We celebrated our wedding at Hilltop Country House back in April and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. From the very beginning, all the way through to our magical day, everyone was incredibly accommodating and nothing was ever too much trouble.
From the moment we arrived on the day of our first viewing, we were enchanted by the beautiful surroundings.
The setting is truly picturesque, with stunning gardens and serene countryside views that provided a breathtaking backdrop for our special day. The attention to detail in both the indoor and outdoor spaces is impeccable, making every corner of the venue a potential spot for memorable photos.
The staff at Hilltop Country House were phenomenal. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly and that our needs were met. Upon my arrival the morning of the wedding, I was surprised at how instantly relaxed I felt and knew that everything would come together. Their dedication and professionalism were evident from the planning stages right through to the end of our wedding day. No request was too big or small; they were always there with a smile, ready to assist.
The food was a massive highlight with many of our guests commenting on the quality of the Michelin star food and how delicious and beautifully presented the dishes were. Even having our very own his and her cocktails created especially for our day was a truly special touch. The catering team did an outstanding job, ensuring everyone was well-fed and happy.
Overall, Hilltop Country House provided an unforgettable experience, combining elegance, charm, and exceptional service. A spectacularly spooky Halloween wedding
Claire and the team couldn’t do enough for our Halloween wedding. We had such a fabulous day with our friends and family. The food was standout - well worthy of the Michelin star - particularly the red pepper soup as a starter, steak pie as main followed by apple crumble with lashings of custard (bride’s request) for dessert were perfect. Our Halloween decor looked perfect with the Hilltop backdrop. Claire was always on hand to answer questions and Cameron the bar manager accommodated our drinks requests. A special mention to Joe the photographer- what a lovely man. He took the time to capture special family moments for us. We know we will keep in touch with Hilltop. We can't thank Clare and her team enough, they were kind, thoughtful, and determined to deliver our dream day. Our friends and family had a fantastic time and we have been inundated with compliments on the beauty of the venue, the delicious food, but perhaps most of all how kind, thoughtful and friendly all the staff were. Everything exceeded expectations and the whole day went off without a hitch. The space is perfect for a mixed group, with some of our friends exploring the gardens, others hitting the dance floor in the boogie room and we loved watching the kids play with the garden games outside the marquee during the wedding breakfast. Clare is exceptional and is a key reason our wedding day was so perfect and I'm sure she will look after any couple who book Hilltop Country House. She and her team look out for opportunities to make each wedding unique, from decoration, to a bespoke cocktail, to having a nook dedicated to our pictures. Our only regret is not being able to do it again.Hilltop Country House's reply:

Everything we hoped for
We really did have the very best day. It's such a beautiful venue and the team at Hilltop made it all so relaxed and easy, looking after us so well. The food, drink, music, everything was just perfect. Really can't recommend it enough!Hilltop Country House's reply:

Wonderful wedding! Beautiful location, friendly and attentive staff, excellent food. Ideal location for up to 50 guests. Lots of flexibility in the options for menus and drinks packages. All our guests were extremely impressed with Hilltop House and had a fantastic day. Bedrooms were great, especially the bridal suite! We got married at Hilltop just under a month ago and the day was absolutely perfect.
The planning process was really straightforward thanks to Clare and her years of experience and we went into the day feeling relaxed and prepared.
The venue itself is beautiful, with picturesque countryside views from all sides and pretty plants and flowers all through the gardens. The photo of us in amongst the bluebells is really special and you can even spot the skyline of Manchester in the distance over the rolling hills at the back of the house.
The food was excellent - the menus have options to suit everyone with local ingredients (including herbs from their own garden) and we were thrilled with the quality and the taste of the wedding breakfast and the evening food.
All of our requests were accommodated with ease and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. If you want to get married in a beautiful place which feels like home, then Hilltop is the venue for you.Hilltop Country House's reply:
