile distance between us, and only one more visit to the hotel at Easter we never felt like the distance mattered. Soon enough our Wedding Day came around and the whole thing ran like clockwork. As we were a small wedding of just 26 of us we were able to hold our ceremony in the small Sundeck Room off the main restaurant, and as we exchanged our vows overlooking the River Fal and all the boats with the sunlight just streaming into the room, it really did feel very special. After being served Pimms out on the veranda and having our photos taken (some also down on the little beach in front of the hotel) we made...

We had decided we would like to take our guests out on a boat trip after the meal and we booked one of Fal River's Enterprise boats which was able to pick us up from The Greenbanks private pontoons outside the hotel, which was amazing! After a lovely trip we returned to The Working Boat pub situated below The Greenbank where we had a buffet evening meal. We had so much food we couldn't eat it all! We had the most wonderful perfect day and we would just like to say how fantastic everyone was. Special thanks to Jane Williams and Matt. And in future we will be able to celebrate our anniversaries with a stay at our favourite place! Our Honeymoon room was room 129. Just beautiful, with a balcony overlooking the water. My sisters wedding

Yesterday was my sister's wedding held at the green bank hotel.
I was one of her bridesmaids and stayed at the hotel the day leading up to the wedding.
I had the privilege to meet Jane the wedding coordinator. She was absolutely amazing lady, my sister and new brother inlaw didn't have any worries everything was taking care of. nothing was to much trouble. She made sure everthing was going to be pecfect. Thanks to jane and her team everything was.

The shower was amazing. Powerful and hot the bed was very comfortable slept like a baby even thou there was a wedding party that night. It didn't effect our stay and experience at all.
I would highly recommend this hotel for any sort of stay. But highly recommend Jane and her team to make your wedding day is perfect.

Wedding!!!

We got married here at The Greenbank Hotel last month and I can't rate it enough! Everything down to the tiniest last detail was absolutely perfect.
Jane was so helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything exactly how we wanted and to give us our perfect wedding day! It was everything we dreamed of and more! Such a stunning venue, amazing views and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble.

Everything ran so smoothly, the food was absolutely outstanding everyone commented on how delicious it all was and for the evening reception food we did over order as we thought typical hotel sized portions would be tiny but there was honestly no need, we had fish and chip cones, cocktail pasties ( which are alot bigger than your normal cocktail sized!) Sandwiches and scones there was so much food and everyone loved it!! All our guests complimented on how it really was one of the best weddings they had been too!
The new honeymoon suite The Lookout is stunning, we had a gorgeous breakfast brought up to our room the morning after which we enjoyed out on the balcony taking in the gorgeous views!
We also had a big family lunch the day after too down in the restaurant which Jane arranged for us, we had a big long table in the window to seat 26 of us and even had a set menu made for us all, everything again was outstanding!
I really can't thank you all enough for giving us our perfect wedding day!
We will deffintley be returning to stay next year for our first wedding anniversary!

We recently held a two day wedding weekend at the Greenbank Hotel, including a Friday night cocktail event in the Water's Edge Bar and our wedding breakfast + reception the following day in the newly refreshed and perfect Riverbank Suite. The experience was excellent.

We booked a block of 39 rooms and sent a deposit for our reception site unseen, knowing that we would not have an opportunity to see either the hotel nor the function room prior to our arrival (as we live out of the country). Risky business! On the Thursday prior we arrived to be greeted by extraordinarily professional staff, in an all-out gorgeous hotel. F&B manager Matt Garland was exacting, on point, extremely knowledgeable and very quick to adapt to changing plans. Service by his team, whether behind the bar on Friday night, during tea in the afternoons, or during our reception on Saturday, was attentive, professional, thorough, and fun at all the right moments.

We stayed in the Lookout suite, which is genuinely beautiful, and each of our guests loved their rooms! When booking site unseen we had to trust that the images and reputation the hotel presents online were all true and earned. After spending many days there, we and our entire wedding party can attest: The Greenbank Hotel deserves all of the positive accolades they have. From the decor to the desserts, everything is being paid attention to. We will cherish our time there not just because it was special to us, but because the team working there made us feel welcomed, looked after, and at ease in a luxurious environment.

From the moment my husband and I set eyes on the beautiful views at the Greenbank, we knew we did not want to look anywhere else. The wedding coordinator at the hotel, Jane, met us and offered us unlimited help, support and advice throughout the wedding planning process. The whole process leading up to the wedding day was perfect and seamless due to the care and attention paid by Jane and the staff. It still left plenty of room for our own creativity and Jane and the staff were more than happy to accommodate any details we wanted to add, such as Cornish singers at the drinks reception. All my husband and I had to do was enjoy ourselves! The staff were on hand and willing to do anything for us- we were treated like royalty! The food was delicious and we had many compliments about it (try the mango cheesecake!). The Greenbank will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we cannot thank Jane and every member of staff enough for their care, dedication and hard work. We just wish we could do it all over again.

All of the staff, whether they worked on Reception, the bar, cleaning, or waiting on, were so kind to myself and my husband, as well as our families. It was clear they put in some very long hours, but were always willing to help. My sister booked a family room as they have three kids, and it was so lovely that upon arrival, there were colouring books and crabbing gear for the kids! Just one of the extra special touches. We went for breakfast the following morning, and the staff greeting my husband and I by our by our married name, which was so sweet.

Our guests fell in love with the Greenbank too! The day was seamless, even though we overran on certain times. Matt, the food and beverage manager took over our wedding part the way through the day and he was also wonderful.

If you are planning a wedding, then we could not recommend the Greenbank Hotel enough!

Perfect Day

Our daughter and son in law had there wedding reception at The Greenbank on 26/03/2016. The venue was just beautiful, even though the weather was a little inclement to say the least, but this did not impact on the day. The staff and service we had at the hotel all day was first class, nothing was too much trouble. The wedding breakfast room was so beautifully dressed it was just breathtaking in pastels and hessian and took my breath away, with the ever changing river in the background. Jane the wedding organiser ensured the day ran smoothly, ensuring the guests were where they needed to be for canapés, photos, etc. The wedding breakfast itself was just beautifully presented and...
