We knew we wanted Lodore falls as our wedding venue before we even got engaged, but we couldn’t have imagined how amazing it would be! From the moment we enquired, to the day they have been amazing, there for us through anything we needed and nothing we asked for was a problem. They helped the day run so smoothly and they couldn’t have been more helpful! The space was perfect and they honestly work so hard to give you the day of your dreams. The wedding team are incredible and I can’t say I’ve ever heard of anyone else’s team doing as much as these guys did for us !

In late 2023, my fiancée and I decided to get married and have a non-religious service in the Lake District as we had holidayed there several times and loved the scenery and general vibe.
Over the course of a few weeks, we drew up a shortlist of potential venues and left home in South West London to check them out.
The first location we visited was The Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa. The lovely greeting we received from the wedding team, along with the tour of the potential function rooms, bridal suites and beautiful hotel grounds led us to confirm a date there and then, and not even bother checking out the other locations on the shortlist, knowing that the venue and location were absolutely perfect for what we wanted.
From that first day until our wedding day in September 2024, the ongoing communication with the team was incredible - with just that perfect level of professionalism and friendliness.
The flexibility of being able to bring some of our own food and beverage, plus booking separate rooms for the bride and groom on the day before the wedding and then moving rooms during the wedding day (all done by the in-house team), made life very easy for us.
The wedding day itself was absolutely perfect, and not just because of the mini heatwave experienced in the area that week! The room design, plus food and bar service were exceptional - and that’s from a very picky groom who works in events management.
The amazing weather meant being able to have an outdoor ceremony next to the pagoda in the grounds of the hotel, overlooking Derwent Water, which added to the magic.
We genuinely couldn’t have dreamt of a better day. -

The dream wedding team
The wedding team at Lodore are an absolute dream! Nothing is too much for them and they pull off your dream wedding. As a bride you always plan and expect the odd thing to go wrong but nothing went wrong it was perfect!!!!
The team are so lovely and couldn’t ask for anything more

We had the most beautiful wedding day at Lodore Falls this June! The staff were so amazing with the planning and organising of our event over email and phonecalls as we live over 2 hours away from the venue so could only get up there a few times for in person meetings. We want to give special thanks to Michaela who helped us out so much during the planning of our wedding and met with us on several occasions to show us around and hash out the details of the day! Also a thankyou to Dobby who was so kind and attentive on the wedding day. The only comments we have are that our master of ceremonies disappeared for a while following the ceremony so we struggled to play music during the drinks reception and directing guests to the next activity (coach and lake cruise) was a bit difficult due to the amount of guests we had. There was also a mistake with one of our canapé choices, and these were brought out and placed on tables in the conservatory but we think would have been better spread around the guests if they were handed out by the staff. The service between courses for the wedding breakfast was a tad slow but then again we are not sure what the usual rate of service would be as we have nothing to compare this to! These small details did not compromise how amazing the day was and the overall experience at Lodore Falls for our wedding day was incredible! A massive thankyou to all who helped make our day special!! -

Absolutely amazing I couldn’t fault them! Even down to giving me a plaster half way through the day.
I had so many comments about the venue, the food was amazing, I was looked after the whole day.

Thank you so much to everyone at the Lodore who helped make our wedding day so special down to every little detail. The lead up to the wedding and the whole day went so smoothly. The staff listened to everything I had wanted and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Thank you all so much!! -
