Perfect day , with dedicated staff

We had the most perfect day in December for our wedding! Very well organised , nothing too obscure or too much trouble for the team here. Amy was the lady running our day and despite never meeting her before it all ran smoothly and our requests were met regardless. The food was delicious and plentiful and everyone commented on how wonderful the whole day was. The venue itself is so beautiful and decorated so well that we really only added very few decorations ourselves as it was already so beautiful. - saving us a lot of work which was also a big reason for picking this venue! We stayed at the venue and the rooms were spotless, comfortable and convenient. Even the next day all our belongings were carefully packed and ready for us upon departure.

Best Day Ever

David and I would like to say the biggest thank you for the most perfect wedding day on Saturday 1 March. We couldn’t be happier with the way everything went. Everything ran so smoothly and nothing was too was too much trouble. Zoe was incredible and Aimee was so efficient. Our guests were so complimentary about the venue and particularly the food. The bar staff were brilliant and Carl was great even though our singer got a bit carried away and went on longer than planned!
From day one when we met Amanda there has not been a single hitch. All of the suppliers that you recommended have also been fabulous; we used Anderson Craft, Stag Cottage Flowers and The Fruit Cake Factory. Thank you all again

Beautiful wedding venue in Kent

From the moment we walked into the Moat at the beginning of 2023 we knew it was the place we wanted to become Mr & Mrs. We were bowled over by the venue’s sheer beauty. It provided us with everything that we were looking for, rustic, charm and authenticity.
The staff quickly became friends, nothing was ever too much trouble. The wedding team catered to our every whim and never once got fed up of our endless questions or requests.
They helped to bring our vision to life which made the day even more magical.
We got married at Christmas and the venue was decorated perfectly, there was no need for us to add any further...

The Perfect Pub Barn Wedding Venue

This was the perfect venue for our wedding. The team that looked after us were incredible. The organisation of everything throughout made it all so easy and relaxed. They catered for many different options so we were able to enjoy our wedding exactly as we wanted. And on the day it all went brilliantly. We particularly appreciated how the team had scheduled moments for my wife and I to enjoy by ourselves, to take a breath and absorb it all.

Everyone commented on how fabulous the venue looked. It required minimal decoration, which worked well as we needed to make a small budget go a long way. The rooms and bridal suite on site were also a...

Best wedding ever!

We cannot recommend The Moat enough....the truly pulled off the most incredible wedding for us. From our first visit, through all the planning and the day itself we had exemplary service, care, warmth and organisation. They made everything so easy, were willing to go above and beyond and put us at ease.

Special shout out to our coordinator on the day, Amy. When we arrived the day before to drop off our stuff she was so knowledgeable, helpful and calm as well as bringing such a positive vibe. All our family and guests commented on how wonderful she was.

The team at The Moat liaise with all your vendors and make everything so easy including the registrar people, band, photographer etc.

It's the perfect venue if you want somewhere that's going to make planning straightforward but at the same time not feel like it's just a cookie cutter wedding venue that pumps out weddings on repeat. The place is somewhere we'll always go back to as a pub for years to come and it's got a lot of character and charm. It was also comparably great value, wedding prices are usually extortionate but I think their rates are very fair.

We had the best day of our lives and highly highly recommend The Moat to anyone looking for a venue in the area.

Wedding - 28th September 2024

I would recommend The Moat over and over again!! To say it was the best day of our lives is an understatement! The whole Team went above and beyond, it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The venue, food, staff, DJ, singer - everything was totally amazing. Wish we could do it all over again!! Well done to each and everyone of you - and thank you from the bottom of our hearts xx

The Wongs Wedding

The venue was set up amazing, very soft and personal for our ceremony. The barn looked stunning! Amy and Amanda were brilliant, they made our day run so smoothly. Amy had everything under control and made me feel very confident and relaxed. She was very calm and on the ball the whole day. All of our guests said how exceptional the food was and considering we had a lot of guests everyone’s food was piping hot and very tasty. In the evening the disco was really good and he made great choices of music to how the evening was unfolding, and he didn’t talk all night either. We had all six rooms which are kitted out lovely. Would definitely recommend The Moat it was a fantastic day.

Amazing venue

We had our wedding here this month, and it was amazing. The venue is already beautifully decorated so we didn’t need to add too much, and during planning Amanda was more than happy to accommodate our wishes (we added mini golf and pool tables). The value for money is exceptional!
On the day Amy was absolutely brilliant, she kept us informed about what was going on and made sure we had everything we needed, which on such a busy/overwhelming day was amazing! The rooms are lovely too.
The food here is fantastic, and the guests loved the bbq type buffet we had for the wedding breakfast. The DJ that is included was also great, and made sure to stay...
