Amazing Venue

The Parlour in Blagdon is one of the best places to get married in Northumberland full stop. The staff are professional, fastidious and very quick to respond.

The flexibility was amazing. Me and my partner requested a BBQ meal in November (in the snow no less) and they were able to provide, as well as looking after our pooch during the ceremony.

The food was absolutely amazing with both the daytime and evening food blowing us away and we'd consider ourselves foodies. The evening entertainment was excellent too with the DJ willing to accomodate the various music tastes at the party.

The price was also VERY generous considering we'd seen venues half as good charge over 3 times the price. Its an absolute steal of a location and I would recommend this place to ANYONE who wants a nice venue.

Unbeatable

From the day we viewed the venue right until checking out the day after our wedding there was nothing that was ever too much. The staff are friendly, professional, kind, thoughtful, attentive and something we hadn’t found with other viewed venues the staff are honest - if something isn’t going to look right or be right for you not only will they say that but they’ll help you make it better and find a way to make it work. We are in awe of the job this venue and there staff did and will never stop recommending them to everyone we possibly can.

The most perfect wedding

All of the staff went above and beyond to make the whole planning of the wedding and the actual day as smooth as possible. I thought it would be stressful but not at all. Everything was taken care of for us and we never had any issues or worries. Last minute changes were no problem at all which do happen. None of the staff made me feel like a problem they were just happy to help. Special mention to Naomi for helping us plan our special day. You are amazing at what you do! Max who helped me and the girls in the house on the morning, planning us going down the aisle, carrying my dress and being amazing all day with making sure it all went to plan. You are a lovely person and a delight to have with me through the day! The girls who I didn’t get the. And of but two brunette ladies who arranged the wedding breakfast - that room looked amazing we were over the moon. Finally to the amazing chefs - the food throughout the whole day was bloody amazing and everyone was so happy - no complaints from anyone it was just lush!

Thank you all again and the people in the background who I didn’t get names of but this really is the perfect venue. Having the option on the day to get married outside in the sun made it even more special.

We can’t wait to visit at Christmas with our son and see you all again!

Excellent from start to finish!

We couldn't fault The Parlour, they made the whole wedding process hassle free. From the package we bought to the three pre wedding meetings (sometimes you only get one from a venue) nothing was too much trouble.

We're also wedding photographers and know what wedding days can be like and they made it stress free, even down to decorating the venue the night before.

We loved that you could make the day your own. There's nothing restrictive but if you need guidance, they're there to ask for help!

The venue itself is beautiful and exactly what we wanted (intimate, yet not too small). We had less than 40 people but it never felt empty or that we were missing anything.

I have booked my wedding with them for next year and honestly can't fault them.

Naomi has been fantastic and has been very responsive and always willing to help. The venue is beautiful as well!

Perfect from start to finish

Where do I even start? i booked the Parlour 4 years ago for my wedding on 26th October and fell in love with the venue straight away. It was a wet and rainy day but the atmosphere of the venue was perfect. Over the years the Parlour has undergone loads of changes all of which I've loved. I've had loads of queries and chopped and changed my mind with things but everyone has been so helpful, supportive and nothing short of brilliant. We had the most perfect day with family and friends saying just how fantastic everything. The food was perfect and have had so many compliments. Special thank you to Naomi for answering the many many questions I've had over the years, Roxanne for getting the venue sorted in the morning and supporting us girls and to Maxine who was just phenomenal on the day at keeping me right and checking that the mascara was staying in place!!

The biggest of thank yous ever, I really couldn't have wished for a better venue to host our wedding day. Anyone that is considering the Parlour, 100% book it.

Truly magical

Our special day at the Parlour was just absolutely wonderful, we couldn’t have asked for more!
The team of staff are flawless, they kept me at ease, informed and supported on our day. The food, attention to detail, the rooms and the overall venue is just outstanding. We both felt the day went a smooth as it could have done and we felt special, thank you.

The perfect venue

From the moment we chose the parlour as our venue the staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, nothing was to much trouble, they made our day more amazing than we could ever had imagined! The food was absolutely beautiful, the venue was stunning. We were made to feel so special by all of the staff. The cottage on site was the perfect setting for us to spen our first night as husbad and wife.

06.09.24 Our wedding with the Parlour at Blagdon

From start to finish Naomi and the rest of The Parlour team have been fantastic. The attention to detail, flexibility and enthusiasm really made our wedding planning experience enjoyable and put us at ease. On our big day, the team worked tirelessly to ensure we had the best day. Our MC on the day, Alison was just fantastic! She reacted before there was even a problem. Pulling out chairs, checking on us both and explaining the day at every step. She was amazing and really made our day. Overall the venue was beautifully presented, good value for money and the food and drink was phenomenal. We opted for cocktail jugs instead of the traditional wine on tables and it went down a treat with our guests. The optional bridal brunch was also a lovely extra detail. The venue is also dog friendly which was really important to us. The staff were just as attentive to our two dogs as our human guests. We can’t recommend The Parlour enough!
