  Wedding planner

  Having Nieve as our wedding planner was amazing. If it hadn’t been for nieve nothing would have ran smoothly. She always had time for us and no question was ever to stupid. Nieve was the best wedding coordinator we could have asked for. We always be so grateful and appreciative for everything nieve did for us and there will never be enough Thankyous.

  Wedding 5.10.24

  Our wedding co ordinator Meg kept in regular contact and ensured our wedding day went smoothly and to plan. The food was incredible and lots of guests commenting to us how lovely the food was. I would definitely recommend Marwell to anyone considering a beautiful venue that was excellently organised

  Do not book this venue

  Do not book your wedding here! Majority of staff didn’t have a clue what they were doing. organisation was shocking, one of our dinner tables collapsed and wedding guests ended up clearing up the mess themselves as staff were so slow to respond. Bar wasn’t stocked, kids meals were sent back due meat still being pink.. the list goes on! Communication with the hotel afterwards whilst we’ve tried to get some sort of refund has also been horrendous.

  Do not book your wedding here!   Great venue with great staff

  We had our wedding at Marwell Hotel Saturday 23rd July & wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making our day so incredible.
  
  We would like to give special thanks to -
  
  Gabby - She has always been polite, helpful and cheerful whenever we have visited the hotel
  
  Zac - who provided us with incredible service & patience not only on the actual wedding day but also our meal the night before in the dining room
  
  Meg (Megan E) - couldn't have asked for a better person to be apart of our day, she was organised & interested in how we wanted our day to be
  
  The chef - our food was fantastic, not only did it taste great but the presentation was amazing
  
  The honeymoon suite is perfect, well decorated & the petals were a really lovely touch!

  Flexible and attentive

  Marwell have had a lot to contend with over the last few years, so their flexibility when planning our big day was greatly appreciated. The venue was the perfect size for our requirements, and no last minute changes or requests were too much for them. Marwell doesn't cost the earth compared to some other venues, but still operates to a high standard that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

  You really helped make our day special!

  We celebrated our wedding at Marwell Hotel this weekend, and it was absolutely fantastic!
  We booked out both the Maplethorpe and Oakwood rooms so that we had separate spaces for the ceremony and reception. It also meant we had use of the outside area between the two rooms which was lovely for our guests as it was quite a warm day!
  Marwell have been so lovely over the last 18 months whilst we've been planning our wedding and have always replied to our millions of questions! They organised menu tastings for us, put chocolates, fizz and rose petals in our bridal suite, and made sure that everything was perfect for our big day.
  Our day-of coordinator, Emma, was helpful in the morning, even fetching a broom herself and helping my groom and his ushers sweep the outside area to make everything perfect!
  When I arrived, Emma arrived to greet me and make sure I knew where I was going, before helping the bridal party sort themselves our and get ready for the ceremony.
  Afterwards she guided us somewhere private to have a few moments to ourselves before greeting our guests, and then made sure they everything ran smoothly for the remainder of the day.
  The venue itself is absolutely stunning - both rooms are immaculately decorated and make such a beautiful impression when you enter. They were exactly what we were looking for! Only down side was that it was so hot inside! Definitely needed something to help cool the rooms down a bit! But then, I imagine it was probably the same in most venues that weekend!
  Thank you so much for all your help over the last year and a half - you really helped make our day special.

  Our perfect wedding day!

  Thank-you to everybody who helped make our wedding day as perfect as it was. It was everything we wished for and went smoother than we could have ever imagined. Every member of staff we came into contact with was pleasant and professional. The kitchen/waiting staff provided the incredible food for the menu tasting and the wedding breakfast, the reception staff were always so helpful and knowledgeable, making checking in and ordering breakfast nice and easy. The team who turned the room around between the ceremony/breakfast/reception did an amazing job and so promptly too! Most importantly a massive thank-you to Sophie, our wedding co-coordinator. Despite still being fairly new to Marwell by the time our wedding came around she was incredible, she was up to date with everything that was pre-planned and offered us more services to make our day even better! She had everything under control on the day & knew exactly what we both wanted, definitely made things less stressful for us all and allowed the entire day to run as smoothly as possible. The venue was as perfect as the day and the food was amazing! would definitely recommend as a venue for events!??????????

  Disappointing

  Guests room very poor quality, kettle didn’t work, staff unhelpful. Breakfast was lovely.
  Couldn’t get into rooms before 3 even though wedding was at 2 ??

  Recommend to everyone!

  My wife and I had our wedding in May this year at The Marwell Hotel.
  
  Stephanie was our wedding planner and she was incredibly helpful and friendly and helped us plan what would be a wedding better than either of us could home for.
  We visited the Hotel to have a look and within a few minutes we both new that it was perfect for us. It has a modern but quirky feel set in the forest and has these stunning walk ways which take you through the woods.
  
  The day itself was really well planned and being a bloke I didn't really have a clue what I was doing but the staff helped me through the entire day.
  The food was outstanding and everyone had nothing but lovely comments about it.
  We stayed in a lovely suite and true breakfast was also very nice.
  
  I would recommend anyone visit to enquire about their wedding plans.

  We've just had my Daughter's wedding at Marwell Hotel and what an excellent experience it was.
  
  From the 1st planning meeting last year up to leaving the hotel after 7.00pm the following day they made it absolutely brilliant. Everything was very relaxed, we could do what we wanted, when we wanted to, which was so nice as the timings just run away with things during the afternoon and so the wedding breakfast started very late.
  
  The staff were absolutely 1st class, nothing was too much trouble and they were all so welcoming throughout the whole weekend.
  
  Honestly, if you want a perfect venue with lovely function rooms and lovely bedrooms this is the place to go.
