Charlotte was amazing
We wanted to write a review about our great experience having our wedding reception at Pendley Manor last week. Firstly, we want to shout the highest praises for Charlotte - our main point of contact, who was an absolute joy to work with and who is incredible at her job.
We had our drinks reception in the Peacock lounge, followed by our wedding breakfast in the Oak Room and then finally our reception in the Simon Suite. We also had a private breakfast the next morning as we had over 25 guests staying at the hotel. We found the luxurious wedding package we had with Pendley to be very helpful as it included the booking of lots of suppliers like the DJ, toastmaster, stationary and flowers so this was a few less things for us to think about during the planning process.
We can safely say, the entire day was brilliant and went without a hiccup. We had so many compliments from our guests on the quality of the food and we also want to shout out how great all the staff were, especially the staff serving during the drinks reception and at the wedding breakfast.
There were only a few tiny things to point out - just be aware that there will be other weddings going on at the same time and they do overlap during the day. Especially sharing bathrooms in the evenings. The exterior of the building could do with a little TLC but that’s all!
Overall, we would definitely recommend Pendley to anyone thinking of having their wedding with them. Also, definitely treat yourself to an afternoon tea in the peacock lounge on one of your visits, we loved it!

Amazing wedding venue!
We got married at Pendley Manor in April 2023 and we were so happy with the venue. The hotel and grounds are so beautiful and the location is lovely. Every room is decorated so nicely and it was the perfect place for our wedding. Through all of the planning process, Charlotte was so helpful and the team at Pendley really bought our vision for the day to life. They set everything up so beautifully and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The team for the day were great and made sure that we had everything we needed. Lovely Wedding but Cleaning Staff cant be Trusted
Our Wedding at Pendley Manor was Everything we asked for and more. The Staff were very attentive. Everything went to plan and to top it off the weather was glorious too. Peacocks wondering around in the grounds, Friends and family enjoying themselves while photos were being taken. We couldn’t have wished for a better day. It was Perfect from start to finish.
Oh, what a disappointment Sunday was. We met family for breakfast to go over how lovely the day had been.
We checked out and returned home. We couldn’t believe how lucky we had been with all the Money we had received from our guests.
Fortunately, we had counted it and made a note of who and how much (for Thank you cards) on Pendley Manor headed note paper before we went down to breakfast. on our recount when we got home, we found £440 was missing. Antony went straight back over to tell them what had happened. They assured us they would be able to check on the card entry if someone had been in our room. Next day Antony went back over to Pendley to be told the same, but a full investigation would take place. It took almost 1 ½ weeks to be told YES, they have evidence the room had been entered while we were having breakfast. They also knew exactly who it was.
They told us we now needed to contact the police (this should have been done on Day1 by Pendley Manor when we reported it to them)
The Police got in touch with Pendley Manor and interviewed the person involved. We were told YES she went into out room in the exact time frame we gave them when we had gone to breakfast. BUT Because she couldn’t be seen taking the money the result was there was not enough evidence.
The room was booked out until 11am no one should have entered. The cleaners must wait for a message once the room is vacated. I know this, as I was informed that the HR manager Karen, had asked the Person Why she went into the room without having received a text message that the room was ok to clean? The response was that she went into the room saw luggage then left. She had no right going in there. When we booked in on Friday afternoon, we had to give our Credit Card details over for security reasons I assume. Well what security did we have? If the police had been called right away this review would have been a different ending as the money would have been on the person.
I guess as there wasn’t enough evidence this person is still employed at Pendley Manor, so we are the only losers in the situation.
When we think of how much we spent on the wedding, Friend and relatives who stayed at the hotel on the night, some stayed two nights and all the money on the drinks all day and night.
At the beginning of this investigation Pendley Manor offered us an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast, which we accepted as we were told there is Strong Evidence that a person went into your room, and they would give statements too. After hearing there is not enough evidence, we have now declined this offer as it was like a slap in the face. Especially knowing the person who caused all this is most likely still working there.
I recommend anyone staying in the hotel to check their belongings before you leave the hotel, as if anything goes missing, even if you give the exact time’s you were out of your room and something goes missing, as the rooms don’t have cameras there will never be enough evidence.
Where is the management team at a time like this? The only person from Pendley Manor that has delt with us is Charlotte our wedding planner. She done an excellent job then she was left to sort this mess terrible business out. I think the whole Management team need to go on a refresher course

Amazing Day
We planned our wedding during the pandemic and Pendley Manor were so helpful and flexible. The day fell just outside restrictions in the end and we had a brilliant day. Would avoid
Would not recommend using Pendley Manor for any form of hire, function or event. We had our wedding here back in August and felt as if the staff had completely forgotten there was a function happening. Not a single point of contact was available when issues started to arise. On arrival there was only one member of staff serving and it was his first day causing long waits. The decorations in the room had been mixed up with another wedding and food service was slow, inconsistent and not cooked as previously agreed. As the evening party commenced , the bar hadn't even been stocked enough to serve- they didn’t even have a shot glass or tequila. No management or anyone seemly in control of the event at any point. This is just a summary of some issues, there were several more.
Beyond the above, and perhaps the most frustrating thing (and a reason for giving 1 star over 2/3) it seems the handling in response to issues or complaints is to just ignore you instead of owning their mistakes. We did plan on spending our anniversary here every year but would not return because of this.Would not recommend using Pendley Manor for any form of hire, function or event. Outstanding service
Everyone at Pendley Manor were fantastic. Our special day was absolutely perfect. Frances and her team were amazing . Venue was stunning and food was delicious .Would recommend anyone to have their wedding there.

Our Perfect Wedding Day at Pendley Manor!
We're so happy that we chose Pendley Manor as the venue for our Wedding, we had a wonderful day which has given us so many special memories that we will treasure forever.
Our Civil Ceremony took place in the Simon Suite and our evening Reception in the Harcourt Ballroom and both looked beautiful. We were able to enjoy the fantastic grounds around Pendley Manor during our drinks reception which provided the perfect backdrop for our photographs, The vast grounds of Pendley Manor also allowed us to put on an impressive Fireworks display in the evening.
The 180 guests who attended have been so complimentary about the venue, the staff and all of the food. We had many guests who have dietary requirements and who are vegetarian and this was not a problem for the staff at the venue who provided us with wonderful food that catered for everyone.
Pendley Manor is a superb venue and we look forward to returning next year to stay for our 1st anniversary!
