People always say not to worry about the detail as weddings never go exactly as you imagine... however that was not the case with our wedding!
Our wedding at The Parsonage was absolute perfection, from the stay the night before all the way through to waking up the morning after.
From the moment we booked the venue we had the best service from the wedding team.
Questions were always answered quickly and promptly helping us feel at ease and as stress free as possible during planning. The wedding coordinator on the day was great and kept us to timings, making sure we fit all of our plans in to the day. We would 100% recommend The Parsonage as a wedding venue, without a doubt!!

There isn’t enough space in this box to explain how perfect our big day was and that is all down the the fabulous staff at the parsonage, from the minute we booked with Louise she was there every step of the way even though I just have driven her crazy with my constant emails. On the actual day of the wedding we had the lovley Elaine who took care of us and nothing was too much trouble. She took every bit of stress off my shoulders and I can’t thank them enough, if you’re thinking about booking this place for your wedding then definitely do it you won’t regret it. Every single one of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been too.

Perfect day in a beautiful place
Our day was amazing. Just perfect in every way. Samantha was fabulous with answering questions about our day, making additions and in accommodating dietary restrictions to make sure all our guests had a special day. She was in contact with suppliers we were using to ensure they had access to the venue the day before. The room was set up beautifully. Elaine (food and beverage manager) on the day was amazing. She was calm and did everything and more that we asked for. She made sure we were ok and all our guests. The bar and serving staff were friendly and professional. The Parsonage is a beautiful setting and the grounds and rooms were perfect. Guests could enjoy the grounds and the sunshine as well as the lovely conservatory seated area and the well stocked bar was very accessible. I can't thank the team enough. We loved our day and all our guests did too. I would happily recommend all engaged couples to go and see them. They will make your day magical. -

Had our wedding here on the 4th of July 2024, absolutely stunning venue, amazing staff that catered to our every need, fabulous wedding coordinator Louise Bramley who made organising our wedding so easy and stress free. A special mention to the master of ceremonies Elaine who had the day running like clock work. As a bride and groom we could not have been made to feel any more special on our wonderful day. Thankyou to everyone. -

The best decision we made when organising our wedding was to have it at the parsonage hotel and spa. We visited many other venues but upon visiting the parsonage we immediately knew it was the venue for us. The wedding team communicated with us timely and compassionately right from enquiry until after the wedding. No question was a silly question, and nothing was too much to ask. The wedding team where there every step of the way throughout wedding planning to help guide and advise us. We were able to reserve a large number of rooms for our wedding guests and the process made it very easy for them to call and pay for their room, wedding night stay for the bride and groom was a lovely extra included in the package price. I stayed in the bridal suit the night before the wedding but when I returned with my husband later on the staff had been and remade it all just perfect, with little added extras for the night of our wedding. I was worried the bridal suite was not going to be big enough for the bridal party to get ready on the day and so the wedding team arranged for the room next door to be reserved so we had use of that which was amazing. we choose a package for our day, the value for money was outstanding and took care of all the small details that can be difficult to organise. Arrival, reception and toast drinks were included but neither of us like either wine or beer, the wedding team arranged for us both to have the drinks of our choice instead and we were never without a drink. The wedding breakfast and evening buffet were also outstanding, all our guests commented on how lovely the food was. Thanks to the wedding team, absolutely nothing went wrong on our wedding day, they helped with everything from the music, down to moving tables to where I preferred them to be on for the evening do. They were on hand from start to finish and their support was very much appreciated. we hired a company to dress the venue and a band for the evening and all the staff at the parsonage were extremely accommodating helping them access all the areas where they needed to be. The grounds around the Parsonage are beautiful, we were lucky to have beautiful weather for our wedding day and so were able to make full use of the grounds for the day, many of our guests spent the entire evening sat outside and it made for beautiful back drops for our photos. Almost a year on and our guests still talk about how beautiful and lovely our wedding day was. It was like a real-life fairy tale just as I had always wanted, and that is mainly down to all the staff and the wedding team at the parsonage hotel and spa.

The staff at The Parsonage genuinely made sure our day was perfect - from the planning to the actual day. Nothing was too much trouble and our day ran smoothly. Louise and Katie answered our many questions and requests in the planning and were able to put an anxious bride at ease! The venue itself is beautiful and allows for some incredible photos in the grounds. Thank you all so much for helping to create our perfect day! -

Amazing special day
We had the most wonderful day at the Parsonage for our wedding day.
We got married in the August and visioned our wedding photos to be full of greenery from the gorgeous gardens. The pictures did not disappoint as the gardens were immaculate and so well maintained.
The whole day ran smoothly with excellent service from all the staff involved.
The food on our wedding day was gorgeous with loads of compliments from our guests.
The parsonage will hold a special place in our hearts.

We had a wonderful wedding at the Parsonage Hotel. I can honestly say it lived up to all our hopes and dreams for the day.
The Events Team are professional, knowledgeable and experienced. They listened to what we had in mind for the day and guided us through the process. I was able to contact them when I had any queries without feeling a nuisance and they responded quickly and helpfully. On our wedding day everything was just as we had asked for and they were behind the scenes making sure everything was going according to plan. The Events Team made the whole experience from start to finish as stress free as possible.
We were married at the Church next door so had only a few minutes’ walk to the hotel after our Wedding Service. On arrival we were all guided to the Conservatory overlooking the beautiful grounds where welcoming drinks and the most delicious canapes were served to us on the terrace. Guests could chat, children could run around in the very safe gardens, and we had our photographs taken in lovely grounds.
The wedding breakfast meal was superb with food cooked to perfection and the room was laid out beautifully. Our guests couldn’t have been more complimentary about how beautiful it looked.
Later in the evening the DJ recommended by the hotel entertained us. I had produced a list of songs I wanted to be played, which happened, but also he added music which fitted the mood. We couldn’t have been happier.
Most of our guests stayed the wedding night in the hotel and were very pleased with their rooms. My bride’s room the night before was lovely and was of a good size to accommodate myself and my bridesmaids in the morning to get ready and drink champagne.
Breakfast the following day was of a very high standard with the service again being excellent and some of our guests took advantage of the hotel’s pool and spa before leaving.
The Parsonage Hotel delivered for us on our wedding day to the best of standards and I would thoroughly recommend it for any couples wishing to marry in the York area.
