Wedding 13th September
Me and my husband got married here on the 13th September and well there was a lot of issues
Function rooms had the tables for the wedding breakfast set up ready for us to decorate which was perfect but then we noticed the floors were filthy old confetti all over and dirty rings where glasses were placed on the window sills and not cleaned. There was also food and dead flies in all of the windows. Hand prints on the mirrors and windows.
We had spoken to one of the staff at the hotel named Paddy and he had said the room had already been cleaned and he will write it on their WhatsApp chat for it to be done that night too also apologies.
The morning of the wedding my bridal party had gone down to check the room was cleaned and well it hadn’t been still a mess. The bridal party spoke to a male manager which was very rude and basically told them it won’t get done until the last minute which caused a lot of stress.
My cake was promised on the day of the wedding by again Paddy that he would wrap up what was left as it was a lot, for me to collect the next day this didn’t happen. When I questioned it I was told one of my guests has taken the whole cake with them. This was proved not to have happened.
A room that I had paid for had a horrible smell so the bridesmaid ended up sleeping in the honeymoon room with us. This is not ideal at all
. Rolls for the bbq were solid and I complained about this at the time for him only to replace my roll and no one else’s. I then asked for them all to be replaced but by the time they come out most people had already eaten.
. The desserts that I had brought in were stored in a cellar not a fridge which I know from working in a pub that the cellar isn’t cold enough to store cream cakes! I had to sign a waiver to take responsibility for this but yet your company didn’t store them correctly. They should have been stored below the legal requirements of 5 degrees when a cellar is averaged at about 11 degrees.
A staff member also accused one of my guests of leaving without paying. He booked his stay through booking.com
And still shouldn’t have been spoken about with me as this is GDPR and was not booked through the wedding. I had to call him after this to find out what was going on for the staff member. This is unprofessional and should have been dealt with by hotel staff only
. Being a wedding I would've thought the bar would've been staffed. There was approximately 7 people waiting and repeatedly ringing the bell . A man finally came out and snapped you need to use the function bar. we all went down there and Paddy said it wasn't open yet . We let him know the whole wedding party was on their way and he kindly looked after everyone. People were grumbling and complaining at this point after waiting at the other bar for so long.
Service was awful as there really wasn't any ! We were eating desserts with all the dirty main plates still on our tables. This is basic service ! same with used glasses. Totally unacceptable service ! Very embarrassing as I was going to clear the room myself as people were complaining! We should've been enjoying ourselves not worrying about our guests complaining !
Head office also stated this in one of the emails which I think is appalling “I would like to make you aware that any purposeful attempt to damage the Leigh Park Hotels reputation, via social media or other forms of media such as review websites with anything but comments based on actual facts and events will need to be fully investigated by our legal representation to ensure the comments are factual and true and not solely an attempt to damage the hotels reputation.”
If I knew this was going to be the way I was treated after the wedding I would not have booked this hotel nor would I suggest anyone else to book.Me and my husband got married here on the 13th September and well there was a lot of issues

Couldn't ask for better
Wow what a place! They made a potentially unsettled time run so smoothly. Tabitha was amazing, with regular meetings and was so helpful and accommodating maling pur vision become reality, such as having an outside ceremony. The day went so smoothly, no issues whatsoever and the staff were incredibly helpful. I cannot find any fault and will definitely be recommending. Excellent disability wedding
In July 2023 I attended a wedding as a guest of the groom who who is severely disabled and confined to a motorised wheelchair. Obviously the disability dimension bought with it potential, access, movement between rooms, and all sorts of other potential factors any one of which, if not properly planned for and accomodated had the potential to spoil or even ruin the day.
The wedding planner, Tabatha and ALL of the other staff worked tirelessly throughout the day and into the evening to ensure all went exceptionally well for the bride and groom and all of the guests.
A VERY memorable and enjoyable day, and evening was spent by all.
Given the exceptional disability dimensions all the potential problem areas were seamlessly overcome. Staff brilliant rooms clean food not so good views lovely
My son and girlfriend now wife got Married here on 19th May 22 beautiful weather .we couldn't go to decorate till 6 o clock when we got there we had to wait a hour as room was being used when we finally got to do it we had to help one member of staff to clear room which we had to help clean up move tables then get tables ready with table cloths and cutlery etc but he was brilliant. Main dinner was terrible my son ordered full roast dinner for us all we had a bit of chicken 4 small roast potatoes and dishes of hard vegetables, pudding was cheesecake that was OK but the pourfitros were frozen inside
The evening buffet was finger food that was a few sandwiches crisp and pizza lasted two minutes then it was cleared away so all food was rubbish. Bridle suit could be a bit more specialOn a good note staff brilliant rooms good weather was fantastic. Great wedding venue
We got married there on the 21st and we couldn't have had a better time. Rooms were evcellant, the staff couldnto have been more helpful in the build up to the event and the wedding meal was amazing. The grounds are beautiful with views for miles including the Westbury white horse. Wedding review
I got married here in May, they were very good prior to the day, but I was very disappointed with the service the day before the wedding, I came to decorate the reception room myself after being told it would be ready, lots of the chair covers were dirty, had holes in them and generally looked very tired and worn. The room itself was dirty I ended up asking for polish and a cloth and cleaned round the room myself! On the day of the wedding even though they had a final brief there were many things that weren’t right on the day itself, which as a bride is very upsetting. I can’t fault the waiters as they are great and did there best to make us happy. amazing wedding reception
The staff were amazing throughout the process of booking the venue right up to and throughout the wedding day.
Everything went very smoothly and any questions/requests were answered and dealt with well.
Our room was perfect and the views were amazing.
The food was also great, with lots of great comments from our guests
We both had an absolutely fantastic day.
I would certainly recommend this hotel if you were looking to book a wedding reception venue.
