The perfect wedding venue!

We held our wedding at The Elvetham in August, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making it so special. We truly had the perfect day and we could not have asked for a better, more magical venue - we had so many compliments from guests about how stunning The Elvetham is, and how impressed they were by the service. An especially big thanks to Justine, our wedding coordinator, for all her support in the run-up to the big day, and to Barry, Max and Euan for their endless hard work on the Friday and Saturday. The team were absolutely incredible in helping us get the marquee set up, and went above and beyond in accommodating the various requests throughout the weekend. The food was delicious, the drinks kept flowing, and the staff were all super friendly. David the toastmaster was also a lovely man, and we were grateful to him and Barry for keeping everything running smoothly, despite us slipping behind with our timings! We cannot thank The Elvetham enough - it was the best day, and we look forward to coming back to The Elvetham as a married couple. It will certainly always hold a special place in our hearts.

Exceptional Wedding Venue

We had our absolute dream wedding day at The Elvetham. From start to finish the entire process was supportive and thoughtful. From the first venue visit until after our wedding day, we felt truly valued as a client.
The team went out of their way to accommodate our requests, including a champagne tower and owl ring bearers (yes, really). Nothing was too much trouble, and they were incredibly patient with us when we struggled with the seating chart. They offered a face-to-face meeting to run through all the paperwork with us. They were very flexible with last minute changes and we never felt like we were being pushed to make decisions we weren't 100% happy with.
The coordination on the day was phenomenal, I didn't have to think about a thing thanks to the incredible team and brilliant toastmaster who came as part of our package. We ended up running behind the timeline for the day, but there wasn't a single point where I felt rushed. They adapted where needed to ensure we didn't miss out on anything.
I cannot recommend The Elvetham enough as a wedding venue, they truly created the dream day for us.

Beautiful venue but requires great organisation skills!

We hired the Elvetham hotel as the venue for our wedding. As a location and venue, it’s beautiful, charming and idyllic, which was a large part of why we booked it and would recommend it in this regard. As a business, we didn’t feel it was particularly well run and our experience was at times frustrating.

The hotel has a dedicated weddings team which was initially reassuring for us but throughout the process, there was a lot of staff turnover and poor communication meaning it was us having to organise meetings and take care of most of the details. It didn’t feel like we were getting the benefit of a wedding team but instead we had to be extremely proactive (which is stressful when it’s your wedding). For example, two nights accommodation in the Gardener’s Cottage was included in our wedding contract from the offset, but months later, a family member found the cottage available to hire on a holiday website so we had to inform the hotel of this to avoid double bookings on our dates. There were more issues similar to this throughout the process that required us to have more oversight than we had anticipated. Having said that, Amelia in the wedding team had to pick up the pieces from previous staff members and came in halfway through our planning process, and we did feel she did her best in managing some challenging situations that she inherited.

On the day, the team running the event itself were competent and helpful, and all the food and drink was delicious. The set-up period in the morning was a bit frustrating as the operations manager was busy showing prospective wedding couples around the venue instead of being on hand to help with troubleshooting on the morning of our wedding. We did feel it was inappropriate that prospective wedding couples were being prioritised over the wedding couple on the day and hope the venue can take this feedback on for the future.

Overall, we were glad we chose the Elvetham because the location is truly beautiful, but just be aware that it will likely require a fair amount of proactivity and organisation on your part.

Our dream venue

When we first saw The Elvetham on Hitched, we knew that was our venue.

The wedding team went above and beyond for us, and we had the most beautiful and flawless day. Nothing was too much, and we felt at ease there. Thank you for a beautiful day, we will be back soon!

The Elvetham was our perfect venue

We loved our wedding at the beautiful The Elvetham and everything went just how we wanted it to! This is due to our wedding coordinator Holly who provided a lot of work behind the scenes -working with our vendors and were always on hand to respond quickly to any of our questions. A huge thanks to the The Elvetham team. The venue itself is beautiful and we were lucky that in early April we had some lovely spring sunshine and so we were able to utilise the whole space and gardens for our 120 guests. The formal gardens are the perfect place to have the reception drinks and canapés.

We would highly recommend this venue.

Perfect, perfect, perfect!

We held our wedding reception at The Elvetham in April 2023 and it was just perfect! The venue is stunning and so many of our guests mentioned to us what a lovely place it was. There are several different rooms and areas so it was great for accommodating all ages. Holly & her team were super friendly and helpful in the planning process and were always there to answer any questions we had. We would definitely recommend The Elvetham to anyone planning their wedding!

The Best Wedding Venue!

From the very first time we stepped into the hotel (unannounced) to ask about hosting our wedding there, the service has been nothing short of extraordinary. They, like many, have had to deal with all the issues the pandemic has brought but they've done so fantastically well. The hotel rooms are large and pleasant and if you upgrade to one of their suites, they are just stunning. We will be going back to The Elvetham many times to celebrate our anniversaries, but I would also not hesitate to use them for a special birthday occasion either given the level of service they provide.

Perfect from start to finish

My Husband and I can not thank The Elvetham enough for helping us plan and run our perfect day. It was truly amazing, and I just want to do it again. Our wedding planner was great with her communication, she was great on the day itself too, looking after every need all through the day and made sure we were happy every step of the way. It was a magical day in the most beautiful of surroundings. I would recommend The Elvetham again and again for anyone’s wedding day.

Faultless, bespoke and heart felt.

Best day of our lives

We had our wedding at The Elvetham and it was the best day of our lives. The venue is beautiful in look and location and provides plenty of space to be utilised for all the elements of a wedding day. I would recommend The Elvetham to anyone.
