We had the most extraordinary wedding at Old Luxters Barn in September 2024, and it truly felt like a fairytale come to life. The barn, with its beautiful twinkling lights, created the perfect romantic atmosphere, while the courtyard, garden, marquee, and vineyard gave our guests plenty of space to explore and enjoy. The entire venue had this magical, enchanting vibe that made our day unforgettable.
A huge shoutout to Beverley, who was an absolute star throughout the entire planning process! She was incredibly quick to respond to all of our questions, no matter how small, and her attention to detail made all the magic happen. From start to finish, Beverley made sure everything was seamless, and her support allowed us to relax and truly enjoy our day.
The staff and organisers were amazing, making sure everything ran smoothly and with such care. Our guests loved floating between the different spaces—whether it was relaxing in the courtyard, taking in the vineyard views, or celebrating in the barn, each part of Old Luxters added something special to the day.
If you're looking for a venue that feels like a fairytale, Old Luxters Barn is it. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect place or a better team to bring our dream wedding to life! Thank you, Beverley, and the whole team, for making it all so magical! -

Beautiful venue for our outdoor wedding
Selecting Old Luxters Barn for our wedding was an excellent choice. The staff, especially Beverley, were incredibly welcoming and always ready to help. They allowed us to visit as often as we needed and were quick to respond to our emails and questions. They paid close attention to our preferences for the wedding setup and ensured everything went off without a hitch. The barn and courtyard are stunning, but what truly stood out for us was the possibility of an outdoor wedding in the garden overlooking the vineyard. The picturesque surroundings provided a perfect backdrop for our ceremony and photos. We even walked through the nearby woods (bride in flip-flops) to capture some fantastic photos with Hambleden valley in the background. We wholeheartedly recommend Old Luxters Barn as a wedding venue. -

Amazing wedding
Luxters was amazing. It was our perfect day and everyone absolutely loved it. The staff there were incredible and made the whole day so easy for both of us.
Could not recommend them higher. Made our day everything we wanted and more -

We had the most incredible wedding at Old Luxters Barn. Nothing was too much trouble - they were always on hand to answer any questions. You do have to pay for added extras like lights and crisps wall - I think this is the new normal for wedding venues. The warm, wooded venue suited our autumnal wedding perfectly and was a perfect backdrop for stunning videos and photography. -

We had an amazing day for our wedding at Old Luxters.
We chose the venue due to the beauthful setting and the rustic barn style felt really us. The venue is great, between the barn, marquee and courtyard, it all flowed so well and was a great size for our party.
We also had beautiful pictures in the vineyard which came out amazing with the autumn leaves.
The staff were great, from the planning stage where we were able to visit the venue multiple times, to the day of, where the service went smoothly without any hitches. The food was also incredible, especially the lamb, and the DJ included in the price kept the dancefloor full all night.
The only negative I can think of was the planning document which is shared back and forth leading up to the day, where you detail out the various options for the day. We found it quite fiddly and had problems with the formatting. But just a minor gripe, as everything else was perfect.
I also found the venue to be very good value for money compared with similar venues we visited.
Would thoroughly recommend!

We had a truly wonderful wedding at Old Luxters Barn. From the first time that we saw the venue, we fell in love with the beautiful setting and its relatively informal, rustic aesthetic was perfect. Our guests had a great day too and we received many comments about how beautiful the venue is.
One of the main selling points of Old Luxters Barn is the diversity of space. We made use of the beautiful garden facing the vineyard for the drinks reception, took pictures in the vineyard itself and enjoyed the barn (for the ceremony and wedding breakfast) and the attractive courtyard and marquee for evening cocktails. The Luxters team decorated the barn and marquee beautifully and guests informed us that they liked the use of different spaces throughout the day.
The food was lovely and the service was efficient. Everyone that we spoke to from the Luxters team in the run-up and on the day was also very friendly and professional and for the most part everything went smoothly.
We had a small number of gripes that didn’t detract from an incredible experience on the day.
Firstly, Old Luxters Barn rely solely on a planning document that gets emailed back and forth in the months and weeks leading up to your wedding day.. This is an unwieldy Word document full of images that constantly lead to formatting problems (which can cause concern that parts of the text get lost). It’s not user-friendly (and quite labour-intensive for the couple) and this approach could be looked at and improved.,
Through this document, the venue gives you quite a lot of space to detail what you want them to do with your decorations and allows you to put your stamp on your day. This gives you more free reign with how you want the venue to look, but you are, therefore, more reliant on the staff in executing your vision and preferences. They also stress that the responsibility is on you to mention everything that you want them to do on the day precisely in this document. We worked quite hard to be detailed and were a little disappointed on the day when certain things weren’t actioned or put in the right place because the document hadn’t been checked carefully enough. One example was that our walk-in song (specified in the document) wasn’t played as the team didn’t know there was a song and hadn’t tested the music system. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but very solvable with a little more attention.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that although the venue will say that there are lots of different options for decoration and suppliers and it’s all very customisable (and it is), what is less obvious at the time of booking is that many of these options, if you deviate from the standard, are prohibitively expensive.
Response times on email could be better, particularly as you get close to the day, but we got the sense this is due to it being quite a small operation. Also, when we enquired about the different options in relation to certain elements (such as the drink packages or meal choices), we found, on a couple of occasions, that the team had just updated the cost sheet and not communicated why additional costs had been incurred.
Nevertheless, it is a beautiful venue and we had a delightful and memorable day and would recommend Old Luxters Barn, although our advice would be that it is important for the bride and groom to be organised and proactive in the planning. -

We're so pleased that we chose Old Luxters Barn as our wedding venue. The team at Old Luxters are all really friendly and helpful. They were happy for us to visit whenever we needed to and always responded to our emails and queries quickly. They listened to how we wanted our wedding set up and supported with ensuring the day ran smoothly and to plan. The barn itself is beautiful but there's also a lovely garden, vineyard and woods nearby to get lovely photos in as well. We went for a 10 minute walk in our wellies and got some lovely photos overlooking the valley. We highly recommend Old Luxters as a wedding venue. -
