  amazing venue and staff

  We just had our wedding here and it was truely amazing. can't thank the staff enough. everything went brilliant from start to finish. would recommend to everyone.

  Fabulous venue

  Got married here on 30th August and it was such a wonderful day. Our wedding co-ordinator was absolutely perfect and made the day faultless. She was with us the entire day and catered so well to our friends with dietary requirements. The decor and food was perfect, and nothing was too much trouble. We even had a card and chocolate left in our room from staff as a congratulations. I would 100% recommend this venue for a wedding.

  50th golden wedding anniversary

  We celebrated our 50th golden wedding anniversary at the hotel & stayed for 2 nights. The room were spacious clean large comfy beds
  The food was excellent, Hot and plenty of it. The staff were excellent very helpful nothing too much trouble General manager Stewart was very customer focused, Approachable friendly hard working. We were supported from first booking last February. Rebecca who helped us to plan our party has been brilliant .we would recommend this venue to any one looking to book a local celebration. We had a meal in restaurant the night before which was excellent also food was hot and the staff polite and friendly.

  New Year’s Eve wedding 2023

  What an amazing day from start to finish, the staff was fantastic throughout the whole day and evening, they really made our wedding day special. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone for their wedding day, everything was perfect.

  Most amazing day ever!

  Thank you so much, it was honestly the most amazing day ever! I just wanted to tell you as well that so many people have said its the best wedding they have ever been to, the venue, the food, the staff, everything was perfect!

  I had my wedding here December 2023. The team were amazing. They made my day so special from start to finish. Not one fault. Jodie was right by my said all day I can’t thank her enough. Highly recommended. Well done to the whole wedding team, staff, caterers, hotel etc

  Our wedding 18/11/2023

  Myself and my wife were married at this venue on the 18/11/2023 and what can I say.
  Everything was fantastic and the day went without a hitch , the team at the mercure made sure everything ran smoothly .
  I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone planning on getting married .
  You won’t be disappointed :)

  Amazing highly recommend

  Wow we got married 14.10.2023 what an amazing hotel from front of house staff to cleaners, waiters and waitresses amazing! Thank you all so much nothing was any trouble for you all and you made our day run so smoothly our room was beautiful and a special mr & mrs touch when we got back with a card, special shout out to Jodie you are a credit to this hotel you are amazing you made me feel at ease from the moment I met you to running our day. You was fantastic Jodie thank you and your team. We would highly recommend this hotel and it is worth its money too. Food was amazing from the wedding breakfast to the night time buffet. Thank you mercure hotel.

  We had our wedding here on 19/08/23 & couldn't thank the team enough for their help. Myself and my husband would like to add a special shout out to India & Jodie. The two of you were nothing but attentive to myself the night before the wedding & you made sure everything went to plan. We had an amazing day and night celebrating amongst our friends and family, with the staff being incredibly polite and smiley. You are a credit to St. Helens!! Also I would like to give a shout out to the manager, Ani, as he was incredibly kind. You're all amazing and the day went well, no mix ups and incredibly attentive to those with allergies. Thank you so much for making our day so special!
