The perfect wedding venue

I don’t even know where to start - the Ferry House was the perfect venue for our big day. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the whole planning process so easy. I have worked at weddings myself and know how venues can sometimes be difficult and reluctant to help with certain things but not the Ferry House!
They decorated the venue with my diy decorations without any issues, they answered my constant emails (crazy quickly!) and even put up with me doing everything last minute!
The actual day itself, they were so helpful, excited for us and just made us feel amazing!
The venue is just absolutely gorgeous - nearly every guest came up to us on the day to tell us how amazing it was and they honestly felt it was the best wedding they had been to! All thanks to the Ferry House. If we could do it all again we would both choose the ferry house again in an instant.

I don’t even know where to start - the Ferry House was the perfect venue for our big day. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the whole planning process so easy. Simply perfect

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to the whole Ferry House team for all of their hard work, support, kindness and helpfulness in making our day so incredibly perfect. Our guests were so amazed, and keep telling us as much!

It wouldn't have been as wonderful without the team all part of it, and Josh was the best DJ! He played some absolute tunes. Owen took great care of everyone down by the firepit.

Chef and his team put out some absolutely incredible food, everyone has been raving about it since. The food was simply perfect, we're having roast dinner withdrawals at this point....

Katy took care of me and pampered me for six months in the run up to the wedding with the facials, definitely one of the best parts of wedding planning, she got rid of any worries in each session, I will definitely be continuing with those, I miss her already! They should be a must for every bride to be!

Maxine & Georgina, where can we start? They were both the most organised, reassuring, fantastic team, they were truly perfect, being the calming voices of reason, and helping move everything indoors in the morning.

We would write an essay about how amazing each and every one of the Ferry House team are. Every single one of the Ferry House team are truly one in a million, and TFH are very lucky to have them all.

Best experience ever. Amazing staff, beautiful venue.

Our son has just been married at The ferry house.
From start to finish the staff and wedding team have been incredible!
The attention to detail, care and kindness of all the staff is the best we have ever received. They were simply amazing.
The venue itself, is totally worth the journey .
It was absolutely stunning and took our breath away when we saw it decorated.
We stayed overnight and the rooms were beautiful, clean and really comfortable.
Our buffet breakfast in the morning was delicious, full of fresh produce.
The food did not disappoint, it was the best wedding breakfast meal we have had.
Congratulations on a top star venue and a brilliant team of staff from the washing up lady to the wedding planners (Maxine was especially brilliant and also our assigned host who never stopped smiling despite our requests for this and that).
Thank you one and all for making Harry & Dan’s day totally amazing! We couldn’t have asked for more .

The Best Team!

The best team of people you could ask for! Every single person we spoke with was so helpful and lovely to deal with. They made our day so special and run seamlessly! We couldn’t have asked for a better team!
The food and drink is the best around, locally sourced making it all taste so much better! And the views, away from everything so you can really soak in the day with your loved ones with no distractions!

Perfect! Best. Day. Ever!

Our wedding day was magical, it was perfect. Every single detail of the day was wonderful.

We opted for the 2 day wedding package. This gave us the fantastic opportunity to celebrate with our family and closest friends and spread our wedding over a few days. The day before we had time to relax and settle into our 5* stunning rooms (and be pampered with a massage) in the afternoon before spending the evening eating delicious food in the barn with our guests.
In the run up to the wedding, our coordinator was great. No question was too silly. She made a feel so comfortable from the beginning to the end. In fact, every member of their staff were amazing, to us, our children and all our guests.

The staff at The Ferry House took the stress out of our wedding day and everything ran smoothly. The personal touches and little gestures (postcards in the rooms and signage in the barn) from the team made us feel like we were special and they just couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable.

We hired a band for our reception, however the Ferry House DJ was awesome too, our Garage set was out of this world and the Take That medley at the end was fantastic, especially the sneaky last song that topped the evening off - thank you.

The venue has a very rustic and warm feel, inside and outside. With the backdrop of the estuary and the stunning gardens (even at the beginning of spring they were beautiful) there were so many places to go for the perfect wedding photos. Every guest commented on the food - all either grown on site or sourced locally.

We can say with our hands on our hearts, that our wedding was the best day of our lives - truly magical. Thank you xxx

A day we will never forget

28/09/2023 is a day we will never forget.
The team at the Ferry House were amazing from the start, they responded quickly to any questions and were always willing to help.
We used all accommodation including the cottages for 2 nights and our guests said it was an amazing stay & lovely to be all together.
Everything ran like clockwork and we honestly can’t thank the team at the FH enough. The venue is stunning and our day was everything we could have dreamed of, there isn’t a thing we would change. I just wish we could do it all again!!
We got so many compliments on the food, styling and venue and that everyone had an amazing time, we couldn’t have asked for more.

Our dream come true!

The dream venue - the team at the ferry house couldn’t have made our day more perfect. The service on the day, the help throughout the entire wedding process, the flexibility of the entire staff to accommodate my bridezilla requests - cannot fault them in any way. I want to do it all over again and would always choose the ferry house!

This venue was honestly a picture postcard dream come true and the staff that work their absolutely match this with their level of service. From initial meetings through to our big day the event teams efficiency, attention to detail and just all round attentiveness to us was more than we could have hoped for. On the day everything was beyond smooth and the food was exceptional. I'm still now (nearly 3 months on) having people comment on the quality of their meals!
If I could do it all over again I would still choose The Ferry House.

Gorgeous Venue

The venue was absolutely perfect and our fay was made so special by the incredible staff. We really appreciated everything they did to make the day run smoothly. The food was incredible too, definitely got 5 stars from everyone!

Couldn't have asked for a better weddig venue!

The venue is absolutely stunning and the staff couldn't be more helpful! The food is amazing, the accommodation really lovely and everything is so well thought out.

If you like an organised event then the Ferry House is for you. Everything had been thought of, from the decor drop being arranged a week before the wedding, to the powder room to get ready in and making sure we had our wedding corrdinators phone number on the day. The whole day ran smoothly and all the staff were attentive whilst giving us and all our guests privacy.

The staff were more than happy to set up and pack away our decor. The venue even had some free decor you could use on the day, something that is so rare in the wedding industry! Everything extra normally comes with a price tag.

We had a small intimate wedding and it was the ideal venue for it. Most of our guests stayed over and we all had breakfast the next morning together, which was a lovely way to end the wedding.

I am so impressed with the whole set up for weddings at the venue and was surprised it fit well within our budget.

We are both still buzzing from the wedding and a large part of that is down to the Ferry House team. We were so well looked after, including my 9 month old nephew, and we will definitely be back for our anniversaries!
