The most beautiful wedding venue with incredible staff

Wow!! As soon as I visited The Barn I knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding and I was right! Our day was absolutely perfect and everything went so smoothly thanks to every one at The Barn! Everyone made you feel so comfortable and nothing was ever too much for them! They set up the venue exactly how I had visioned it and all the guests loved the food! We love going back now for a drink or food and they are always so welcoming still!

Fantastic Day

Amy & I celebrated our marrage at the barn which couldn't have been better.

The staff were very friendly and extremely organised, going out of their way to make sure everything flowed effortlessly.

This put us both and our guests at ease to enjoy every moment.

The best day ever

I cannot thank everyone at The Barn enough for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. It's hard to put into words how perfect everything was. From start to finish every detail was well thought out, every change of plan and sudden request was catered for and throughout you knew you were in safe hands. The venue is beautiful, staff are incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. Food and drink is amazing. The list goes on and on. All I can say again, is Thank You. Cannot recommend highly enough!

A Wonderful Wedding Venue

We recently had our wedding at The Barn and from the moment we contacted Philippe we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. With only 4 months between booking and event it was great that communication and planning with Janet was easy, flexible, timely and supportive – from our plans with various music playlists needed on different sound systems to arranging our rehearsal the day before, all the little details were accommodated.

The location of The Barn is really accessible being in the centre of town, with plenty of places for guests to stay nearby, yet it feels very private as it is set away from the main road down a private street with no passing traffic....

We recently had our wedding at The Barn and from the moment we contacted Philippe we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. With only 4 months between booking and event it was great that communication and planning with Janet was easy, flexible, timely and supportive – from our plans with various music playlists needed on different sound systems to arranging our rehearsal the day before, all the little details were accommodated.

The location of The Barn is really accessible being in the centre of town, with plenty of places for guests to stay nearby, yet it feels very private as it is set away from the main road down a private street with no passing traffic. It is a gorgeous venue, really intimate but with plenty of space for our 70 guests, and the team had done an excellent job of setting up and laying out our table decorations beautifully; it was a wonderful space for us to connect with our guests.

All the staff were professional, friendly and helpful throughout the event; many of our guests commented on how lovely they were, along with how fantastic the venue was.

The food was delicious, guests choose from 4 meals on each course, and every one of them looked amazing, we’ve heard many compliments of every option. Service throughout the meal was excellent, a good level of attentive, efficient and unobtrusive, they served a large room at a good pace.

The whole running of the day was done smoothly, changing areas worked really well, we hardly noticed the hard work going on downstairs while we had our meal.

We can’t thank the team at The Barn enough for helping us have such a wonderful day and we highly recommend this wonderful venue!

Speechless!

There’s no words to describe the barn or their team. If you haven’t already booked a wedding with them, do it, and don’t think twice!

Philippe and Janet are amazing, from our initial emails and queries, through to the booking and the meeting to discuss our options etc. We were presented with a lovely folder containing all of the information, and some sample menus - given plenty of choices to give to guests (allowed up to 4 of each for adults, and 2 of each for children - loads more flexibility than a lot of other venues)

We dropped off our decorations the day before, and it’s lovely to see local businesses working together to...

We dropped off our decorations the day before, and it’s lovely to see local businesses working together to support each other and the area (they supply discount codes for local hotels), and the Hotel were happy for us to leave a car in the car park overnight before.

When I arrived at the venue, the team had decorated it just how we wanted it, with all of our name places out, activity packs, favours etc.

Nothing was too much trouble, we had vegetarians, coeliacs and allergies - all the food was impeccable. Every single person commented on how great their sea bass was, or how tender (and huge!) the rack of lamb was, it’s safe to say they catered for everyone (gluten free ice cream, gluten free bread rolls etc). Even catered for a vegetarian child at short notice !

Their house DJ (Luke Swift) did a great job too, keeping the music flowing and people up on their feet - a real crowd pleaser.

The bar staff, were incredible - smiles all round, enjoying the day as much as we were - making it extra special.

The sweet cart, patisserie selection and cheese tower looked great too (even supplied gluten free crackers for that too)!

Philippe, Janet, Andrew, Jack & Toby (and the rest of the back of house team), thank you so much for making our day so memorable, every single one of our guests said how great they day was, and you’ve even secured a few new restaurant customers (from as far as Greenwich) who are coming back as they want to taste the other food options 😂!!

November 2022 wedding ✨

We had our wedding here in November & ourselves & all of our guests had the best day. The staff were nothing short of amazing, so attentive & really couldn’t do enough for you. The food was brilliant, everyone said how they enjoyed every course & the evening buffet too! You got to choose out of a big list per course, so you could give your guests 4 options per course to choose from which is very very rare with wedding breakfasts! It really is such a beautiful & intimate venue with exceptional prices. They decorated it perfectly, exactly how we imagined. We dropped 5+ boxes off the night before & a description of how we’d like everything &...

We had our wedding here in November & ourselves & all of our guests had the best day. The staff were nothing short of amazing, so attentive & really couldn’t do enough for you. We had outside suppliers for a couple of decor/sweet Cart items who failed to turn up, I found out as I was about to walk down the aisle so was upset and stressed. The Barn staff, especially Phillippe, sorted everything and to my surprise in the evening we had a stocked sweet table decorated downstairs for us & our guests, they really do go above & beyond for you. We have no complaints or reservations at all about this venue & would 100% recommend it to everyone. The ceremony room looked so pretty too, with the chairs covered & the pretty twig trees, we didn’t need any more decor in there than that, the orangery is such a pretty room on its own. As is the rest of the venue with gorgeous wooden beams, it can suit all sorts of wedding themes. Thank you to everyone at The Barn for making our special day, the best day ever!

A wonderful Wedding Venue

Patrick and I had our wedding reception at the Barn on the 31st July 2022 and we could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our special day.
On viewing The Barn, we both instantly fell in love with this beautiful venue which is also in such a perfect location in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, so convenient for our guests, many of who would be staying in nearby hotels. Having a smaller wedding, we were also thrilled that we could have the exclusive use of the venue for the whole day which later proved to add to the relaxing atmosphere of the occasion.

Throughout the process, Janet was amazing too and always answered my questions promptly, nothing was too much trouble.
Like many couples who get married here, we had our photos taken in Calverley park, which is just across the road from the venue, again so convenient as we did not have to leave our guests for too long.
The food was delicious, and we had many compliments, it was also wonderful to be able to offer our guests individual menus from the various choices available, a feature I would not have previously thought was possible. The welcome canapes and the evening buffet were also very well received.
Luke Swift, the resident DJ, was great too and kept the dancers on their feet.
We are so pleased that we chose The Barn for our wedding and can not recommend this venue highly enough. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and all our guests had a fabulous time.
Dear Janet and Philippe, we so appreciate everything you did to make our day so special and one that we will always remember.

Truly Magical

Janet was absolutely amazing throughout and was always there to answer our questions. It took us five attempts, but we got there in the end, and Janet could not have been more accommodating.

The Barn is such a beautiful venue and perfect for the 64 daytime guests we had. It was intimate, especially the ceremony, which is exactly what we wanted. Phillipe and the rest of the team decorated the venue so beautifully; it was honestly better that we could have ever imagined. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and this made the day run smoothly. The food was amazing; from the canapes, to the sit-down meal and then the evening buffet. They also have so many wonderful additions that you can include in your package and we opted for the sweet cart, which everyone loved, and even made use of The Barn's "Mr & Mrs" canvas and easel for our welcome sign.

The venue is in a fantastic location, with great transport links and a beautiful park across the road, which is where we had our gorgeous wedding photos taken.

The Barn provide a list of outstanding wedding suppliers, which was a great help when planning our wedding as we didn't really know where to begin. We were fortunate enough to work with some of their recommended suppliers; Helen England as our photographer, Cut Above Productions as our videographer, Colonnade Florist and Luke Swift as our DJ. All are AMAZING and we would highly recommend each of their services.

We cannot recommend The Barn highly enough. It is the perfect wedding venue and all our guests adored the venue. Janet and Phillipe, from the bottom of our hearts, we cannot thank you enough! We will certainly be returning each year for food and drinks, and to reminiscence our special day.
