Our dream venue, food, team, and day!

The Buttery and Glasshouse is stunning, and I honestly can't imagine us having got married anywhere else now! We didn't see another venue that was anything like as special as this - the spaces, surroundings, and design are all gorgeous and provide a really flexible setting for whatever kind of wedding you're envisaging. You can style it in so many ways, but it's also really beautiful even without tons of added decoration.

The food was out of this world - multiple guests have said it was one of the best meals of their life! We really wanted excellent food without having the wedding anywhere really formal or exclusive, and it honestly couldn’t have been better than it...

The Buttery and Glasshouse is stunning, and I honestly can't imagine us having got married anywhere else now! We really wanted excellent food without having the wedding anywhere really formal or exclusive, and it honestly couldn’t have been better than it was. We also had a delicious evening buffet and next morning breakfast which was all amazing too.

We were just blown away by how wonderful our wedding day was, and so much of that was down to the incredible team at The Buttery and Glasshouse. We worked with Leigh Anne when we first booked our wedding there at the start of this year, and subsequently with Catherine as our wedding coordinator. A month after the big day, we’re missing being in touch with them, as they’d become like friends to us. They couldn’t have done more - they are warm and personable, communicative, and super organised. We had total confidence in their ability to deliver everything we discussed, and also loved that they were so receptive to ideas rather than sticking to a package of limited options. Our day felt so personal and full of joy, largely thanks to the talented people we worked with who made it possible for us to bring our vision to life.

Beyond the coordinators, we found all the staff (Dionne, Emma, everyone!) we interacted with totally competent and so lovely - and it all added to the ease and atmosphere of a beautiful day. We will be grateful to the whole team at The Bull always for the most perfect day that we can't stop talking about!

Everything we dreamed of

I instantly loved the venue and clicked with the coordinators and I knew this would be where we got married!
They were so accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we had a perfectly tailored package to us.
Every single member of staff throughout the whole day was brilliant and knew exactly what they were doing.
I felt at ease the whole time as I knew we were in safe hands with Emma and her team.
It was the happiest day of our lives!!!

Perfect venue

We held our wedding here on 28th September this year and we couldn’t recommend the venue more. From start to finish they were attentive, flexible and super responsive. Nothing was too much trouble, there were never too many questions I could ask, they were there always to cater to any need or desire for our perfect day.

The day ran so smoothly ran by Catherine, she was there every step of the way, getting to know key guests and ensuring the whole day ran smoothly and perfectly just as we had wished and planned for.

You will not be disappointed if you choose this venue for your wedding!

We celebrated our wedding here in August this year. We had the most amazing experience. The venue was perfect. We were hoping for a sunny day to have the use of the whole outdoor area and for the glass house to be open fully. However we had wind and rain all day. I wish we could do it all again. We spent extra to hire the whole pub mainly due to the amount of children we had attending mainly as a safety thing than needing the space. Just a note with our photos we wanted a simple style very minimal.

Fabulous team & Dream wedding

Amazing wedding venue and planning. Emma and the team made our dream day go seamlessly and we thoroughly enjoyed every second. The food, the space, the customer service and the thoughtfulness / attention to detail in the lead up and on the day. We loved the fact we could stay the night before with our close friends and family to set up and it made the morning after really relaxing. We even took our young daughter to the park round the corner after breakfast before the morning preparations began! We had plenty of time the morning after the wedding to enjoy breakfast, check out and clear up the rest of our things. We were not rushed and so many guests commented how relaxed the day was. Thank you Emma and team!

Best day ever!

We had previously stayed at The Bull Hotel a few years ago and instantly fell in love with its relaxed and rustic feel. Perfect and Exceptional

The venue was beautiful in a great location. From start to finish the day was seamless and everything pieced together perfectly. Emma and Chloe worked tirelessly all day to make our wedding day so much more than we could have ever have imagined or wished for. Emma was attentive, meticulous, professional, caring, down to earth and patient - nothing was too much for her and she made us feel welcome and relaxed. Having our wedding at the Glasshouse and Buttery was the best decision we could have made and the team did a phenomenal job in helping us make some very treasured memories.

A lovely weekend

The venue was perfect for us, we had a beautiful wedding! The staff were very helpful, particularly on the day itself, and did their best to make sure we had everything we needed.

On July 27, 2024, my husband and I were married at the knot at The Bull Hotel in Wrotham. The aim of this was to experience the feel and service of the establishment before we got the big sell from the wedding coordinators. The moment we walked into The Bull Hotel we knew it was the place for us, from the atmosphere and feeling we got, to the excellent service we received when enjoying our Sunday lunch. Only after we had finished our meal did we ask to make an appointment with the Wedding Coordinator. Bearing in mind that this was a Sunday lunchtime, we were told that the Wedding Coordinator Emma was in today clearing up from a wedding the previous day and that they would see if she could see us now. Emma joined us at our table and from the moment we met her we knew we were going to work well together. The tour of the venue was exceptional, Emma’s explanation of each part of the building from the ceremony room in the Buttery to the Glasshouse and where the disco would be in the evening was full of detail, but not overwhelming. Over the course of the next two years the experience we had in dealing with the Wedding Coordinating Team including Emma, Chloe and Leigh Ann was outstanding, their listening skills and understanding of what we wanted, added to their attention to detail were exceptional. Moving forward to the weekend of the wedding, from the moment we arrived the day before the wedding they literally could not do enough for us. Everything we had discussed was there and ready, they had coordinated with other suppliers like the Cake designer, Photographer, Florist etc. so everything was arranged and all we had to do was add our little touches that we had brought with us, like wedding favours, some colour specific decoration, table names and place setting name tags etc. On the day of the wedding itself, they treated not only us but all of our guests like royalty and made every one of them feel relaxed and special. The extra special attention they paid to some of the older generation with mobility issues was extremely heartwarming, nothing and I mean nothing was too much trouble. I am a bit of a control freak and work controlling Process and Procedures so have very exacting standards but had absolutely no problem letting the team handle everything and for this we were rewarded with a day that went like clockwork and a day that was enjoyed by everyone. Although I am writing this it comes from not only me and my husband but from the guests that we had at the wedding, as we have received so many fabulous comments since the wedding, not only on how much our guests enjoyed the day but also on The Bull Hotel and their staff (all of them). As you can imagine from this review, we would not have any hesitation in recommending The Bull to anyone, they make a special day ‘Fantastic’ and memorable for the right reasons.

A truly amazing wedding venue

At the end of June we got married at the Buttery and Glasshouse and we had a truly amazing day. All the staff involved on the day did a truly remarkable job. All our guests commented on how lovely the venue was and how tasty the food was. Everyone had a great time.

As we got married on a Saturday we set up the Buttery and Glasshouse on the Friday afternoon. After that we relaxed in the bar and as some of us were staying on the Friday night there was a group of seventeen of us who all had dinner together. I stayed the night at the Bull and we all had a very relaxed breakfast in the morning of the wedding. It was great getting ready for my big day at the venue. The Buttery is a stunning venue to have a wedding ceremony and then to be able to have photos on the terrace and outside the hotel was great. The Glasshouse was perfect for our wedding breakfast and for the disco in the evening. Have three spaces close together works so well for a wedding as all the guests are close together but not on top of each other.

On the Sunday morning we all had breakfast together and one of the members of staff had thoughtfully put some of the table decorations from our wedding day on the breakfast tables. This was such a lovely thing to do. Once we had vacated the rooms and put all our things in the cars we were able to sit in the Glasshouse for a few hours to sit and chat with our guests whilst having a drink. This was such a great way to end a truly amazing wedding weekend.

Our wedding day was perfect and we could not have picked a better venue, with such amazing staff. Thank you to all the staff at the Bull hotel for making the Buttery and Glasshouse the most perfect wedding venue.
