Our beautifully perfect wedding 20th July 2024

I actually don't know where to begin ! We booked our wedding here 2 years ago and over them 2 years the team was amazing especially as I had a million and 1 questions over the time and nothing was too much effort for them they was amazing.

Fast forward to our wedding day, it was everything we ever dreamt of it ran smoothly all day we didn't have to worry about anything and we got to enjoy the day and night to the max. The food was amazing and hot which is surprising when catering for a large number, the room and tables were beautiful it was like walking into a magical place. One of...

I actually don't know where to begin ! We booked our wedding here 2 years ago and over them 2 years the team was amazing especially as I had a million and 1 questions over the time and nothing was too much effort for them they was amazing.

Fast forward to our wedding day, it was everything we ever dreamt of it ran smoothly all day we didn't have to worry about anything and we got to enjoy the day and night to the max. The food was amazing and hot which is surprising when catering for a large number, the room and tables were beautiful it was like walking into a magical place. One of the best features is the sweeping staircase where you can have your photos taken. All of our guest had a great time and most saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Sue who was with us all day was absolutely amazing she is so good at her job and made sure we had everything we needed from preparation to the end of the day.

After the wedding we went back to our room where the staff had placed rose petals all over the bed with some heart chocolates on the pillows and left us a beautiful wedding card and personalised mugs with Mr & Mrs Wythe on them a beautiful personal touch which really touched our hearts.

All I can say is thank you to the whole team for everything you went above and beyond to make our day perfect in every way and I would highly recommend anyone to have their wedding here.

Absolutely amazing day!

Myself and my husband got married here on 28.11, a Thursday. We had the absolute best day possible. We had a little big package with a small number of guests, this was no problem for the venue. The whole day ran so smoothly, we never had to worry about anything as Sue, Suzanna, Simon and Mo were all on hand dealing with everything. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The bridal suite was beautiful, huge room overlooking the airport, seeing planes coming in whilst getting ready was lovely. Honestly was the best day and if we got to do it all over again I would definitely do it here at the Holiday Inn Southend. Highly recommended

Absolutely fantastic wedding venue and nothing was too big or too small for them

I had the pleasure of having my africcn traditional wedding at Holiday Inn Southend recently, and I must say it was an enchanting experience from start to finish. The venue exuded elegance and charm. The planning end was also easy and nothing seemed too difficult.

Just wanted to say thank you so much being part of our special day on Saturday. We had the most perfect day and we couldn’t have done that without all the help from you and the team. Suzanna and Sue on the day were amazing, everything they took care of seamlessly. Both ensured the Laker suite room and our ideas came to life.
They were just there guiding us when we needed it, it felt like we had all the time in the world to enjoy the moments. The venue looked stunning. Everyone had commented on how great the food was, the venue and the whole experience.
Little touches like the special gifts in our room at the end...

From the moment we met Hayley to view your hotel we were filled with complete confidence that you would make our day special. At each meeting and every email you were kind and so helpful.
On our day Sue and Suzanna were calm and in complete control of everything They ensured that the day ran so smoothly we really cannot thank them enough They were so kind and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Their gentle guidance was so much appreciated.

Wonderful & Joyful

Our time here was beyond our expectations. The venue is modern and clean, with excellent facilities for family and friends of all ages including access and parking, hotel rooms, and more. Our cermoney was on the top floor, which was bathed in natural light, and our reception was in the excellent Laker Suite, which included spacious seating and an excellent dance floor.

We were not able to visit the venue before our wedding, but I strongly recommend you do, because the photos (including ours) do not do it justice. Its a wonderful place and the staff alone were helpful, professional, and shared immense joy in our day - adding to the magic and memories they helped create. This venue comes highly recommended.

My dream wedding

Had our wedding here , and overnight stay , plus stayed night before wedding with my mother in law. Had a fantastic time. Staff were always on hand to help . Bed was so comftable. My favorite was the bath. Really helped to relax after a long day. A big thank you to hayley o'connell our wedding organiser , without her we would be lost.

Our Twilight Wedding

Our wedding day was exactly what we hoped for, relaxed, laid back and stress free.
Hayley, Sue and the rest of the events team go above and beyond, and are always on hand to reassure and answer any questions/worries.
If I could go back and do it all again I wouldn’t change anything, out day was very special.

A truly magical day, one which we won't forget.

Wonderful venue for our wedding. Staff very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Rooms were inviting and comfortable and breakfast was amazing. Thanks you all so much for making our guests and ourselves so welcome.
