Most amazing venue and staff!
When we began looking for a venue to get married in a friend of the family recommended the Mercure to us as they got married here a few years ago and all we can say is what an amazing experience we had from the planning to the big day!
I first emailed at around 4:30pm and they replied about 2/3 minutes later with a congratulations and a brochure with their packages and prices. We requested a meeting to view the venue and to speak with them about prices and the packages they offered. They walked through the ceremony room and then the reception rooms which would be more suited to our numbers and then gave us a quick quote for what we needed and was fairly reasonably priced.
They continuously kept in contact with us and were always happy to help answer any questions we had no matter how daft or small and were always friendly.
On the day of our wedding they were amazing, very attentive and helpful, staff were great and the food was even better. They helped our day run as smoothly as possible and I couldn’t be more grateful for that! The gardens where lovely and the drink caravan was a big hit with all guests after the ceremony.
We cannot recommend here enough. Best day of our lives!
From the very first minute of booking this venue, they have gone above and beyond for us to make our day special. This includes squeezing in a last minute guest on the morning of the wedding! Flexible, professional, organised, and great value for money. The most perfect day
From the moment we visited the Mercure, we knew it was our venue. Emma and Olivia were so knowledgeable and were able to give more details than other venues had. For example, we asked about the DJ in one venue and they just answered 'yes, one is included' Emma was able to tell us the name of the company and how the process worked straight away. Every email I sent with questions was answered very quickly, which made a stressed out bride feel very calm.
On the day, everything ran smoothly. Maurizio told us both, separately, what was going to happen on the day and kept me calm when I started getting nervous. The room looked exactly how I'd pictured it, the food was delicious, the staff were on it 100% and nothing was too much for them.
There was another wedding on at the same time but they still made it feel like ours was the only one happening.

Our wedding day
We booked our wedding back in july 2021...
After three years of planning. Our day soon arrived. We got Married on Saturday 22nd June 2024. We couldn't of asked for a better wedding. The staff from the moment myself and the bridal party arrived on Friday night all the way up till leaving on Sunday morning. Nothing went wrong. The team that was setting the room up in the morning of the wedding was lovely, and very helpful. Everyone said how best the venue was, how gorgeous the garter was. We even had 21°c. All our guests got to fully enjoy the full venue. A few guests have mentioned to myself and my now husband. That if they get married they will definitely get married at Mercure. The food was delicious. No complaints at all.
Thank you to all the staff but most importantly thank you to. The event manager he made sure that everyone ran smoothly. Thank you to Emma, Olivia and Kerry. For helping us plan our wedding.

Wedding best day ever
We got married here on 16th May 2024 and it was perfection from the meetings with Olivia nothing was too much trouble me and my husband was very pleased with it all. Wedding day
Our wedding was just perfect from the suite i stayed in before to the ceremony and suite after.
Well organised nothing was too much trouble.Food was excellent.Goat curry,jerk chicken and dirty rice was gorgeous,went down very well with our Jamanican side of the family. Well done chef.Perfect venue for a perfect day. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. What a beautiful day!
We had our wedding at the Mercure Grange Park Willerby and we had such a fantastic day. The team were accommodating and couldn’t do enough to help. Special mention to Finley who was amazing throughout, he always came to check to make sure our day was as perfect as possible. Not “happy” ever after
Our wedding should of been wonderful and and definitely day to remember, yet there was couple things that we definitely wasn’t prepared last minute, on the day of wedding, venue had another party going on, who overtook all garden, making it impossible to do any pictures, we were asked to go in back way with dirty courtyard scene for pictures, other party guests helped themselves to our sweets cart that we paid extra for, garden bar that was requested for wedding guests was not operating due to other party overtaking garden. Bar between two rooms was refusing some guests drinks due to numbers of both parties at same bar, our wedding guests had to go to main bar at reception, and made it bit frustrating. Due to main garden taken, my wedding pictures are not the best, birds poo on guests clothes and surroundings can be visible. There was bit of confusion with meals as well. Music brought for ceremony was mixed, yet all songs was given in order and with paper list as well. It was stressful, and not what you want to remember from your wedding. We booked our wedding well in time (11 months before day) and discussed all what we want and extras well ahead of time, yet get to know night before wedding about other booking next door. On the day we felt like it’s nothing about wedding, just as long Mecure has their rooms booked out, so all about money, not guests.

We are sincerely sorry that you were not happy with the service you received on your wedding day. Your feedback is valuable to us as we pride ourselves on the service given to all couples.
We did at the time issue a partial refund due to the inconvenience caused to you, and as way of an apology.
The other event taking place should not have impacted your use of the garden or your day in anyway. We listened to all of your feedback after your wedding, and have since looked at ways we can improve. We realise in hindsight that an event of that size should not have been booked on a day when we had a wedding taking place in another suite. We will endeavour to ensure something like this does not happen in the future.
Again we sincerely apologise that your day did not meet your expectations.

Perfect stress free wedding
8 months before the wedding we went into Mecure for a walk around and fell in love with the place, the event planners Emma and Kerry were brilliant, allowed us to share our vision and make it a reality! Every step of the way it felt like they were with us helping plan the day! It was so easy and took every bit of stress out the day! The night before all the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful even a bottle of Prosecco was delivered!
