    We recently celebrated our wedding at the hotel and it was an absolute dream true!
    The staff were amazing especially Steve who was there to look after us on the day and Emily the wedding coordinator in the build up to the big day. Our guests are still raving about the delicious food and the magical Oak Room.

    My HUSBAND and I would just like to thank you both for absolutely everything on the run up to, and during the stay for our wedding.

    All our family and friends enjoyed the stay, and the wedding itself, and many said they would be returning to stay over as the hotel was so beautiful.

    We've had the time of our lives and we thank you so much for it.

    Just a note to say thank you for a wonderful day on Saturday. Everything went perfectly from the ceremony to the DJ and we're really appreciative of the efforts you all put in.

    I gave a nod to you, to Hannah and the catering staff in my speech and I want to reiterate how helpful Hannah was in organising everything. The waiting staff were very impressive (it was like a military operation!) and the food was perfect - so many guests complimented it. The room and the breakfast the next morning were great too.

    Our Wedding day

    ‘Everything was perfect and I could not have even imagined how perfect it could possibly be. It is all down to Isobel and Liam who worked so incredibly hard to make sure everything went smoothly and our wishes were met. I don’t even think I could start to thank them for everything they have done because 1 it would take me forever and 2 there are no words. I cannot fault them in the slightest. I want to do it all again!’

    Diddams & Alipoor Wedding

    Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at the Principal Hotel this weekend. Natalie and Javaad seemed to spend the whole day with the biggest smile.

    Liam and his team were really great and everything went like clockwork. We were particularly impressed that nothing seemed to faze the team and there was nothing that was too much trouble.

    Please can you pass on our thanks to everyone at the Principal and be assured that we would recommend your hotel to anyone planning a wedding in the future.

    James and I would like to say a big thank you to you and the team for working so hard to make our wedding run smoothly.
    We had the most wonderful day, it was just perfect and we enjoyed every minute of it.
    We were all impressed on the day with how Liam organised everything from start to finish and made us feel totally at ease.

    Mr and Mrs Formons Wedding on 5th December

    The wedding was absolutely fantastic thank you, we couldn't have imagined a better day!

    The whole experience from our initial meeting with the wedding coordinator to the day itself has been brilliant. Katie helped us so much along the way with your ideas and achieving ours. Caroline was absolutely fab on the day, so helpful and making sure we were happy throughout the day.

    The service on the day was great, everybody got what they ordered, there were no delays and the food was amazing, many of our guests said the same, the lemon tart was a firm favourite!

    The renovations were amazing, from what it was to how it is now is incredible and it really does look five star, all of our guests commented on the decor of the hotel and we felt very privileged to be the first to use it!

    We really can't thank Katie and Caroline enough, you've both been so great throughout and we'd have no hesitations in recommending you both and The Royal York itself.

    Mr and Mrs White Wedding on Sunday 6th September

    We would like to Congratulate you and your team for the hard work and attention to detail on our Wedding day. It was such a wonderful day and we all had an excellent time. No-one could fault anything.

    We would like to say thank you to the Royal York, especially our wedding Host, she was excellent and the day ran so smoothly, it was relaxing. The food was superb, a massive thank you to the Chef and his team, everyone is making the Royal York a place to visit for food now!

    Myself and my wife will be visiting the Royal York Hotel in the near future, for a nice meal and we will always remember that special day we had with you.

    Wedding - Saturday 1st August 2015

    We had a lovely time at our reception last week. I thought the wedding coordinator did an excellent job in the planning with us over the months since we booked your venue. We found you to be very responsive and amenable to our requests, and very helpful. You made the planning process easy for us and coped well with the ever changing demands, eg on seating plan and numbers during the last week. Our suppliers were also impressed by your interventions, and found you very helpful.

    The venue looked fantastic and the food was excellent. You’d laid out the room very well and it looked lovely with all of the items we’d left with you placed in the Oak room. The service was good overall, and we found people approachable and responsive. All of our guests have given us very good feedback and everyone really enjoyed their day. We couldn’t have asked for more and are so pleased that we chose to hold our reception at The Royal York. Holding the wedding breakfast in the Oak room and then moving downstairs to the evening reception in the Events room worked really well and we’d definitely recommend your venue to others.
