The perfect day!

Our wedding at Halifax Hall was exactly what I had envisioned! We had a relatively small wedding and didn't want it to feel too formal - we wanted something relaxed and happy!

Eleanor was our wedding coordinator and she was super helpful with all my various questions and emails! I was nervous about leaving the decorating up to someone else, but stepping into both our ceremony room and our reception room, everything was exactly how I pictured it!
The grounds were perfect for outdoor photos, plenty of green space and beautiful flowers.

Halifax Hall also catered to our fully vegan wedding perfectly! From the start of wedding planning I pictured us having bangers and mash as our main course - they knocked it out of the park! All the food was perfect, and the evening buffet was so varied as well. Most of our guests aren't vegan, and they were surprised at how much they loved the food!

I love venues where you can spend the night, have your ceremony, and have your reception all in one place. I was even able to have my included breakfast brought up to the room the morning of the wedding! The hospitality in general was excellent and everything just went so smoothly.

I'm really happy with how our wedding played out. All of our guests were so happy and comfortable too, and I can't thank Halifax Hall enough.

The best day ever!

We recently celebrated our wedding at Halifax Hall, and it truly was the best decision we made. The venue is simply stunning, with beautiful gardens that created the perfect atmosphere for our big day. Guests didn’t know this hidden gem existed, even though some had friends living nearby.

Hannah, Amy and all the team were absolutely fantastic, always on hand and ready to help with anything we needed. They made the whole experience stress-free, and we felt completely looked after from start to finish. Our wedding day was more than we could have hoped for, and Halifax Hall was the perfect setting for it. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Amazing day from start to finish!

We had the most amazing day at Halifax Hall. The staff were brilliant and they could not do enough for us. Everything went as planned, the food was gorgeous and so many of our guests commented on how good it was. We were so lucky with the weather which meant we got to use the gorgeous gardens. We couldn’t have asked for any more. It was just perfect!!

Summer wedding.

Our wedding at Halifax Hall was great from start to finish. The team were so quick at answering any questions we had. On our actual wedding day, again the team were great at helping us structure our wedding day to the relaxed atmosphere we wanted.
We are able to make full use of the grounds at Halifax Hall for our photographs as the sun came out!
All the guests commented on how lovely the venue and staff were too!
The honeymoon suite is very spacious for getting ready the morning before. We also enjoyed our breakfast the morning after!
We can’t thank you enough for helping us to create the most amazing day, not only for us but all of our guests too!

Our Special Day

Thanks to both Halifax Hall our wedding planner Hannah and other staff members especially Emma and Josh the entire day ran smoothly with no issues.
The venue is beautiful and allowed us to share the day with all of our closest friends and family.
Around the venue there are so many scenic spots which were perfect for capturing photos of our day.

Highly recommend

We had our wedding at Halifax Hall on the 28th May 2024 and could not recommend it enough. We originally had Eleanor as our wedding coordinator, however when Eleanor left for another job opportunity, Hannah stepped in. Hannah was fantastic and nothing seemed too much for her, despite feeling like we were badgering her with questions at times!

We did the intimate wedding package which was £4950 for up to 35 day guests and up to 50 evening guests (including the bridal couple). This suited us great as we didn’t want a big wedding, and various things were included in this price such as canapés, drinks, a 3 course dinner, evening food, the use of a DJ etc.

Our guests loved the area that Halifax Hall is situated in, though unfortunately the weather was not on our side for our guests to make full use of the gardens on the day. We also received compliments from our guests regarding the staff working on the day at the bar, or whilst serving food. The main star of the day was the food, and we lost track of the number of compliments we received on this!

We’ve dropped one star for the quality of service as on the day of the wedding, Hannah (understandably) left early evening as she had done her days work, and another member of staff was left helping us in the evening. It did feel like there was a lack of direction once Hannah left, for example when it was time to cut the cake and have our first dance.

We have also dropped a star for the flexibility, mainly due to certain limitations with the venue. For example, any external caterers cannot use the kitchen, you cannot have any open flames, and you cannot use plug sockets for things such as fairy lights (and instead need to use battery operated lights). These didn’t particularly bother us, but thought it best to highlight in case!

Overall we would highly recommend Halifax Hall as a wedding venue!

Thank you for raising your feedback on the service in the evening and I will ensure I follow this up with the team member who worked as well as the wider team so that everyone knows what is required once your main wedding coordinator leaves for the day.

In response to your few points at the end; we do not allow external catering as we believe our catering is of the highest standards but also for health and safety reasons so we can ensure our high standards are maintained and guests receive not only the best quality food but food created in a safe environment; open flame candles is quite standard at most venues for not being allowed and again this is for health and safety of guests attending; finally we do allow wall plug lights but we purely recommend battery powered so you don't have an ugly wire dropping down the wall to a socket so it visually looks more appealing!

Halifax Hall

Absolutely fantastic. We fell in love with the venue upon viewing and the service was second to none. Hannah was our wedding co - ordinator and was super efficient and helpful. We had the most perfect day and night and will be forever grateful to the fantastic team for making our wedding perfect. The venue are connected to some amazing suppliers who we used on the day and they were all fabulous and did an amazing job

Great wedding venue - location responsiveness and value for money

Immaculate planning and management of the event. The table by table buffet idea was very helpful. The food reviews were overall good. ! Starters were very tasty. Non-veg went down well. Veg got mixed reviews. Desserts were very tasty and well presented.
Hannah always replied promptly and we had confidence in her abilities. There was some inflexibility in certain areas of provision based on policy. More staff at the bar would have been better. The staff helped to clear things very well and were very responsive.
The rooms were good especially the suite
Breakfast was especially liked by the couple
Overall our guests had a great time and it was a very enjoyable evening

Wedding day

We had our wedding at Halifax Hall in August this year and we had such a amazing day,nothing was any trouble at all,we was on a budget and Eleanor and the chefs were amazing with helping with this,Eleanor made sure we had time to take time out so we could go to weston Park for photos with my late dad,the whole day was perfect

Perfection at it's Utmost Best!!

From our initial video viewing of Halifax Hall with Eleanor we knew we'd found our venue. Everything we saw online from photos to the reviews were all on point. The Hannah, Eleanor and the whole team were professional, supportive and polite. The planning was helpful and very organized and made us feel so at ease. The responses to our requests and questions were prompt which helps when you live in a different part of the country.

Our special day couldn't have been more perfect Hannah and her lovely team were always on hand to ensure that the day went as we had planned.

The only advice I can give is book this venue, you definitely won't be disappointed
