Colin and Emma’s Wedding 12.08.23

When my husband and I made a list of venues to visit, The Talbot was at the top and after our first walk through the courtyard we both knew this was only place we wanted to get married!
Luckily for us it ticked all our other boxes too;- style, location, budget, exclusive use, accommodation for guests, amazing food and incredible staff.
We had such a fantastic wedding day at The Talbot, we wanted to do it all again! The whole day just flew by.
Being a bit of a control freak it was very hard to let go of the reins on the day and trust that everything would run smoothly, but because of the amazing Krystyna and her team, that is exactly what I did!
I didn’t have one stressful moment because she was there every step of the way making sure it all ran like clockwork. Krystyna was wonderful to work with and instilled such faith and confidence throughout the planning. We felt so supported and that our wedding was as important to The Talbot as it was to us. All our guests raved about the venue, staff service and food. A special mention to Nicholas as well. He helped me with my dress as I was walking across the courtyard to the ceremony and was wonderful at calming the wedding party’s nerves before walking down the aisle.
We were blessed with lovely weather, although that made the Wisley Suite Reception room very hot in the evening and windows couldn’t be opened due to noise pollution. I have been told The Talbot are installing air con for next year!
From start to finish it was a magical day at a wonderful venue. Thank you.

Attention to detail was exceptional, quality of venue was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for anything. Links given from our Talbot wedding planner Krystyna were ideal & also exceptional. Our wedding was awesome thanks to everyone at the Talbot.

The best day

There is so much I can say about our wedding, the venue and the suppliers but when we were looking for venues, we were blown away by the Talbot. We had a church service in Godalming and our reception at the Talbot (with an old London bus taking everyone there and back).

On the day everything ran so smoothly. Krystyna was so friendly and communicative throughout. Always very quick to respond to emails and we had various check-in meetings throughout. Nothing was too much trouble and she took all the stress away.

The Talbot itself is very picturesque and has a cosy feel. Part of the inn is all yours for the day and there is plenty of room for friends and family to stay. All of the staff were very friendly and made our day perfect. Thank you again!

Wonderful venue

After our afternoon ceremony at a local register office, we chose to have our evening reception at The Talbot Inn. We were attracted by the rustic charm of the hotel and the flexible options of the adjoining function rooms. They afforded space for guests to dance, watch others dance whilst seated, sit and chat in a quieter back room, eat from the buffet or drink in the dedicated cosy bar area. We also had use of the pub area and the delightful garden before the evening event started. From initial inquiries to finalising our wishes, staff were very flexible and efficient. It all made for a perfect day.

Our wedding....2024

We got married in Leatherhead Registry office and had our reception and evening party at The Talbot. We chose the Talbot for 2 very important reasons. Firstly the buildings themselves are lovely. They have character as they are 700 years old. Most other hotels have no character.
Secondly the people we met there. All very polite and very good at their jobs. Krystyna in particular could not have been more helpful.
The day itself was magical. Weather was good, all the guests enjoyed themselves, the food the Talbot provided for us was excellent. Couldn't have gone any better.

Fantastic wedding venue!

We had our wedding at The Talbot on 6th September 24 and we can’t thank all the staff enough for all their work and efforts in making this the most perfect day. The day ran absolutely seamlessly, the food was fantastic and we have received so many compliments from friends and family on how lovely the venue was and what an amazing day it was. Krystyna our wedding coordinator was incredible from start to finish, helping us through the planning every step of the way. She was absolutely amazing and was always so happy to help, answer any questions I had and put me at ease the whole step of the way. The bridal suite was lovely and the wedding package they offer is worth every penny! Thank you so much

Wedding at The Talbot, Surrey on Sat 1st June 2024

Got married at this hotel in June this year, it really was the most beautiful day, so much better than we could have imagined.
The hotel is just so beautiful, old & full character.
I can not even begin to express our gratitude for Krystyna (our wedding coordinator), helping & being apart of our special moment, the whole day ran so smoothly because of her.
All of our guests commented on how beautiful the hotel was, how delicious the bbq food was & that it was just the nicest wedding to attend...I am so proud to have married my husband at this hotel, it was the best experience ever.
I put this down to the hard working, friendly, professional Krystyna & all the staff.
All the recommendations for DJ, Photographer & Event decoration made by the hotel all very much brilliant, professional & just awesome people to work with (I really do highly advise that you go with the hotels preferred vendors, it takes away hours of stress & searching lol).
We will of course be coming back to celebrate future anniversaries, we genuinely love this hotel & feel very privileged to have got married here, we shall forever have beautiful memories of The Talbot.
Can not recommend this hotel enough for a wedding, party or leisurely stay...

The perfect celebration of our marriage

Krystyna, our wedding coordinator at The Talbot, was professional and very welcoming from our first meeting in May 2023 and right through to our wedding day on 29 June 2024. The ceremony room was so pretty and perfect for an intimate wedding with close family and friends. We choose to have more of a celebration of our marriage than a formal affair and The Talbot were very accommodating and produced a wonderful barbecue as the wedding meal which all our guests enjoyed and commented on the quality of it. The rooms were decorated beautifully by Ether Events and hit just the right note for us - pretty but not overdone. And the music for the evening by DJ2K had all our guests on the dance floor. The new air conditioning system in the Wisley Suite definitely helped as well as it was a warm evening!

Me and my wife had our Wedding reception here in May 2024! Was absolutely amazing!
Proper attention to detail, great staff and customer service, clean and comfy Rooms and delicious food! Especially the Pizzas. Reasonably priced aswell!
